One Big Happy Family

Alexs POV:
I was up half the night with the twins, i felt bad because Sophie had a tough night last night so i decided i'd deal with them. I was so misrable to say the least. They were so fussy for no reason at all, i was sleep deprived and frusterated. After getting up for the fourth time that night Sophie got up to and said she'd get them this time. I went back to sleep and then next morning i woke up to the sound of people talking. I walked into the livingroom and saw Sophie and her mom playing with the twins.

"Hey guys" i said

"Hey sunshine, how are you feeling?" Sophie asked

"Tired" i said sitting down

"Thats expected" her mom said

"I know im just-...ughh i cant even make a full sentence" i said lying down

"What time did you go to bed last night?" she asked

"Uhmm like 1 didnt fall asleep until almost two and its 10 now. I woke up like four times and and each time i was up with the babys i was up for a long time. And like i had a hard time falling asleep each time i got back to bed. Im so tired" i said

"Well hopefully their not the babys that like to scream all day everyday and keep you guys up" she said

"Oh man i hope their not like that" Sophie said and i nodded and got comfy ready to take a much needed morning nap when the door opened

"Alex, Jack has lost his damn mind!" Melinda said bursting in

"Good morning to you to" Sophie laughed

"What happened?" i said uninterested and kept my eyes closed

"Jack, in his sleeping slightly drunk state last night told me he basically wants to marry me and then knock me up" Melinda said

"What!?" i said opening my eyes

"I know!, i was shocked" she said

"Maybe it was just the alcohol, you said he was kinda drunk right?. So maybe it was that. Or talking in his sleep" Sophie said

"Jacks a silly drunk, he used to sit on my lap and Zacks lap all the time and give us lap dances. Mmm fun times" i said and Sophie looked at me like i was nuts

"Alex, take your nap your obviously sleep deprived beyond belief or somthing" she laughed and i turned around and fell asleep

I fell asleep and would occasionly wake up to noises, im a pretty light sleeper sometimes. I woke up a few hours later and it was almost 2. I was surprised i slept so late, the last time i slept for that long during the day was when i was really sick in march. Im not the type to take naps since i dont like spending the day time asleep. Im a energetic person. But being a parent makes me relise that when your sleep deprived a few days in a row any extra sleep you can get in is good. I heard a noise and sat up startled, Jack walked in.

"Hey jumpy" Jack said

"You scared me" i said

"Im sorry" he said

"Mhmm, so where is everyone?" i asked

"They all went out for food" he said

"Oh. So why are you here?" i asked

"Because i came to hangout and then everyone wanted to leave and i was gonna go to but they wouldnt let me" he said

"Seriously?" i said

"Mhmmm" he said

"Why?" i asked

"No clue, they said they wanted to have a family disscussion or whatever" he said

"Weird...wait im family to!, what the hell!" i laughed

"You were out cold dude, plus they didnt want you" he said

"Evil" i said

"Yep. Oh here dude, clean your mouth there is like a mass amount of drool on you face" he laughed throwing a tissue at me

"Ewww" i said sitting up afting cleaning my mouth

"Soooo...you wouldnt happen to know why Melindas acting odd today would you?" he said

"No clue, shes on her period maybe?" i said and he cringed

"Eww. I dont no" he said and it finally occured to me what is probably wrong

"Uhmmm...well i might no" i said

"What?" he asked

"She didnt tell you about what you said last night?" i asked

"No, what did i say!?" he said

"You said you wanted to get married and have babys" i said

"What?!, no i-...aww man i gotta go" he said getting up and he left

I got up and showered and got dressed and left the house, i decided to go see my parents. My dads working today but i know my moms home hanging out with her friends like she does on this day everyweek. I got to the house and went inside, i heard talking coming from another room.

"Mom?" i yelled

"Alex?, hey were in the dinning room" she said and i walked into the dinning room

"Hey everyone" i said

"Hey" they all said

"Wheres Sophie and the babys?" my mom asked hugging me and i sat down

"With Melinda and her mom" i said

"Oh. What are you doing here?" she asked

"I was home alone and thought i'd drop by" i said

"Nice. Now ive been meaning to ask, when are you guys having the babys baptised?" she asked

"Uhmm. What?. We've never considered or discussed it" i said

"Well you guys should do it, its important and tradition" she said, my moms kinda religious shes been going with my dad to the same church since i was baptised and shes like really good friends with everyone there

"Yeah, i'll talk to Sophie later about it" i said

"Okay good" she said

"Yeah. One question though, will Micah have to wear a dress because i swear boys wear them to" i said

"No of course not" she said

"Good!, because i refuse to dress my son like a little girl" i said

"Mhmm" she said

I hungout with my mom for a little bit longer and then went home, the house was still empty which was so relaxing. I ended up getting pretty bord and went to the closet to find anything to entertain me. Surprisingly i found a coloring book and crayons, no clue left them here but there mine now. I took the coloring book to the table to color. A little while later Sophie and Melinda walked in.

"Hey" Sophie said walking over to me holding Casey

"Hey" i said

"Your coloring?" she said sitting down

"Mhmmm i got bord" i said and heard Melinda walk over

"Your so weird" Melinda said

"I told Jack about the things he said last night" i said closing the book

"I know, thanks alot dick face" she said and i laughed

"My pleasure" i said

"So...i have somthing to talk to you about" Sophie said

"So do i" i said

"You go first" she said

"My mom wants us to get the twins baptised" i said

"Really?, thats weird because ive been thinking about it" she said

"So you wanna do it?" i asked

"Yeah" she said

"Cool, i'll call my mom and have her help set it up. Shes knows everyone at her church really really well and they know me so i know my mom can set it up as soon as possible" i said

"Awesome" she said

"Yes. Now your turn" i said

"Well...my mom told me today that her and my dad are getting a divorce" she said

"Seriously!?" i said

"Yep my moms been staying with my aunt. And this has been happening for a week and im just being informed, it sucks" she said

"Awww baby im sorry" i said and she started tearing up and left the room and i sighed, this baptism is gonna be interesting
