Aeteanilise

Finally "Home"

St. Joseph’s at Altadena Hospital
9:13 a.m.
Leitun ran into the hospital. The white relaxing auras made it hard for him to stay active. He focused and his ilitis glowed in reaction. He ran to Lilly’s room in hopes that she hadn’t been released already. He darted to the stairs and raced up to the third floor. He swung open the door to Lilly’s room but instead of Lilly, the only thing in her room was her bed and the Yertih plant near the window.

Leitun sighed and ran his fingers through his hair.

“Thrata sient!” Leitun cursed under his breath.

“She left not too long ago,” a voice said. Leitun turned around. It was a nurse.

“The girl who was in this room was released not too long ago. I barely got here to make her bed.” The nurse walked past Leitun. She began to make the bed. She didn’t turn to Leitun as she lifted the bed sheets off the mattress and told him, “I think you can still catch up.”

Leitun didn’t say goodbye as he took off after Lilly. He ran back down the stairs and ran back into the lobby. He looked around. Just outside in a wheelchair, wearing a white dress and white jacket was Lilly. She was standing up and just as she did she suddenly stopped.

Leitun got ready to run up to protect her before he realized, she hadn’t stopped out of worry, but happiness. She turned up to the sky and reached out her arms and like it was her get well gift, snow fell from the sky.

Leitun couldn’t help but allow a smile creep across his face. Lilly walked up to a taxi and got in. Leitun watched as the cab left. Then he realized, it was odd that she didn’t have anyone pick her up from a 3 day stay in the hospital. Leitun raised an eyebrow and decided to follow.

A small house

The cab pulled up to my house and I let out a sigh of relief. I was glad I made it home in time for Christmas.

I opened my purse. I pulled out some cash and handed to my driver. I smiled.

“Happy Holidays,” I told him. He didn’t turn back as he said, “Yea, and to you too, Miss.”

I smiled and got out the car. I only had my purse with me and the clothes that I bet Natasha brought me from the hospital. I walked up my lawn to my small house. I took my keys out of my purse and was about to begin opening my door when the hairs on the back of my neck rose. I whipped around ready to fight only to see a smug expression on a familiar face.

“Woah, there girl,” Leitun said putting his hands up. “I promise I’m not going to hurt you, so why don’t we just talk this through? Please, don’t hurt me.” He raised a cocky eyebrow.

At first I was ready to begin my rampage about his bad qualities as a person, then I realized that he was with me… at my house. My eyes widened.

“Leitun!” I said sharply, “Get off my lawn.”

He leaned against the wall to the side of me.
“I gotta say, you took off pretty fast. It was hard to follow you. I never-“
“Leitun go away!” I shoved him away.
It didn’t do very much. After all, he is much taller than I am and heavier. And I was fresh out of the hospital and weak. Still, he stumbled back and his eyebrows rose. I couldn’t help but feel a stab in my heart as he looked at me confused. I didn’t mean to be so harsh but I needed him gone.

I sighed and rubbed my left temple. “Look, Leitun,” I said. “It’s nothing personal. I’m just tired okay?” I smiled. I knew it was a weak smile but I could only manage so much. “I’ll see you later yeah?” He still looked confused and hurt, but still, he nodded.

“Alright, kitten-” “Don’t call me ‘kitten!-’” “I’ll go. But I’m available whenever you need me.”

I smiled. He began to walk back but never turned to see where he was going. “I’m serious,” He continued.

I rolled my eyes jokingly. “Okay, okay!” I chuckled.

“Whenever,” He repeated. “Day, or night.” His voice lowered. “Especially at night. When you’re alone. Need some comfort… possibly a massage. Some physical therapy…”
Now I really rolled my eyes. “Oh gross.”

“I can be someone to talk to… or someone where no words are needed.” He winked and I pretended to hurl.

“Oh , Babe,” he went on, “I know ya want me. And my arms are open-“
“GO AWAY!”

He smiled. “There it is.”

I raised an eyebrow and crossed my arms. “What?”

“The old Lilly.”

I felt my heart drop to my stomach as he turned around and began to walk away. I waited until I saw him leave in his stalkermobile. Then I turned back and opened my door to my house.

Ahh, home.

In a black car

The man put down his camera. He never thought he’d see this. The Lilly girl was friends with the Aeteanilise’s Leader’s son. What a political scandal.

He also learned that she had Aetean blood in her body. What a technological advance.

And more importantly, right now, he took shots of her… and her child. What useful information for H.O.M.E.

He put away his camera and started his car. The new H.O.M.E leader would be pleased, very pleased.
