[Jack’s P.O.V.]
Stella made me feel so…amazingly happy. I couldn’t think straight. I just smiled the whole way home.
As I walked into the house, I ran into my mom as she was leaving for work.
“Jack? What?”
I thought fast. “I…was at Alex’s.”
She looked at me funny, but just shook her head.
“Ok. Whatever. I’ll see you later, baby.” She kissed my cheek as she rushed out of the door.
I didn’t feel like trekking to my room, so I just collapsed on the couch.
My phone vibrated in my pocket.
<My bed’s all JACKED up. AHAHAHAHAH!
I smiled as I texted back.
>You’re delirious. Go back to sleep.
<Is it ok for you to know that I miss you?
>It’s more than ok. I miss you too.
[Stella’s P.O.V.]
<We’re soooo mushy.
I set my phone down, lying where Jack had been. The pure excitement of knowing he had been there was almost overwhelming. He’d just left like 30 minutes ago and I missed him incredibly.
>Get some sleep, girl. I’m gonna need you later.
[Jack’s P.O.V.]
I was gonna take her out later. On a legitimate date. I wanted to make her feel super special.

I finally woke up completely at 2pm. I checked my phone and I saw that I had a missed call and voicemail.
The call was from Kara, so I assumed the message was from her, too.
“Ohmygod, girl! Are the rumors true? I saw Jack’s face at band practice and he is WAYY happy. Call me back, boo.”
I smiled as dialed her number.
“Stellaa! What’s up?”
“Nothing much, girl. What rumor are you talking about?”
“Hold on, just a sec?” She asked.
I waited until she was back.
“Ok, I’m here. Rumor has it that Jack stayed over last night.
I slapped my hand against my forehead. “Please tell me he’s not telling them we did anything.”
“Oh no no no,” Kara said, quickly. “Alex thinks he’s lying though.”
“I’m gonna kick his skinny butt. What happened was that Jack just showed up. We just slept.”
Kara sighed. “Stella…yall are too too cute.”
“Aww, Kara.” I laughed.
“So why aren’t you here?” She paused. “Oh, wait. I’m sure you didn’t sleep with him right next to you.”
“You know me oh so well, Kara.”
I heard her squeal and her voice sounded distant.
“Kara?”
“Hey Stellar.” It was Rian.
“Hi Ri,” I laughed at myself for making a rhyme.
“I miss you, Stella.”
“Is this Zack now?” I asked, confused. They must have been passing the phone around.

“Aww, I miss you, too, Zack.”
“Hey sexy.” I heard the smirk and knew it was Alex.
“I’m gonna kill you, Gaskarth.”
“Oh, just give me the time and place…”
I rolled my eyes and hoped that Jack would be next on the line.

“Jaaaccck…yeah, that never works with your name.”

“Hey, chill out, Kara. I’ll give your phone to you in a flash.”
In the background, I heard “But you have your own.”
I laughed into the phone.
“So, Stel, are you busy tonight?”
I shook my head. “Nope. Not as of now. What’s up?”
“Well, I was hoping I could take you out tonight.”
My heart got giddy. “I…think that’s a good idea.”
“Great.” I swear I could hear him bouncing.
“I’m gonna pick you up at 7.”
I couldn’t suppress my wide grin. “I’ll be ready.”
“Ok. Sweet.”
“See ya then.”
