Left In The Dark
Chapter 15
“What are you.” I mumbled. He walked toward me as I fell back on my butt. “Willow…” He smiled.
“What the hell are you!” I screamed. “Sh!” He shouted as I quieted down. “Aaron…are you human?” I asked.
“No.” He simply responded.
“Are you going to hurt me or anyone else?”
“No.”
My blood was cold and my face was flushed. I reached out and lightly touched his wing. It twitched as a small smile rose on my face.
“Your…beautiful.” I breathed. “You mean…” He paused. “You aren’t scared or disgusted?” He asked, surprised.
“No, Aaron, you’re so….well amazing. This is amazing!” I smiled, pointing to his wings.
“It’s the fairytale turn. I don’t get it.” I beamed, running my fingers over his wings.
He just stood there, in shock that I didn’t run, or scream.
“Promise me one thing.” I stated, my smile leaving my face. “What is it?” He asked, getting tense again.
“You won’t hurt me.” I stated, recalling last nights dream.
“I promise, Willow Clark, I will never…ever…hurt you.” He said. I stared wide eyed at his wings.
This was the boy next door.
This was my neighbor.
