Lust for Death

Entering The Lions Den

Suddenly the man lunged at her, I wanted to help Hermione but the man was struck down by a red flash, Harry held onto me and kept me quiet as we looked around at a man who we had not seen before.
“Why, Madam Lestrange!” he called,
“It’s Travers,” hissed Griphook,
“And what do you want?” Hermione spoke as if she was Bellatrix,
“He’s another Death Eater!” breathed Griphook, Harry and me quickly exchanged glances then whispered the same information to Hermione.
“I merely sought to greet you,” said Travers coolly, “but if my presence is not welcome…” Travers spoke; I could see he was a bit suspicious,
“No, no, not at all, Travers,” Hermione quickly covered up her mistake, “How are you?” Hermione asked,
“Well, I confess I am surprised to see you out and about, Bellatrix.” Travers admitted,
“Really? Why?” Hermione glared at him suspiciously,
“Well,” Travers smirked, “I heard that the inhabitants of Malfoy Manor were confined to the house, after the… ah… escape.” Travers spoke, obviously he was suspicious as to why ‘Bellatrix’ was out.
“The Dark Lord forgives those who have served him most faithfully in the past,” Hermione played off Bellatrix’s personality well, “Perhaps your credit is not as good with him as mine is, Travers.” Hermione spoke, I smirked, as Travers looked offended, he then looked down at the man that Ron had stunned.

“How did it offend you?” Travers spoke,
“It does not matter, it will not do so again,” Hermione spoke coolly,
“Some of these Wandless can be troublesome,” Travers looked around at the few who tried to hide, “While they do nothing but beg I have no objections, but one of them actually asked me to plead her case at the Ministry last week.” Travers smirked then imitated the witch, “As if I was going to give her my wand – but whose wand…” Travers spoke curiously, “are you using at the moment, Bellatrix? I heard that your own was—” Travers smirked,
“I have my wand here,” Hermione snapped holding up Bellatrix’s wand, “I don’t know what rumors you have been listening to, Travers, but you seem sadly misinformed.” Hermione spoke, Travers seemed taken back, but he then turned to Ron,
“Who is your friend? I do not recognize him.” Travers spoke,
“This is Dragomir Despard, he speaks very little English, but he is in sympathy with the Dark Lord’s aims. He has traveled here from Transylvania to see our new regime.” Hermione explained,
“Indeed? How do you do, Dragomir?” Travers spoke,
“’Ow you?” Ron spoke, holding out his hand.

Travers pointed two fingers at Ron hoping not to catch anything from the deformed looking man.
“So what brings you and you – ah – sympathetic friend to Diagon Alley this early?” Travers asked,
“I need to visit Gringotts,” Hermione replied,
“Alas, I also,” Travers sighed, “Gold, filthy gold! We cannot live without it, yet I confess I deplore the necessity of consorting with our long-fingered friends.” Travers spoke, I felt a bit of tension from Griphook as I shook my head at him with a slight glare.

“Shall we?” Travers gestured forward. Hermione had no choice but to walk behind him as they walked along the cobbled street. I sighed in annoyance, this was the last thing we needed, a bloody Death Eater to follow us into Gringotts and hang around until the sun goes down… in this case meaning until Hermione’s potion wears off.

As we arrived at Gringotts we saw two wizards standing with thin golden rods.
“Ah, Probity Probes,” Travers sighed in annoyance. “So crude – but effective!” Travers nodded, what Travers didn’t notice was the two wizards jump slightly as Harry casted the Confundos charm at them to let Hermione pass.

We walked inside Gringotts, I smiled to myself as I had only been in here once in my life, with my mother when I was eleven. Harry glanced at my face for a second and then taken my hands as we continued down the hall to the goblin waiting at the end.

I sighed with worry.

“Madam Lestrange!”

If any problems were going to happen.

“Dear me! How – how may I help you today?”

It would be from this point onwards.
