Bittersweet Sundown

Last Night I Blacked Out I Think

Ash woke up the next morning, feeling someones hands around her waist. She turned her head and saw a familiar face right next to her shoulder. He still looked so cute and innocent when sleeping and that made her smile.

“Bam! Wake up, sleepyhead!” she nudged him gently, watching his eyes flutter open. He didn’t pull his arms back.

“Morning Kitty,” he muttered sleepily and leaned his cheek on Ash’s shoulder.

“I have a few questions,” she said, frowning. “Why are we sleeping together? And why are we naked?”

“It’s pretty obvious, isn’t it?” Bam snorted, not bothering to open his eyes again.

“Oh my god. Tell me we didn’t do it,” she begged.

“Sorry babe, can’t say that. Unless you want me to lie to you,” he said, not feeling sorry at all.

“Ugh. This is not good,” Ash mumbled, feeling shame for her actions.

“Oh, but it was good. It was better than good. Actually I would love to show you again how good it was,” Bam was fully awake now, kissing her neck between his sentences. He made small tremors run down Ash’s spine, arousing unwanted feelings in her.

“Bam, stop. You know we can’t do this,” she whispered, fighting with that growing need in her.

“Well, it’s a bit late for that already. One more time doesn’t change anything,” he continued to kiss his way up her chin, pressing his lips to hers at last, suppressing all her protests.

“It’s not right,” she muttered, when Bam moved back down her neck, knowing exactly how to make her feel good. He still knew her body better than anyone. Instead of answering to her, he continued kissing her neck, moving slowly downwards.

“Oh damn,” she swore, pushing him off and on his back, then climbed on top of him.

“It’s not gonna happen again after this and no one can know. No one,” she said firmly, her voice full of passion. Bam nodded, sliding his hands around her and pulled her down, kissing her rather roughly.

Almost an hour later, Ash sneaked back to her own room, only two floors higher than Bam’s. She managed to get there unnoticed and closing the door behind her, she leaned her back against it. She still felt ashamed, but she had to admit that having sex with Bam was right what she needed. Sean had never made her feel so good, so wanted. Or that she had managed to make him feel like he couldn’t take it anymore. But with Bam, they both felt those feelings, they both knew exactly how to completely satisfy each other. They still had that part from their relationship left unchanged.

Sighing, she pushed herself off the door and walked to the bathroom. Her head pounded mercilessly and she felt like a smoked panda drowned in alcohol. A long, hot shower was all she wanted right now. She peeled off her clothes and stepped into the shower, not bothering to pull the curtains closed. After washing her head and body, she stepped back under the water and took a balsam bottle.

“Oh, there you are! What do you wanna do today?” she heard suddenly, seeing a figure appearing in the middle of the bathroom.

“Jimmy, get out of my bathroom,” she demanded firmly, not bothering to hide herself. Jimmy already saw everything and she knew her body was good enough to not be ashamed.

“Okay, I won’t look,” Jimmy said, quickly turning his back to her.

“Out!” Ash growled again. She was considering throwing that balsam bottle at him. But that would mean she’d have to get out to retrieve it later.

“But I wanna talk to you,” Jimmy whined, not moving anywhere.

“You can talk to me when I get out of here. Now, you, out, or I’m telling Leana that you sneak into bathrooms when a woman is taking a shower,” she threatened, smiling at Jimmy’s instantly disappearing figure.

“What the hell are you wearing?” Ash asked with wide eyes, coming out of the bathroom, looking at that hideous kimono Jimmy had on.

“Oh, you like it?” he beamed, making a full spin.

“Yuk, you look like a mad professor gone Chinese,” Ash shook her head, trying to suppress her laughter. He looked ridiculous to her.

“Mwhahaha,” Jimmy laughed evilly, looking even madder and making Ash laugh too.

“So what are we doing today?” he asked after quieting down. He skipped to the bed and jumped on it, sitting down in the middle of it, legs crossed.

“I’m having lunch with my friends before their plane leaves. After that I’m all yours,” Ash said, crouching down to her bag and trying to find something to wear. She pulled out a loose t-shirt and jeans she had cut short herself.

“Then I’ll meet you somewhere when you have sent your boyfriend away,” Jimmy joked, earning an unbelieving gaze from Ash.

“Jimmy! You know he’s not my boyfriend,” she exclaimed, looking suspiciously at him. Jimmy only smiled viciously before disappearing from the room.

Ash couldn’t ignore the feeling that somehow he knew what she’d done this morning. Growling in unhappiness, she threw herself at the bed.

May 7, 2010

Dear diary, I am THE stupidest woman on earth. Well, okay, maybe not the stupidest but I sure am a fool.

What I’ve done? I slept with Bam last night. We went to a club with Avenged guys and some time in the evening I talked to Sean. He left me to go back to Stella. And then I got drunk. I mean really drunk. I've never been even half that drunk in my life.

I actually don’t remember how we got back to the hotel or what we did when we got back. Today I woke up in Bam’s bed, naked. He didn’t have a problem with admitting what we had done. And that’s not even the worst thing.

Worst thing is that we did it again in the morning, both being sober this time. Although I must admit that sex with him was exactly what I needed now, after three years of lousy work out in bed with Sean.

Still, I’m utterly ashamed. He’s married for god’s sake. Stupid me… Stupid!

And I think Jimmy knows. Fuck.

“I swear if you’re not coming to visit us soon then we are going to kidnap you,” Ryan hugged Ash so tight she had hard time breathing.

“I promise I’ll come. I’ve been away for too long,” she promised, holding on to her friend.

“Okay, that’s enough for you, I want to hug her too,” Jesse pushed Ryan away and held out his hands. Ash gladly stepped closer, entwining her hands around his waist.

“You take care of yourself,” he said, holding her close.

“I will. Give hugs to your kids for me and a kiss to Kelly, will you?” Ash whispered, before kissing his cheek.

“Sure babe,” Jesse let go of her and Ash turned to the next person standing beside him.

“Well, it was nice to meet you Jussi,” she hugged him too, so he didn’t have to feel left out. Besides, she really liked that guy, he was interesting.

“You too, sweetheart, I hope we meet again,” he hugged her back, ignoring his throbbing head.

Ash turned to Bam at last, feeling sadness take over her mind. She didn’t wanna let him go yet. She could see same kind of sadness in Bam’s eyes too. They just hugged, not saying a word to each other. Tears were threatening to spill from her eyes but she held them back.

There was last call to Bam’s flight and Jesse stepped next to them.

“Come on bro, we have to go,” he said, laying his hand on Bam’s shoulder. Ash forced a smile to her lips and unwillingly let go of his friend. Before letting her totally go, Bam kissed her shortly on the lips. Then he turned around, not saying a word and walked away, leaving a very stunned Ash staring at his retreating back.

“Guys, please take care of him,” she said worriedly, turning her gaze to Jesse and then Ryan. Both nodded before following Bam.

Too soon all the guys were out of sight and Ash turned around. She needed to get out, there was way too many people around her. She had no idea which way to go, so she followed little green exit signs which were meant for in case of emergency.

She finally got outside and started to walk away, not even caring where she was going. Without any warning, Jimmy jumped up in front of her. Suppressing her scream, she turned a little and walked by him, giving him an unhappy glare.

“769 987 5362,” Jimmy counted, walking beside her. Ash looked at him shortly, confused by these numbers. There were people around them and she couldn’t risk saying anything.

“Take out your phone and call,” Jimmy laughed. He waited til she found her phone, then recited the number again.

When Ash lifted her phone to her ear, he disappeared as suddenly as he had appeared. Ash was wondering what this was all about and to whom she was now calling.

“Hello?” was heard with a man’s voice, waking Ash from her thoughts.

“Hi. I’m Ash. I was asked to call this number?” she said hesitantly.

“Yeah. I’m Jason. Jimmy says you’re on a ninthyeight street, right? You should see Plaza Café soon. Wait us there, we’ll pick you up,” Jason explained to her.

“Oh-kay, I think I see it,” Ash said, looking at the street around her.

“Good. See you in a minute then,” Jason ended the call without waiting for her response. Ash slipped her phone pack to her pocket and walked on. She had just reached the cafe when a silver car stopped beside her, passenger side window down.

“There you are Princess,” Jimmy screamed, leaning half way out of the car. Ash stopped, smiling. She saw Jason sitting behind the wheel.

“Hi guys,” she greeted, stepping closer to the car.

“Hey Ash. Get in before this asshole behind me loses his nerve,” Jason said, smiling at her shortly, before looking at the mirrors again. Glancing a look back, to a blue truck behind Jason’s car, she reached her hand towards the back door.

“Sit to the front, Ash, I’ll go back,” Jimmy said before disappearing for a split second and then reappearing at the back seat. Ash quickly sat to the passenger seat when the driver behind them yelled some profanities out of his window.

“So, where are you two taking me?” she asked, fastening her seat belt at the same time.

“Disneyland,” Jimmy screamed excitedly from the back, bouncing on his seat.

“You are such a child Jimmy,” Ash laughed, shaking her head at him.

“What? You don’t wanna go to Disneyland? It’s fun there,” he exclaimed, beaming like a madman.

“If you say so. I guess since I’m in LA, I have to visit Disneyland sooner or later,” Ash smiled, turning to look at Jason. “You’re coming with us, right?” she asked him.

“Yeah. Unless if you don’t want me to come?” he asked her, looking slightly worried for a moment.

“Are you kidding? Of course I want you to come. Besides, I’d look like a mad when talking to Jimmy and no one could see him,” Ash said, laughing lightly. “Oh, could we go back to my hotel, I forgot to take my camera with me earlier,” she asked shyly.

“Sure. Where are you staying?” Jason asked, stopping at a red light.

“Hilton at South Grand Ave,” Ash muttered. It was Bam who booked the rooms. She would have liked some Inn or B&B much better. She didn’t need all those fancy things and famous name, after all, she went there only to sleep.
