Lust for Death

The Battle Of Hogwarts

I saw Harry quickly speak to McGonagall, he walked over to me as my family were getting ready to leave for the front of the bridge where the stone soldiers now stood,
“Mei…” Harry taken my hand, “I’m going to find the diadem. You… you be careful.” Harry spoke, I nodded,
“You too.” I replied.

We stood there for a second as my Father watched us,
“What the hell if my dad’s watching…” I muttered and pulled Harry into a long and passionate kiss. This was going to be the biggest fight of our lives, none of us knew if we were going to survive.

I didn’t know if I was going to survive.

Fred and George saw and whistled at the both of us, I pulled back and kissed Harry’s cheek,
“I love you, so very much.” I whispered, Harry smiled brightly,
“I love you too.” Harry returned the love; I kissed Harry once more then quickly turned and left with my Father.

“Was there any need for that?” My Father asked,
“Yes, this is going to be one of the biggest fights of our life… I wanted a confidence boost and to tell Harry I loved him… just in case I didn’t get another chance to tell him.” I explained as my Father put his hand on my shoulder,
“I promise to make sure you live… so you can be with Harry.” My Father smiled, I quickly hugged him as we stood at the bridge.

There was a huge dome over Hogwarts where many spells had been cast to keep the Death Eaters and alike out of the school. I was stood in the middle of my family.

There were probably about 50 of us.

The Skylar family was huge… I had many cousins, many second cousins, many grandparents and many uncles and aunties.

I looked at my dad, he smiled at me briefly, I taken a deep breath.

I had to admit.

I was scared.

A hand landed on my right shoulder as I looked at my Grandma, she smiled at me as I looked forward once more.

As we saw the Death Eaters launch spells they collided with the colourful barrier that protected Hogwarts.

I sensed that Harry had finally met up with Ron and Hermione. They were all safe, for now. Then their presence vanished, I guessed they were back in the Room of Requirement,
“Go…” My Father spoke, I looked up at him, “Go and help your friends.” My Father repeated,
“But-” I started,
“Just go.” My Grandma spoke also, I sighed and then smiled at her.

I ran back into Hogwarts to find my friends. I ran up to the floor of the Room of Requirement to see Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco and Blaise fall out onto the floor.

“Guys?” I spoke as Harry looked up at me, “Why are you all almost burnt to nothing…” I spoke,
“Crabbe… set fire to the Room of Requirement… and tried to kill my girlfriend.” Ron spoke as he stumbled to his feet,
“Girlfriend?” I muttered as Hermione helped Ron up completely, “Finally! Jesus you two took a while…” I smiled as Harry had something dangle from his wrist, “Is that the-?” I stopped, the thing broken into nothing.

We all heard a faint scream off in the distance,
“Fiendfires…” Hermione spoke, “They are cursed fires that are able to destroy Horcrux’s…” Hermione explained,
“Probably learned it from the Carrows.” Ron snapped,
“That just leaves the snake left.” I spoke, Harry nodded.

“Weren’t you going to fight with your family?” Harry asked,
“They all said I should help you guys… I think they’re trying to keep me away from the fight to protect me…” I explained as I looked down at an exhausted Draco and Blaise.

We heard everything die down.

I ran to the window to see the Death Eaters falling back.

Take this time to bury your dead, and tend to the wounded. We will give you an hour to hand over Harry Potter.” Voldemort’s voice rang throughout Hogwarts.
