High School Sweetheart

I rolled over in bed, feeling it wave and rock with every bump in the road. It made sleeping easier, knowing that I wouldn't be woken by pot holes and speed bumps. As for the guys, I couldn't be so sure. I pushed my damp hair from my face and let out a loud yawn. I didn't know what time it was or how close we were to our first destination. I wanted as much sleep as I could get.

According to the guys, touring was extremely exhausting. Johnny referred to the end of the tour as feeling like a vampire. By the time they got home, they could sleep for days at a time. I slowly closed my eyes once more, falling into a light sleep. I was excited, but most of all nervous. I had a twist of feelings, so I couldn't choose which one came first.

It seemed only a few seconds passed before I felt the weight of multiple people landing on top of me. I grunted under the pressure as I sank rather quickly into the water bed. The bed began to rock over and over, forcing the feeling of a water ride to sink into my head. Johnny began shouting, "Get up! Get up! Hillari, get up! We're here!!"

Once the large amount of weight lifted off of myself and the bed, I felt the covers get pulled messily from my body. I groaned quietly before rolling onto my back. The guys stood in my room, smiles encasing their faces.

"Come on! We're here!"Zacky took a hold on my wrist, pulling me from my bed.

It was wise of me to shower the night before, because I wouldn't have time now. I was barely able to change into my jeans and tank top before the guys pulled me from the bus. Luckily, I was able to shove my camera into my back pocket. We stepped to the side, where Matt opened up a door. Multiple bags and equipment squished against the sides.

I came to wonder how they managed to fit so much stuff in there. I brushed my hand down my face, careful not to smudge my freshly put on eyeliner and mascara. That was a downfall for me; I always forgot about the make-up, which forced me to fix it multiple times throughout the day. Brian turned around with a smile, saying, "Now that you're up,"

"Not by choice."I crossed my arms over my chest, trying to play stern.

"you can help carry this stuff in!"He smirked.

"Dude, this shit weighs a -"I cut Jimmy off with a proud grin.

"I can handle it."I reached in for the first bag, but Matt stuck his hand out.

"I'll pick it out."After a few moments of rumaging around the bags, he pulled out a medium sized duffle bag.

He planted it into my arms and I gave him a sarcastic roll of my eyes. This bag could have weighed possibly ten pounds and he thought that was enough? I pulled it over my shoulder and stuck my hand out for another one. He gave me a questioning look before reaching in for another one.

"I'm not as weak as you think, Matt."I chuckled.

I took hold of two more small bags before following Jimmy and Brian into the stadium. I was in awe when I saw how large this place was. We eventually made it to the stage, where we placed our bags down. I took a good look around the building and shook my head.

"This place is huge!"I commented.

"And we're sold out tonight."Brian smirked.

I took a look back down at the stage and cocked my head to the side slightly. I was a little confused, seeing as we only brought in about seven bags. There was clearly more than that sitting in a pile in the corner.

"Who's are those?"I pointed in that general direction, forcing a large grin to form on Jimmy's lips.

Brian snickered quietly before walking away. Jimmy placed a heavy arm over my shoulder and commented, "I had a few lists of your favourite bands off of your Ipod. You're going to be excited."

"Who is it?!"I began to think about the bands on my playlists, praying to god that at least one of them be here.

"Let's head to the back. They should be getting ready to set up. They're our first act."I followed Jimmy behind the curtain and couldn't help but feel childish.

I felt my knees buckle in excitement when Matt Tuck of Bullet For My Valentine looked over at us. I wanted to yell and hug him, but I didn't want to make a fool of myself. Jimmy welcomed Matt by giving him a rough hand shake and hug. I smiled shyly when his eyes fell on me.

"Who's this?"He gave me a warm smile as Jimmy introduced me.

"This is Hillari, my daughter. This is -"I couldn't help but finish the sentence for him.

"Matt Tuck, singer of Bullet For My Valentine."He stuck out his hand and I happily shook it.

"I should have figured you would have known."Jimmy chuckled.

"I love your music."I smiled."I think I have every song you ever made on my Ipod."

Matt chuckled loudly before crossing his arms over his chest.

"Thankyou very much."He looked back at Matt."I didn't know you had a daughter. How long have I known you? No inventations to her baptism?! I'm insulted, Jimmy."

"It's a long story,"Jimmy's eyes fell on me for a moment."but it's a great ending."

Jimmy and Matt conversed for a little while, allowing me to take in the surroundings. I walked along the stage carefully and came to find another set of bags. I was growing more excited than ever. I was extremely curious to find out who the second act was going to be. The guys from Avenged eventually brought in the rest of their equipment before welcoming Matt once more.

I let a quiet sigh escape my lips as I thought about trying to decipher Matt Tuck from Matt Sanders. I figured the Avenged Matt could deal with his stage name, Shadows, for now at least. I stuck my hand into my back pocket and cautiously stepped over to all the guys. Their laughter died down when I snuck my way in. With a smile, I asked, "Can I get a picture with you?"

"Absolutely."He posed for the quick shot and his smile grew."Wanna meet the band? Do you mind, Jimbo?"

"Not at all. Just make sure nothing happens to her. We're going to do sound check and set our shit up."Jimmy looked down at me and gave me a stern look."Be careful, Hillari."

"I know."I sighed."Have fun! I'll be back!"

I waved back from the guys and followed after Matt. According to him, both bands were hanging out back stage. They all had their equipment set up, each behind their own curtains. Their sound checks would come soon, but since Avenged Sevenfold were the main act, they had to be at their best. Matt took a hold on the door and looked back at me.

"You have their names down too, or am I the lucky one?"He grinned.

"No, I know their names too."I said shyly.

I wasn't sure how much more I could embarass myself. I know I'm not the only fan who knows the guys by their real names, but being the only fan here so far made it feel that way. Matt pushed open the door and I felt my heart race against my chest. Not only was the rest of Bullet For My Valentine in the room, but so was Papa Roach.

I felt like a fan girl on the verge of screaming. Two of my favourite bands sat in the room, looking up at me with ether smiles or hungry stares. I gave them a small wave before Matt pushed me forward. Loudly, he pronounced, "This is Hillari Sullivan! Jimmy's daughter. Which means no starring, rufeeing or molesting will go down or he will offer cruel and unusual punishment."

Some rose their beers in my presence and some cheered quietly. I was excrutiatingly nervous about the whole situation, but within a few minutes, I found myself breaking down. Over the next few hours, pictures were taken and beers were passed around. The guys in the room were actually nice and fun people. They knew how to party, but not party hard before they go on.

It was only shortly after I popped open my fourth beer when the door swung open. Zacky, Brian, Jimmy and Johnny walked through, sweat staining their t - shirts and skin. They seemed exhausted, but it didn't stop them from heading toward the fridge of alcohol. Johnny rose up the Jack Daniels and shouted, "Time for shots!"

The guys cheered him on as he popped off the cap and chugged heavily from the bottle. My throat burned just watching him drink the dark liquid. When he pulled the bottle from his lips, his nose scrunched up slightly. He must not have been as used to the liquior as I thought he was. We passed around stories and more alcohol before I noticed Shadows was missing.

I leaned toward Jimmy and asked, "Where's Shadows?"

He gave me a weird look, possibly from the nickname.

"When did you start calling Matt Shadows?"He asked.

"I'll get confused if I call out for Matt and both of them turn around. Wouldn't you?"I smiled.

"Makes a little bit of sense. He found this girl we used to know."Jimmy shook his head before cracking a smile."Angela Baccardi. Sweet girl."

"Who was she?"I asked.

"She was Matt's Highschool sweetheart. She left him when the band started to get big. She said she didn't want to get in the way of his dreams."He frowned."Tore him apart for the longest time. Turns out she's gonna be on tour as well. She helps set up the equipment and does our sound checks."

I nodded slightly before stealing a large swig of my beer. I didn't know how this Angela girl was going to go down. I only hoped Matt wouldn't get side tracked from Jimmy's condition. The other guys wont have such a good eye on him. Matt will be the only one to constantly be on his back. The door to the room came open again and Matt walked through, a young girl following behind.

His laughter forced the room to become slightly silent. I peeked over Jimmy's head and took in her features. She must have been close to his age, but you couldn't tell. She still had young features, so if she really was in her late thirties, age was treating her well so far. She was slightly shorter than myself and slightly curvy.

I was happy to know she wasn't another one of the stick figure like girls that love the guys. Black hair fell in layers to her shoulders, which complimented her chocolate brown eyes. They were hidden slightly behind a pair of black rimmed glasses. She seemed very shy, but I bet after a little while I could get her to talk her life away. She was dressed casually, so I didn't feel like an idiot.

A v - neck t - shirt showed off her curves, as well as a pair of dark jeans. Her cute outfit was topped off with a pair of black flip flops. I took notice of a small tattoo on her coller bone. It was done well, because the skull and roses seemed very realistic. Shadows took her hand softly and looked into the room. Proudly, he said, "Guys, this is Angela Baccardi. The freshman from High School? Remember her?!"

He seemed excited, but I was slightly defensive against the idea. I would have to get to know her and fast. I only had three more days on this tour before I was shipped back home and on my way to school. I needed to make sure this woman wasn't going to be a threat against Jimmy's illness. I had a doubt she would be, but you could never be safe about rockers.
