The second we drove off,I wanted to jump out the car. I wanted to run to her and never let her go. Yeah I was happy that I was going to be able to see my old buddies...but I don't want that. I want Aaliyah. When she ran out the house when I told her I was moving,I honestly went crazy. I didn't sleep that whole night and cried like a baby. Shi+ I cried more than Miya did. Miya was very intelligent. When she saw Aaliyah walking my mom said she started crying. And when we got in the car and pulled away Miya screamed. It took my mom a straight hour to calm her down. I smiled at the thought of my stubborn Aaliyah telling Dani she wasn't going. My dad in fact wasn't going to stay in Cali with us though. My mom and him weren't back together,he was going to go back to Chicago and help with Aaliyahs mom. I begged him to let me go with him,but he says I have to focus on basketball more in Cali. He thinks Aaliyah was a distraction. Bull shi+! We pulled up to the airport and the people came and got our bags. My mom held a sleeping Miya and we walked in. The ariport wasn't that crowded and in fact I saw Soulja Boy and Arab on the other side about to board a plane. If I wasn't so depressed I wouldve yelled something at him. But there was no sense in doing it. We were waiting in line and then my dad turned around. "You still thinking about her?" He asked. "This whole day." I croaked. He sighed. "Do you love her,son?"
He asked. The question surprised me but I answered without hesitation. "More than anything." I said. "What do you think she's doing right now?" He asked. Why is he asking me all these questions?"Uhm probably at prom...without me." I said. Then he held up the keys. "Why don't you go join her?" My heart almost leaped out of my chest. My mom turned around smiling. "ARE YOU SERIOUS?" I yelled. He nodded. "Thank you! Thank you! I-I-I'll call you guys when y-y-you land!" I stuttered with excitement. They laughed and I grabbed the keys and ran out the airport. The people loaded all my stuff back in and I zoomed back to Chicago.

"Aaliyah stop moping! You're making the makeup look bad!" Dani hissed. We were both dressed and we looked extravagantly beautiful. Djay was going to take me to prom and he was downstairs waiting. Denshia and Loco were wearing yellow and they looked flawless. They were wearing so much yellow they shouldve been in Gucci Manes video. Dani and Montrel split and they started dancing. We pulled away and some girl grabbed Djay and started dancing. He started dancing with her and looked back at me. I just smiled and walked to go sit down,I was tired anyway. As I sat down I felt hella stupid. What the fuk just happened?!
Dani and Loco came over then,and Montrel was dancing with Denshia. "What were you guys going to do?" Dani asked. "Yeah...that...was weird." Loco said. "Shi+ I dont know! Im just as confused..." I drove to Aaliyahs apartment and her mother said she was at prom. Good. I got dressed in my outfit that I was supposed to wear and raced to prom. When I got in,I saw her..she was coming out the bathroom and she looked exqusitely beautiful. Just seeing her made me stop walking. She turned around and almost spit out her water when she saw me.
"Darnell?" She said. I walked over to her and she ran to me and she jumped on me. We both started crying. "You came back...you came back..." She said crying. I let her go and started kissing her. And Miya...she cried for an hour for you. Cuz she saw you walking into the apartment when we were saying goodbye. So when she saw only me get into the car,she flipped out. We couldn't calm her down but we knew who she wanted." I said. "Are you serious?! She cried for me?!" She grinned. "Yup! And guess who I saw at the airport?" I asked. "Who?" "Soulja Boy and Arab!" And then kissed me. The kisses got more passionate when her phone rang. She pulled away but I brought her right back down. "Ignore it." I said. "I can't it's probably someone wondering where I am,no one knows I left with you." She said. I sighed and she answered the phone.

I realized that he had the whole gang with him and had me on speaker. Then Dani got on the phone. "Are you serious! Oh my god,you and him both get over here now at the warehouse! We need to celebrate!" She squealed. I laughed. "Okay we'll be there in 10 minutes." I said. I hung up and Darnell was laughing at me. I was so happy that he was back and now I was pregnant with his child. My life couldn't get any better.
