Breakfast ended up being incredibly awkward for me after hearing that conversation that I never should have heard in the first place. I couldn’t let anyone know something was wrong with me.
“Baylee, you okay?” Mom asked.
“Hm? Oh yeah, I’m fine,” I replied, giving her a small smile.
Caleb grabbed my hand and squeezed it tight.
Later on after breakfast, we were back in our apartment.
“Baylee, I’ve been thinking…”
I raised an eyebrow at him.
“I think we should start looking for a house, and go ahead and move out.”
I bit my lip, “Why so soon?”
“As much as I love your family, I want us to get our own house, and maybe start thinking about making our own family.”
I felt my whole body go cold. We had talked about having kids, but I figured it’d be at least two or three years down the road.
“O-okay,” I stuttered out finally.
“Okay? That’s it, Baylee?”
“Yeah.”
“Well, alright then, we will start looking next week.”
I just nodded my head.
Caleb’s phone started ringing and he walked outside to take the call. He’s probably going to get called down to the office, I guarantee you.
Not even five minutes later, Caleb walked back inside.
“Babe, I have to go to the office.”
“I figured. I love you Caleb.”
“I love you too, Baylee. I’ll see you later.”
I sighed as I plopped down on the couch.
“Shit,” I muttered as I felt my phone vibrate in my lap.
New Message: Zacky
I giggled as I opened the message.
Zacky: Baylee, I miss you.
Baylee: I miss you too.
Zacky: How is everything?
Baylee: Okay I guess.
Zacky: Why you guess?
Baylee: Caleb is trying to change 2 a better person. I feel so guilty.
Zacky: baby it's okay
Baylee: I feel sooo bad tho
Zacky: Leave him then
Baylee:Leave him?! YOU'RE CRAZY!
Zacky: lol I know BB. I wasn't serious
Baylee: Okay.
I went off into La La Land for a few minutes. I started thinking about the hot steamy kisses we shared. I do wonder how different Zacky is in bed than Caleb. Caleb is good, but he completely shies away from anything remotely kinky. I’m pretty sure Zacky would be into the kinky stuff. I really don’t know why he hates it. Sometimes I feel completely disconnected from Caleb when we have sex.
