If Looks Could Kill, I'd Be Dead

The bell echoed through the hallways. I couldn’t help but grin, since Theta and I decided to invite Loren and Camden to go to the park with us. I loved the park. I mean swings and slides and just having a place to be a kid again was amazing.

I skipped over to Theta who was standing by her locker, putting books into it and getting some out to study with. I couldn’t help but wrap my long arms around her and spin her around once until she faces the locker again.

She laughed the entire time and when I finally set her down she turned around and glared at me playfully. I smirked and made myself look as innocent as I could, which sort of failed, and hugged her again, without spinning her around.

“Are you excited for the park?” I asked her.

She laughed and nodded, “Yeah I am. I hope Loren and Camden like it too and don’t find it too childish.”

“Who can find the park childish? It’s amazing!” I laughed, grabbed her hand and ran out of the school, finding Loren and Camden by the gates, waiting for us patiently.

Camden look up from the floor when he heard us and I could see a small smile on his face when we came closer. He had one hand clutching onto Loren’s, the other one hidden by the long sleeve in his mouth.

That boy always had to have something in his mouth.

“Hey guys.” I greeted and smiled at both of them.

Loren nodded in my direction, before detaching his hand from his brothers’ and hugging Theta warmly.

She let go, her cheeks flushed red and a sparkle in her eyes that I’ve never seen before, but it made my heart pound and made me smile brightly that just being around the Brit made her this happy. I wanted her to be happy above all things.

“You guys ready?” I asked them.

Everyone nodded and we walked down to the nearest park. Camden was clinging to his brother, whenever a car would pass by he’d flinch, but Loren calmed him down, by sliding his hand onto his back and rubbing it softly.

I sighed and continued to watch the younger boy walk, his hips swaying oh so seductively. Honestly did he have to walk around like that? It was pure torture to watch this small, skinny boy purely walk! Imagine what he’d look like when he tried to be sexy!

We finally got to the park and Theta grinned when she saw the monkey bars. She cheered and then ran away from us towards them.

Theta had mad arm strength, so she loved the monkey bars because she was amazing at it.

“Where do you wanna go?” Loren asked Camden, who looked around, his eyes widening when he saw the swings. He pointed at them and jumped up and down slightly.

I couldn’t help but look at him and admire him. He was just so damn cute! I mean here he was getting far more excited than I’d ever seen him over a set of swings! I chuckled and walked over to the slide and sat down on it.

From here I had the perfect creeper view onto Camden, since I had a feeling that Loren would never let me talk to him after what happened. I was a pretty big jerk to Camden and I couldn’t believe he accepted my apology and even decided to go with me somewhere alone!

“You can stop perving on ma little brotha now if you’d like.” I heard the deep sexy voice of Loren and for the first time I realized how I hadn’t looked at him at all yet the entire walk here. I haven’t looked at his tight pants or the tight shirt.

I’d only had eyes for Camden...

“I’m not perving on him. He’s just really good looking and one of the sweetest and most adorable people I know.” I stated the truth and looked over to see Theta and Camden talking.

Camden didn’t look her in the eyes, merely looked at the ground, his feet digging into the sand. He shook his head at something Theta said, but didn’t reply with words. Even from where I was could I see his face turning red, for some reason or another, and I could see how awkward and uncomfortable he was.

I just wanted to walk over there and hug him, tell him not to be afraid of either Theta or I, but I couldn’t do that, because I had Loren, Camden’s personal body guard stand right behind me and if I made one step over there I would be killed on the spot.

“Well all I ever see is you eyeing him like a crumpet.” Loren explained.

I rolled my eyes, which he didn’t see, “I can look at whoever I want man, but you’re brother is so shy and adorable... was he always like this...? So helpless?”

Loren looked at me and sat down as well, beside the little Tic Tac Toe game, where you turn the squares onto whatever sign you want and you can play Tic Tac Toe that way.

Loren shook his head, “No. He used to be the most hyperactive kid. Always smiling, never hiding behind giant sweaters, but something happened, and he changed. I can’t help it, but I need to understand it and so I’m not trying to change him back, just accept him for how and who he is and try to help him over everything that’s happened.”

I think that was the most Loren had ever told me about their home life back in England. So something bad had happened to poor little Camden?

I felt my fists clench at the thought of someone hurting him or laying one finger on his perfect frame. Whoever hurt him would get a nice, long beating from the USA.

“I’m glad he has you. You seem like the best big brother.” I smiled over at Loren, glad we’re having a somewhat normal conversation.

“He looks up to me, so I gotta watch out for him as best as I can.” Was all he said.

I shrugged and looked over, seeing Theta sit on another swing, talking to Camden, who was still not directly looking at her, but he seemed to be listening. He still had his feet in the sand, he still looked uncomfortable, but I guess it took him longer to really trust someone than most people did.

I wonder what made him this way...?

“So, have you seen any hot girls yet that you want to date?” I asked casually.

Loren looked at me and then shrugged, “I guess. There is one or two who are really nice and all... I still need to see though.” He told me.

I smirked and nodded, “Just don’t take too long since the girl you like might be taken by then.”

He nodded thoughtfully and looked over at Theta and Camden, a smile gracing his serious features. I couldn’t help but grin when I saw him like that. He better ask her out, and he better be a good boyfriend to Theta, because I could gladly punch him again and bitch him out.

I looked over as well, my eyes trained on little Camden who was softly kicking his legs to get more air. He didn’t have the sleeve in his mouth and held onto the chains of the swings for dear life as he got higher and higher. I slid down the slide, Loren following me as well and the two of us walked over to the swings.

By the time we got there, Camden was already way up high on the swings. I sat down on one as well, Loren taking the swing beside Theta. I smirked and when Theta looked at me winked at her. She blushed and rolled her eyes at me with the ‘Shut-The-Fuck-Up’ look.

In that moment, Camden let go of the swing and jumped off flying to the air and hitting the ground hard.

I gasped in horror and in shock when I saw this, Loren standing up, faster than I’d ever seen him stand up or anyone for that matter, pure horror written across his face. Theta turned ghostly white in the matter of mille-seconds.

I heard something coming from Camden that almost made me drop dead in front of everyone here. The sound echoing through my mind over and over again.

He had the most adorable and perfect giggle, I’d ever heard.
