"I have a what?"

When I walked up the stairs to get Tegan and what I saw made me see red.

“Tegan I needed. . .What are you doing to my daughter!?” I yelled when I saw her and Kyle kissing.

They quickly broke apart and Kyle looked like he was about to shit his pants and trust me I would have killed him right then and there.

“Dad calm down,” Tegan said walking toward me.

“What’s wrong?” Andrea asked running toward the garage.

“He. . .She. . .kissing!” I said trying to get a clear sentence out.

Andrea started laughing and Tegan still looked scared.

“Matt calm down,” Andrea chuckled, “Kyle asked me if he could take Tegan out on a date yesterday.”

“But he didn’t ask me,” I mumbled.

“Yes he did,” Andrea laughed, “You were watching TV with the guys.”

“You asked my parents,” Tegan said looking over at Kyle who just shook his yes.

Tegan smiled and rushed over and kissed his cheek.

“You’re the sweetest person ever,” she said and then rushed over to me, “Daddy he won’t hurt me I promise.”

“But you’re my baby girl,” I said.

“Let her go Matt,” Jimmy said, “Besides we already have done background checks on all of them.”

“What?” Kyle asked shocked and we laughed.

“Fine,” I sighed, “You can go on your date but I swear Anderson if she comes home crying because of you. . .”

“I promise sir nothing will happen,” he said and Tegan hit me.

“Dad stop being so overprotective!” she exclaimed.

Andrea was chuckling and I sighed.

“Can’t promise you that sweetheart,” I replied kissing her temple.

She sighed and walked over to Kyle.

“We’ll be in the living room with Mel, Stella, and Kyle,” she said dragging Kyle into the house.

Once she was out of the garage, everyone started laughing.

“So when did the overprotective dad gene kick in?” Brian asked smiling.

“Shut up Gates,” I mumbled.

“Aww is Daddy Sanders embarrassed?” Andrea asked smiling.

“You’re all assholes,” I muttered and everyone started laughing.

“Come on Mr. Overprotective,” Andrea said, “Let’s go back to the recording studio. You promised me we would record a song.”

I sighed and followed Andrea back into the house. I peeked in the living room to see Kyle and Tegan cuddling and watching the movie with Stella, Melanie, and Drew.

“I don’t think she’s old enough to date,” I said as we walked down the stairs.

“Matt she’s almost seventeen,” Andrea said, “She’ll be fine.”

“But I know what boys think at that age,” I said, “I was like that at seventeen.”

“Calm down Matt,” she laughed.

“You find this funny don’t you,” I said smiling.

“Very,” she replied and I rolled my eyes.

“Now what song are you guys playing?” Leana asked.

“‘Just A Kiss’ by Lady Antebellum,” Andrea smiled and I shook my head.

“You would pick country,” Brian said as he put on his guitar.

“I’m a little shocked that you know how to play the song,” Andrea said.

“We had to play the song for Michelle’s birthday,” Brian replied.

I rolled my eyes remembering that night and walked over to the microphone and put on my headphones. Andrea did the same and we heard the boys as they started playing.

When the song was over, I looked over at Andrea who was smiling widely. I took off the headphones and pulled her into a kiss. The guys were making puking noises and I flipped them off. All I cared about at the moment was the beautiful, talented girl right in front of me.
