Mia smiled as she woke up in the hospital bed the next day. She couldn’t help but smile, thinking about Jimmy. He had to leave since visitation time was over but she knew they would see each other today after he went to talk to a lawyer.
The door opened and her doctor walked in, “Hello Mia, how are you feeling today?”
“Good, any news on when I can go home?” She asked.
“You can go home tomorrow. One at the latest, but first we need to get the test results back.”
Mia nodded and sat up a bit, “Okay, will that be in today?”
He nodded, “They will be in later today.”
“Okay.” Mia nodded as a nurse walked in and gave her a tray of cereal, and orange juice.
Almost all day Mia watched TV, surfing through the channels for something to watch. Before too long the door opened and Ethan walked in.
“Sup future Mrs. Sullivan?” He asked while holding up a bottle of orange juice.
“How did you bring that in here?” She laughed.
He thought, “Hmm, well I just used my sexiness on the woman at the nurse so she just let me in.”
“You are such a whore, Velma doesn’t like whores.” She smirked.
Ethan hissed at her, “Shhh! You know I like her!”
“Well man up and show her, she feels the same way.” Mia giggle at her brother.
Ethan scoffed, “No she doesn’t.”
“Oh yes she does.” I spoke in a sing-song voice.
His eyes lit up, “Really? Do you think she’d go out on a date with me?”
I nodded, “Yeah dummy, I thought eventually you would catch on.”
He tossed me the orange juice and ran out calling behind him as he left, “Bye Mia!”
“Loser.” She laughed to herself and turned the channel to Fuse.
They were playing an Avenged Sevenfold play list and she couldn’t help but bite her lip every time she saw Jimmy being a beast on the drums as usual. She felt her heart flutter when the video was over and the announcer talked about her marrying Jimmy. She thought the woman would slander her but instead she spoke about how happy for the couple and congratulated them.
“Well hello, beautiful.” Jimmy spoke from the door.
“Hey handsome.” She greeted happily.
“Oh good Mr. Sullivan you’re here.” The doctor said before walking in.
“What’s up doc?” He asked then snickered thinking of the cartoons.
Mia giggled and rolled her eyes as Jimmy laid on the bed next to her.
“Well Mia, looks like all of your results came out fine” he said looking at the clip board then looked up with a smile, “And congratulations.”
“On our engagement?” Jimmy asked.
He smiled and shook his head no, “On your pregnancy. You’re pregnant Mia.”
