New in School

I screamed as Ryan fell to the ground and his father smashed the crowbar into his side. I tried desperately to get free from the grip Brad had on me, but he was too strong.
He laughed as I cried out for Ryan when the crowbar crashed into his skull and he screamed louder than everyone I have ever heard before. Ryan’s dad pushed it further in as blood filled around Ryan’s head. He hadn’t said a word to his son as he painfully killed him.
I could barely see from the tears anymore and it started looking like a river right in front of face. I heard the way the crowbar was pulled out and smashed down once again and I felt the warm red liquid splash on me. I screamed louder as I heard Ryan choke out his last words.
“Frank.. Frank. Frank…….”

“Frank! WAKE UP!” I gasped as I flung my eyes opened and starred into Gerard’s worried hazel eyes. For a moment my mind went black, but then I started crying hard. Gerard soothed me as he wrapped his arms around me and held me close. I snuggled my face into his chest as I kept crying.

“Frank?!” Brendon shouted as he and Ryan came running into the room with Mikey humping after them. They looked dumbstruck and worried down at us as I clung to Gerard.

“What’s going on? We heard Frank scream and then you shout..” Mikey looked at his brother and pushed his glasses further up his nose.

Gerard looked down at me to hear an answer, but I when I looked up at all the boys I stared at Ryan and held out my arms that he gawked awkwardly at.
Slowly he walked over and I wrapped my arms around him, pressing him hard against him. Gerard leaned his back away a little so I and Ryan could hug. He awkwardly planted his hands on my back and tried to comfort me, oblivious confused.

He laid his chin on my shoulder and I whispered so low that only he could hear it.

“I’ll keep my promise.” I could feel him stiffing, but then he clung to me and nuzzled his face into crook of my neck.

I sighed as I hugged him tighter and after a little while he slowly pulled away and gave me a tiny sad smile. I looked up and saw that the others stared confused at us, but I just shrugged and jumped of the couch that I had fallen asleep on.

When they wouldn’t stop staring I muttered “Just a bad dream, guys…” Mikey narrowed his eyes at me, but then nodded and they went back into the kitchen where they had been in before.
I looked down at Gerard who sat down at the couch with a worried look. “Frankie, what nightmare did you have?” he whispered so he was sure the others couldn’t hear us.
I sighed and looked down at my feet, “Ryan, y’know… Just…” I trailed off. I then felt a pair of arms wrap around me and I let out a shaky breath onto Gerard’ neck.
“I’m just so scared for him…” I said and felt the tears teasingly fill my eyes slowly again. “I know.. I know…” he muttered and rocked us back and forth a little.

“Everything will be fine, you know that right? He is gonna go live with that Tomo dude for a while and then we’ll see how his father is doing… So far you don’t have to worry about him, babe.” He kissed the top of my head and I couldn’t help but smile. He was right, of course everything would work out just fine, I lied to myself.

I lifted my head and gazed into Gerard’s eyes, wishing that I could kiss him, but it was too risky with the others right in the next room.

“GET IT OFF ME!!” my and Gerard’s heads flew to the side where the noise came from. We gave each other a look before running into the kitchen where Mikey sat with a nervous expression. Behind him stood Ryan with a disgusted expression, staring down at something on his neck.

“Chill out man.” Brendon sighed and walked over to Mikey and palmed his hands behind him. “Ew, kill it!” Ryan wrinkled his nose.

“No I won’t, it’s just a little animal!” Brendon said and smiled dumb down at what ever was now in his hands and off Mikey. Mikey sighed in relief and turned around in his chair to look at the thing.

“Just throw it out the window.” Mikey muttered and Brendon nodded. Gerard walked over to them and looked down at Brendon’s hands.

“Aaaw, it’s so tiny!” he giggled and held his hands out to Brendon who dropped the thing in his hands.

“What is it?” I asked and walked to them. Gerard moved his hands towards me so I could see. I smiled at him and then looked curious down.

I screamed when I saw what was in his hands and jumped away, behind a chair. The others stared shocked at me with open jaws.

“What the fuck, Frank?” Brendon said with a raised eyebrow. “GET THAT THING OUT OF HERE!” I yelled and ignored Brendon.

“What’s wrong, Frankie? It’s just a spider.” Gerard said and smiled warmly while walking over to me with his hands stretched out.

I whimpered as it came closer to me. “DON’T YOU DARE COME NEAR ME WITH THAT!” I screamed and took a step back.

“Relax, it’s not gonna hurt you.” He said and held it in front of me. “Please… Please get it away from me…” I sobbed slightly.

Gerard tilted his head confused and with sympathy written all over it. He nodded and turned around and walked over to a window that he throwed it out off.

They all stared at me in disbelieve and like I was a crazy person.

“Uhm, what the hell?!” Ryan said. “That was wicked man…” Mikey muttered amazed. A smile slowly spread across Brendon’s face and he smacked a hand on his mouth when he laughed out.

I glared at him and hissed “It’s not funny! It’s a phobia, asshole!”

The others broke out smiling stupidly at me, but Gerard walked with and wrapped his arm around me. I wiped away the tear that had escaped and hugged Gerard back while staring evilly over his shoulder at the other boys.

“Sorry, but holy shit, that really wasn’t something I would expect from you.” Brendon grinned and I couldn’t help but flip him off.

The others laughed softly and Gerard pulled away and smiled at me. “Don’t worry, Frankie, I won’t let the crawling, eightlegged motherfuckers get to you.” I smiled and was just about to lean in for a kiss when Gerard fast turned away from me when he noticed it.

I blushed slightly and sat down next to Mikey.

“Oh, yearh, Ryan, I’ve talked to Tomo and he says that you have move in in a few days.” Mikey said and Ryan beamed.
