Admiring From Afar

Stalker

Cassandra’s POV

Now, where could Alex be? He might be at the music store, or maybe he’s at Starbucks, or he could be at the park… I guess I’ll go to the music store first. It is the closest.

Cassandra drove to the local music store in search of Alex. She walked into the music store and waved at the cashier. The cashier’s name was Eric. They were good friends and she knew that Eric had a small crush on her. She heard him call her over.

“Cass!” Eric shouted. Cassandra walked over to Eric.

“Hey, Eric. What’s up?” she asked.

“Nothing much… I heard you and Jack broke up… I’m sorry to hear that,” he said sympathetically.

“Well we did, but then we got back together,” Cassandra informed him. He began to frown a little.

“Oh, well, that’s cool. Well, what are you here for?” Eric asked her trying to change the subject.

“Oh, well I’m actually looking for Alex. We kinda go into an argument before and I just wanted to apologize and explain some things to him,” she said.

“Oh, well, he hasn’t been here. Sorry. However, there was a guy earlier who was asking me about you,” Eric explained.

“Really? Who?” Cass asked curiously.

“I didn’t recognize him and he didn’t mention his name. But I do know that he’s not from here. He doesn’t go to Dulaney either…I think he might be from Towson? I’m not sure though,” Eric replied.

“I don’t know anyone from Towson though,” Cassandra said.

“Maybe he meant a different Cassandra Knowles? I don’t know. You can go ask him now! There he is,” Eric said while pointing a tall guy with short blonde hair.

“I will,” Cassandra replied. She walked over the guy and immediately noticed the piece of metal that adorned his nose.

“Hi,” she said quietly.

“Hey,” he replied just as quietly.

“I was just talking to my friend, Eric, the cashier, and he, um, said something about you asking for me?” Cassandra said nervously.

“Are you Cassandra Knowles?” the stranger asked.

“Yeah, are the creeper who was asking for me?” Cassandra asked.

“That would be me,” the stranger smirked.

“May I get your name? Or should I call you stalker?” she asked him with of smirk of her own.

“Call me what you want,” the creeper told her.

“Well, then. May I ask why you were asking for me?” Cassandra asked.

“That’s for me to know and for you to find out,” the guy said as he winked.

“Oh, okay then…. Well, I have to go now. Nice talking to you…sorta,” Cassandra said while looking at the stranger weirdly.

“Nice meeting you Cassandra,” the stalker said with a smile. Cassandra walked away from the creep and past Eric who gave her a confused expression. She just shook her head. She didn’t want to explain what just happened to Eric. She walked out of the store and into her car.

Next place to try was Starbucks. She walked up the steps and opened the door. Once again, she couldn’t find Alex. She decided that since she was here she would get a drink. She ordered a Vanilla Frappuccino and walked out. Before she made it out, she felt someone touch her arm. She turned around and saw it was the stalker once again.

“So, you’re following me around now?” Cassandra asked.

“No, I just felt like getting a coffee and apparently we had the same idea,” the guy replied back.

“Well, it was nice seeing you once again,” Cassandra said and she walked out.

That wasn’t creepy at all. Cassandra thought to herself. It was like he was stalking her for real. She found it extremely weird.

Cassandra started driving to the park. That was the last place that Cassandra could think of that Alex could be. She turned off her car and opened the door. She saw Alex lying on the grass with a bouquet of flowers next to him. She started walking over to Alex and she laid down next to him.

“Those are pretty flowers,” Cassandra said quietly.

“Thanks. I got them for you,” Alex whispered.

“Really? Thank you so much Alex,” Cassandra said as she turned to face Alex. They sat up and looked at each other. Alex handed her the flowers he had gotten.

“These are beautiful, Alex,” Cassandra replied as she smelt them, “how did you know that lilies were my favorite?”

“You told me once,” Alex replied while shrugging.

“Well, I really appreciate it. Thanks again, Alex,” Cassandra said and she leaned up and kissed his cheek.

“It’s not a problem really,” Alex said nervously. Cassandra looked at Alex once again and saw that he was slightly blushing.

“Awwww, I little Lexy blushing?” Cassandra teased.

“No,” Alex muttered.

“It’s okay Alex. I blush all the time,” Cassandra said.

“Well, you’re a girl and you’re supposed to. Plus, you really cute when your blushing,” Alex said while blushing again. Cassandra blushed at that statement.

“Look! Now you got me blushing,” Cassandra said while looking down at the grass.

“Well, it’s true,” Alex said quietly. He moved his hand under her chin and moved her chin so she was looking at him, “I mean it.”

“Alex,” Cassandra said in a voice warning him not to go any further on the subject.

“Sorry,” Alex said, “hey, do you want to cloud gaze with me?”

“Sure,” Cassandra said with a smile. They lied on their backs and looked up at the clouds.

“That one looks like a horse,” Cassandra said with smile and she pointed to a cloud.

“Hahaha, that one looks like a dildo,” Alex said while pointing to another cloud.

“Alex! You’re so gross!” Cassandra said with a grimace.

“I know,” Alex said with a smirk.

Ring! Ring!

“Sorry, that’s my phone. It must be Jack,” Cassandra said while digging her phone out of her pocket. “Yeah, it’s Jack.”

From: Jack
To: Cassie Bear <3<3
Hey, baby, are you okay? It’s been an hour. I’m coming to get you. Love you <3

“Jack’s coming to get me,” Cassandra told Alex.

“Why? I thought we were having fun?” Alex asked.

“It’s not that I’m having fun, it’s just that I promised him that he could come and get me after an hour of looking for you,” Cassandra explained.

:Oh, well, let’s enjoy ourselves before he gets her, okay?” Alex suggested. They laid on the grass again.

“Oooo! That one looks like you!” Cassadnra said while laughing.

“Whoa, it does…That’s really creepy,” Alex said in awe. “Did Jack tell you that we’re putting a band together?”
“No, he didn’t,” Cassandra said. “Let me guess, you’re going to sing?”

“Yeah, and I’ll be playing guitar,” Alex told her.

“What will Jack be playing?” Cassandra asked.

“He’ll be playing guitar as well and Rian will be on the drums,” Alex told to Cass.

“Awesome. I bet you guys will make it big someday,” Cass said with a smile.

“Thanks, but I doubt it. We haven’t even had a practice yet. We still need a bassist. We’re probably going to be holding auditions starting on Monday,” Alex said.

“Ugh, don’t remind me! I have a huge test on Monday that I haven’t even attempted to study for,” Cass said with a frown.

“Hey guys!” they heard from across the field. They looked back across the field and saw Jack walking towards them.

“Hey Jack,” Cass said with a smile.

“Hey, what’s up?” Jack asked as he sat down in between Alex and Cassandra.
“Nothing,” Alex said with a frown.

“Oh, Jack! You never told me that you and Alex and Rian were going to become a band!” Cassandra exclaimed.

“I’m sorry! I was going to tell you tonight on our date,” Jack said.

“Oh well I’m really happy for you guys,” Cassandra said with a smile. She hugged both Alex and Jack.

“Let’s look at the clouds!” Jack exclaimed. They all lied down and Jack intertwined his fingers with Cass.
