Lust for Death

Fight's Within

The next place we got to I had a chance to find some food, as I returned to the tent I walked inside.

“Hey guys.” I smiled, Hermione was cutting Harry’s hair,
“You’ve got…” Hermione spoke pointing to her lip, I rubbed my lips and found a little bit of blood,
“Sorry… bit gross.” I spoke, and quickly licked my fingers as I sat down in front of Harry with a smile, “You’re getting a bit of stubble.” I smiled stroking his cheek, Harry returned the smile, “I like it.” I added. Harry smirked as Hermione was smirking too, “What? I’m allowed to think my boyfriend looks hot with a bit of stubble aren’t I?” I smirked and kissed him quickly,
“What did you find?” Harry asked,
“A rabbit.” I spoke and sighed,
“Why the sigh?” Hermione asked,
“A rabbit can fill up a toddler vampire for… a month… I’m almost a fully grown half vampire.” I explained, “If I could have found a deer in this area then that would have been brilliant… but the first thing I came across was a rabbit.” I sighed and sat down.

I sat at the table reading my divination book, probably for the 3rd time now.

“Oh, my God.” Hermione spoke,
“What?” Harry asked sounding worried, Harry touched the back of his head,
“I’ll tell you in a minute.” Hermione ran over to me and taken the book that was next to me,
“Maybe you could tell me now.” Harry spoke, walking up to both of us,
“The sword of Gryffindor, it’s goblin-made.” Hermione spoke,
“Brilliant.” Harry spoke sarcastically putting his thumbs up, I looked at Hermione in confusion.

“Are you thinking what I think your thinking?” I spoke looking in the book she opened, “Harry, dirt and rust have no effect on the blade.” I spoke,
“It only takes in that which makes it stronger.” Hermione spoke showing Harry the book.

“Okay.” Harry spoke looking between us, I looked at Hermione blankly,
“This is why you need us.” I spoke, “You’ve already destroyed one Horcrux, right? Tom Riddle’s diary, with the Basilisk fang.” I spoke,
“If you tell me you’ve got one of those in the bloody beaded bag of yours Hermione…” Harry spoke looking at the book,
“Don’t you see? In the Chamber of Secrets, you stabbed the Basilisk with the sword of Gryffindor. It’s blade is impregnated with Basilisk venom.” Hermione explained sitting down,
“It only takes in that which makes it stronger.” Harry spoke sitting down,
“Exactly, which is why--” I started,
“It can destroy Horcruxes.” Harry interrupted me,
“That’s why Dumbledore left it to you in his will.” Hermione smiled.

“You are both brilliant, Hermione, Mei. Truly.” Harry spoke and put his hand on my leg as I put my arm over his shoulder with a smile.

“Actually, I’m highly logical, which allows me to look past extraneous detail and perceive clearly that which others overlook.” Hermione smiled,
“I just pick up on what she’s saying when she says it.” I shrugged, Hermione smiled at me,
“Yeah, there’s only one problem, of course.” Harry spoke.

The lights went out quickly, Ron’s outline appeared at the end of the table,
“The sword was stolen.” Ron spoke and released the lights, “Yeah, I’m still here. But you three carry on. Don’t let me spoil the fun.” Ron spoke, Harry closed the book and picked his leg up and put it down over the other side of the bench,
“What’s wrong?” he asked,
“Wrong? Nothing’s wrong. Not according to you, anyway.” Ron spoke,
“Look, if you’ve got something to say, don’t be shy. Spit it out.” Harry spoke, tension in the air rose quickly.

“All right. I’ll spit it out. But don’t expect me to be grateful just because there’s another damn thing we’ve gotta find.” Ron snapped,
“I thought you knew what you signed up for.” Harry spoke,
“Yeah. I thought I did too.” Ron snapped, Harry stood up,
“Well then, I’m sorry, but I don’t quite understand. What part of this isn’t living up to your expectations?” Harry walked down in front of Ron, Hermione and myself exchanged worried expressions, we started to walk down slowly.

“Did you think we were gonna be staying in five star hotel? Finding a Horcrux every other day? Thought you’d be back with your Mum by Christmas?” Harry asked,
“I just thought, after all this time we would’ve achieved something. I thought you knew what you were doing. I thought Dumbledore told you something worthwhile. I thought you had a plan.” Ron snapped as me and Hermione stepped down besides the boys,
“I told you everything Dumbledore told me. In case you haven’t noticed, we found a Horcrux.” Harry explained,
“Yeah, and we’re as close to getting rid of it as we are to finding the rest of them.” Ron snapped.

“Ron. Please, take--” Hermione spoke, Ron pushed Hermione off him, “Take the Horcrux off. You wouldn’t be saying this if you hadn’t been wearing it all day.” Hermione spoke, her voice was shaky.

“Do you want to know why I listen to that radio every night do you? To make sure I don’t hear Ginny’s name, or Fred, or George or Mom.” Ron spoke,
“You think I’m not listening? You think I don’t know how this feels?!” Harry yelled,
“No, you don’t know how it feels! Your parents are dead. You have no family.” Ron yelled, Harry tackled Ron,
“Stop. Stop.” Hermione called, I pulled Harry back quickly as Ron pushed me down on the ground as I hit my head on the step, I touched my cheek as Harry yelled,
“Fine, than go! Go, then!” Harry glared, Ron taken the Horcrux off and threw it on the ground, Harry knelt down to see how I was as Ron picked up his stuff.

“And you? Are you coming or you staying?” Ron snapped, Hermione looked back at Harry and me, “Fine. I get it. I saw you two the other night. You shouldn’t trust him Mei.” Ron spoke as I held my head,
“Ron, that’s-- That’s nothing.” Hermione spoke, she chased him outside calling his name. Harry helped me up and sat me on the bench as Hermione yelled for Ron one last time.
