He Could Be the One

After hours of catching up, my phone suddenly rang. I excused myself for a while and answered.
“Hello?”
“Hey Sev, do you mind picking us up?”
“Oh hey Claudia, uh yea sure thing.”
“Thanks, so how did you like your surprise?”
“I loved it….wait a second, you knew?!”
I heard her giggle. “Yep, who do you think came up with the idea?”
“Oh my gosh, Cloud! You’re the fucking best!”
“I can’t take all the credit. Sam and Toma along with the guys helped too. You have been through a lot these past 2 months and well we just wanted to make this special ya know?”
I seriously felt tears form in the corners of my eyes. I seriously have some of the most amazing friends ever. We said our goodbyes and hung up. I slipped my phone back into my pocket and made my way over to the others.
“Everything ok Sevie?”
I looked at Danny and smiled. “Yup everything is totally fine. Claudia just called asking if I could go pick her, Toma, and our friend Sam up from Sam’s boyfriend’s house.”
“Oh ok well we actually have to head back to the hotel. It’s getting a bit late.”
I nodded. “I understand. When are you guys leaving?”
Evan gasped. “You want us to leave already Sevie? I thought we were friends.”
I rolled my eyes and giggled. “Oh shut up waffle boy, you know what I meant.” Evan just smiled and laughed.
“We have to leave tomorrow, well me, Evan, and Danny do. I got a text from Alex earlier today saying that All Time Low had a private concert on the 26th back in Baltimore. Sophie can stay though, right Soph?” Flyzik asked his girlfriend.
Sophie nodded. “Of course, that is if it’s ok with all of you?”
“Hey we have no problem at all. If you stay, it’d be good for Sevie.” Frank said putting his arm over my shoulder.
“Dang it Frank you make it sound as if I’m sick or something.”
“Well, he’s not completely lying Sev.” Everyone looked at Ray. “Oh come on, you’re lovesick.” I then looked down at the ground and felt myself blush.
Out of nowhere, a pair of arms wrapped around me. Danny… “Awh our little Sevie is growing up.”
“So who’s the lucky guy?” I heard Flyzik ask.
Suddenly I heard a smack and felt someone pull Danny off of me. I looked up and saw Flyzik rubbing his arm as he looked at Sophie and Evan holding Danny by his shirt collar. I couldn’t help but laugh. We said our goodbyes after making plans to hang out tomorrow. Sophie and I exchanged numbers to keep in touch. With that done, Axel, Matt, Ray, and Frank drove our guests to their hotel. I then made my way back to Austin’s.
I pulled into the drive way and saw that Jonathan was still there. Thinking about Jonathan caused me to re-live the conversation I had with Sophie.
~FLASHBACK~
“You’re in love with him.”
My jaw dropped. “What?!”
“You’re in love with Jonathan.” She said with a smile on her face.
No way! She’s wrong. Yea that’s it, Sophie is wrong. There’s no way I’m in love with Jonathan Cook….right?
“I can’t be in love with him.”
“And why not, I see nothing wrong with it?”
I sighed. “I’m just scared.” I walked over to a lawn chair and sat down.
“Scared of what exactly?” Sophie asked, taking a seat in the lawn chair next to me.
“I’m just scared of getting cheated on like last time.”
Sophie sighed. “Sev, tell me this, does this Jonathan guy look like the type of guy that would do something like that?”
“Well no.”
“Then you shouldn’t worry about.”
“Alex didn’t look like that type of guy either when I first met him.”
Sophie rubbed the side of her head. “Hm…. Alright then, describe Jonathan to me.”
“Describe him to you?” She nodded. I just shrugged and did as she requested. “Well he’s really sweet, kind, and just down to earth. He’s very connected to God too. I just… well I don’t know to be honest. Jonathan is just an amazing human being.”
“Awh, this makes me want to meet him. He sounds nothing like Gaskarth. Anyway, when you guys hang out, does he look at other girls?”
I shook my head. “No.”
“Does he pull off the whole player kinda attitude?”
“No, not at all.”
She smiled. “Then you seriously have nothing to worry about.”
“I don’t, are you sure?” She shook her head.
“Yes I’m positive.”
I sighed. “If you say so but I’m still a little unsure.”
“Don’t be Sevie, everything will be fine.” She said with a warm smile. I couldn’t help but smile along with her.
~PRESENT~
I took a deep breath, turned off my car, and made my way to the front door. Here goes nothing… I was about to knock when I suddenly noticed that the front door was slightly open. I hesitated on just going in but in the end, my curiosity got the best of me. Once inside I closed the door behind me. The place seemed as if it were abandoned. This is really creepy. O.o I made my way into the living room and found someone sleeping soundly on the couch. I got closer to see who it was. Jonathan, why is he sleeping here of all places? I turned towards the back door of the house, when I suddenly heard a whispering like voice say my name.
“Sevie…” I turned back around and saw Jonathan slowly curling up into a ball as he hugged a pillow. Is he dreaming about me? O/////O He then snuggled into the pillow and smiled in his sleep. “…I love you…”
His words froze me right where I was. H-he lo-loves me?!?! My heart beat was off the chart. I wanted to do something like wake him up but if he ever found out that I heard him say that in his sleep, that would beyond embarrass him. Suddenly laughter came from the kitchen and made its way to the living room, causing Jonathan to wake up. Oh shit! Come Sev just play it cool and pretend you didn’t hear anything.
“Sevie!” Claudia yelled. I looked at her, smiled, and waved.
“Hey there.”
“Why didn’t you call and tell us you were already here?” Sabrina asked.
“Oh uh well I just actually got here. The door was open so I just came in. Hope that’s alright Austin?”
He smiled. “Hey, my casa is your casa. We’re all family here.”
“Have a nice nap Square?” Caleb asked Jonathan, as he slowly sat up and rubbed his face.
“Yea I did.”
I seriously couldn’t even look at him in the face without those three words repeating over and over in my head. ‘I love you’ I slowly felt my face heat up just thinking about it.
“Sev, everything alright?”
I looked over at Toma and nodded. “Y-yea, why?”
“You’re blushing.”
I quickly covered my face. “Am not, now uh can we just go?”
I made my way to the front door but was held back. I turned around and saw Jonathan holding on to my arm. Man he’s quick. He looked at me straight in the eyes, which only made me blush more. He looked at the others for like a second. All our friends then made their way past us and out the front door, leaving only Jonathan and I in the house just like before. Gosh this is so awkward. We stood there for quite awhile until he finally let me go and sighed.
“You probably hate me, huh?”
Jonathan walked back to the couch and sat down, with me following right behind. “Hate you, why would you think that?”
I sat down next to him and leaned my head on his shoulder. Where did this come from all of a sudden? Darn you body of mine.
“For acting so strange towards you, the girls pointed out that you were completely aware of it.”
I sighed. “I’m not gonna lie to you, yea I’ve noticed but I’m fine with it.” I said, completely lying on the second part.
He took my hand and held it firmly in his. “I wish I could tell you what was going on but I can’t, not just yet.”
I smiled and kissed him on the cheek. “Jonathan, don’t worry about it. Take your time and just tell me when you’re ready. You know I’ll always be here to lend an ear.”
He placed a gentle kiss on my forehead and leaned his forehead onto mine. “Thank you.”
After our little talk, we made our way out the front door and met up with the others. The girls and I said our goodbyes and headed home. The car ride home was pretty quiet as I dropped off Sam and even more on the drive home.
“Hey Sev?”
I looked at Claudia in the rear view mirror as I came up to a stop sign. “What’s up?”
“What did Jonathan tell you?”
I sighed. “I’ll tell you guys tomorrow. It’s been a long day and I just really wanna get some sleep.”
Claudia nodded and looked at Toma who just shrugged. I pulled into our house and parked in the driveway. I noticed the guys were home and had almost every light in the house on. Claudia, Toma, and I then made our way inside; they went to hang with the guys while I just went straight to my room. I closed my bedroom door behind me and headed straight to my closet to change into some pajamas before falling into my bed, looking up at the ceiling. I let out a deep sigh and closed my eyes, slowly falling asleep.
