"So you told her what now?"

I was so confused.

"I told her that you still like her."

"Why?" Rian asked.

"Cause the girl walked in, and I panicked." Zack replied.

"What were you talking to Cayla about anyway?" Jack asked him.

"I found out something about Mason."

"What did you find out?" I asked, suddenly becoming interested in what he had to say.

Zack looked at all of us, whom were looking for answers.

"Alright, so I found out that Mason is just in the relationship for the sex."

"She’s already had sex with him?!" I burst. I was angry.

"No, now shut the fuck up so I can tell you the rest of the story."

"Fine." I mumbled as I sat back into my couch, and listened to what he had to say.

"Katelyn hasn’t given it up. She told him that she wanted to wait until their wedding night, and he said that it was okay and that he would wait. Obviously the guy is a tool." Zack stated. "So I overheard him talking to his friend, Charlie, who happens to be a girl."

"How do you know?" Jack asked.

"I saw her."

"Oh damn." Rian mumbled.

"Anyway, so he and Charlie were getting all hot and heavy when he was all ‘wait until after my honeymoon. I’ll divorce her, and then I’m all yours."

I stood up, and I headed toward the door.

"What the hell, man?!"

"Alex, where are you going?"

"I’m going to talk to Mason."

"Alex, stop." Zack stepped in front of me. "It isn’t your place anymore."

I was slightly scared. Zack’s size was seriously bigger than my own.

"It’s Katie, Zack. I can’t just let some British asshole do this to my girl."

Zack offered a small smile.

"Alex, she isn’t your girl anymore. You gave up the right to call her that when you let her slip through her fingers." He stated sternly, but with a kind voice.

Fuck Zack. He was too good of a guy.

"I still have her heart." I stated.

"No, you don’t, Alex. Her heart belongs to Mason, whether you like it or not. Let it be." He paused. "It isn’t your place." He repeated.

I felt slightly defeated.

"Zack, I-I can’t let him hurt her..."

Jack and Rian came up beside us.

"None of us want to see that happen." Rian put a hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah, dude. Maybe it needs to come from Cayla."

"That’s what I’ve been saying." Zack sighed heavily. "She agreed to at least talk to her while they went shopping today."

I huffed in defeat, and I walked back to my living room, my three best friends following close behind me.

"Dammit!" I yelled, and rested my head in my hands.

Fucking mother fucker who’s fucking some whore.

I wanted so bad to hurt him, but I knew that if I did, I would be hurting Katie.

"Try them one!" She encouraged as she tossed them at me.

I rolled my eyes, and looked at Cayla, who was standing next to me.

"I’ll be right back." I replied as I walked off quickly, and I tried the them. After deciding like I liked them, I changed back into my other clothes, and walked out.

"Score!" Lisa giggled.

"Okay, now can we leave?" I asked. "You said that once everyone found something in the store that we could leave."

"Yes!" Cayla, Liz, and Lisa all stated at the same time.

I laughed, and we headed toward the cashier with our clothes.

"I want to go in here." Cayla stated as she pulled us into Earth Bound.

"Really, Cayla? Really?" I found myself asking her out loud.

"What?" She shrugged. "They have cute dresses..."

"Since when did you like this place?" Liz asked with a laugh.

"Since my husband decided to knock me up on the first try."

I ended up laughing loudly.

"Really?" I asked. "The first one?"

She nodded.

"We Merrick’s strive for perfection." She giggled as she place her hand over her tummy.

"That’s so cute that it’s sickening." Lisa laughed.

"I completely agree." Liz joined in.

Cayla rolled her eyes.

"Shut the hell up, and let’s go in here!"

　

　

"We’re back!" I yelled into the house as Cayla and I entered with our bags first.

I heard no noise, so I assumed that Mason was still gone.

"Where is Liz and Leesh?" I asked Cayla.

"Still outside."

I nodded.

"Kate, can I talk to you?"

"Mmhmm." I nodded. "What about?"

"It’s about Mason."

"What about Mason?" I asked cautiously.

"He’s...I mean Zack saw and heard him..."

I laughed at my friend’s awkwardness.

"Spit it out, Cay,"

"Mason is..."

She hesitated, and it made me antsy for her response. I wanted to know, but she was cut off before she could saw anything else.

"Ooh Hi, Love." Mason came in from the back yard.

I smiled at him, and I received a small kiss from him.

"Hi, babe." I replied. "We just got back."

Mason looked at me with his soft blue eyes, and I felt my smile grow slightly.

"Great! Charlie arrived a little while ago."

"That’s great! I would love to meet..." I trailed off when a tall, tanned blonde came into my house. "Who is this, Mason?"

"This is my best friend, Charlie." He introduced her.

At first, I thought that Alex was going to get in our way, but by the way she walked, I knew otherwise.

I found what our new problem was.

And her name was Charlie.
