“Aaron…you aren’t in condition to be running from the FBI.” I said, my voice shaking, trying to stay calm.
“Don’t tell me what I should and shouldn’t be doing.” He snapped, before looking at me. His face softened as he tried again.
“Listen…I’m fine. I’ve been in this position before.” He began before I cut him off.
“I haven’t.” I stated the obvious.
“True, but you see. I know how to.”
“I don’t”
“If you’ll let me speak, Willow.” He said, glaring at me. “I know how to do this.”
“I could be indangered.” I pointed out, as he looked at me with love in his eyes. “Willow.” He breathed, touching my face.
“Willow…I won’t let anything hurt you.” He said, as I rubbed up against his hand.
“What about my family?” I asked. Something washed over his face, sending me a bad feeling.
“You won’t let anything hurt them, right?” I asked, my voice rising alittle.
“Right?” I asked in a shout. He looked down at his shoes.
“Aaron! Answer me!” I screamed. “Willow.” He started, my eyes began to burn. “Promise me you won’t let anything hurt Ava.” I whispered.
“I can’t” He said, staring at me, looking for forgiveness. “Why not…” I asked, my voice dropping to a whisper. Once he didn’t answer, I repeated myself.
“You won’t let anything hurt them…you can’t.” I began to whimper.
“Because I’m afraid I already have…”
