Alex's Senior Prom

"You look gorgeous," My mom stated the second I came down the stairs.

"Honest?" I asked her.

She nodded her head, and my father smiled.

"You are beautiful, honey." My dad agreed.

I laughed, and continued down the stairs.

"Thanks," I replied. "Mom picked out the dress."

"You have always liked black," My dad pointed out to her.

"That I have." The blond nodded.

I love my parents to death, and I hate to think that this is the last time that my mom will ever see me go to prom.

"Is Adam here?" I asked.

My dad nodded.

"He's in the back yard with Cayla, Zack, and The Gaskarth's."

"That's what I was afraid of." I mumbled before walking out to where everyone stood.

"Katelyn, look at you." Peter pointed out.

I smiled, and hugged him and Isobel before walked toward Adam.

Alex's eyes never left me.

"You look perfect, baby."

"Thank you," I replied, giving my boyfriend a deep kiss. "Let's get these pictures over with so I can get to this lame ass dance."

"Hey, it's my last year." Adam chuckled.

I patted his cheek lightly.

"I know, babe, but I really do not want to go. Let's make an appearance, and then leave."

"You win." He sighed heavily.

"I always do." I laughed and kissed his cheek.

Believe it or not, I love winning, but one thing that I love more is when someone doesn't take my crap, and put's up a challenge.

Alex never put up with me.

"What's wrong, lovely?" Cayla asked second after she came up to me.

"Adam! I've been trying to get out of this fucking place for like ever and he just won't come!"

"That's what she said." A man voice laughed from behind.

I turned around and saw Jack standing there.

"No hug for Jack Attack?"

I smiled.

"Of course, Jackers." I gave into his arms, and hugged him tightly. "Care to dance with me? My boyfriend has disappeared."

"Why not?!" Jack yelled before we walked onto the dance floor with Zack and Cayla following us. Jack and I goofed off, dancing like we were idiots. We caused a crowd to laugh at us instead of dancing on their own.

"Jack, stop tossing her like a rag doll."

We stopped dancing and turned around to see Lisa and Alex holding hands.

"I am not!" He stomped and pouted. "You interrupted us."

"Sorry, Jackie." Lisa smiled and laughed.

I refused to roll my eyes.

"Hey, do you mind if I dance with Katie?" Alex asked.

He knew that the old nick-name would piss me off, but he didn't care.

"Be my quest." Jack replied, giving me a look that said he knew what Alex was up too. "Care for a drink, Lisa?"

"Sure." She nodded.

The two walked off awkwardly toward the refreshment table.

Seconds later, Alex was pulling me away from the dance floor and out into the hotel's lobby.

"What are yo-," I was cut off by Alex's lips pressing into mine.

"Whoa!" I stated, pushing him away. "What the fuck has gotten into you?!"

"Katie..."

"No, Alex! No." I stated, pushing him again, and trying to walk away.

"I miss you, Katie. I really do."

"Do you miss me or just messing with my emotions when you get bored?!" I snapped bitterly. "You make me sick, Lex. You really do."

I quickly walked back into the ballroom, and I found Adam.

"Hey, babe." he smiled, kissing my forehead.

"Come on, let's go. I'm sick of the sketchy-ness of this whole place."

"Sure thing, babe."
