He Could Be the One

Jonathan’s POV
On the drive to Sevie’s house, I couldn’t help but smile. I was really excited to see her. I pulled into the driveway, turned off my truck, and made my way to the front door. I knocked on the door and waited. As I waited I heard a very faint ‘Come in’. I did as I was told and made my way inside the house, closing the front door behind me.
“We’re all in the kitchen.” said a male’s voice.
I went to the kitchen and found everyone there, well everyone but Sevie.
I smiled. “Good morning ladies and gents.”
“More like good afternoon dude.” Axel said patting me on the back, on his way to the fridge.
“Where’s Sevie?”
“I think she’s still sleeping.” Matt said taking a sip of his coffee.
“I heard her talking on the phone late last night when we got home.” Claudia said taking a bite of her waffle.
“Who was she talking to?”
They all shrugged. She could’ve been talking to her family. “Well I’m gonna go wake her up if ya’ll don’t mind.”
“Nah man go ahead, she is your girlfriend after all. We’re actually gonna head out pretty soon and meet up with the other Sickers in your band so Sev is all yours today.”
I smiled and nodded. “Alright then see ya’ll later.”
I stepped out of the kitchen and headed up the stairs towards Sevie’s room. Her bedroom door seemed ajar so I quietly made my way in. There I saw her fast asleep on her bed. I don’t know what came over me but I somehow ended up next to her and kissing her lightly on the lips. I pulled away as her eyes slowly opened and a smile form on her face.
“Am I just dreaming or did my prince charming just wake me up with a good morning kiss?”
I smiled. “Good morning? More like good afternoon sleepy head.”
She giggled. “I’ve never been woken up like that before, should I expect a kiss from now on?”
“Expect it every once in a while.”
She slowly sat up in bed and smiled. “Oh I will, believe me.”
I smiled back. “Did you sleep well?”
She nodded. “Yea I did actually. I got a text from Zack a little after you dropped me off.”
“Oh wow really? What did he want?”
“He just wished me a happy birthday and we talked a bit on the phone.”
“I take it you forgave him for what he did then?”
She shrugged. “Well yea. Axel told him I’d call him and what not, so I did. We decided to put the past behind us and still remain friends. I can’t really hate the guy forever; we’ve known each other pretty much since we were in diapers.”
“I understand but just, be careful this time around ok?”
She wrapped her arms around my neck, pecked me on the lips, and smiled. “Ok I will. Now get out of my room.”
I gasped, pretending to be hurt. “Now that’s just rude.”
She pulled me into a hug and giggled. “You silly goose, you can come back in when I’m done taking a shower. It’s in my morning routine to shower.”
I hugged her back. “I’ll wait for you in the living room. Now go shower you stinky girl.”
She gasped and punched me in the arm after pulling away from our hug. “Look who’s being rude now.”
I laughed as I made my way out of her room and headed downstairs to the living room like I said I would. The house was pretty empty now with everyone gone and all. I took a seat on the couch and turned on the television to kill some time.
Sevie’s POV
After about a good 20 minutes, somewhat like always, I stepped out of the shower and got dressed. I slipped on a pair of slightly torn black skinny jeans, white v-neck, purple thin hoodie, and purple converse. Along with a little bit of eyeliner and mascara, so I wouldn’t look to dead. I didn’t really feel like straightening my hair so I just left it in its wavy state. After finally looking over myself for the last time, I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs to meet up with Jonathan. Once at the bottom, I made my way over to the living room and jumped on the couch next to my boyfriend.
“Well hello there handsome, fancy meetin you here.”
He just cracked a smile as I laid my head on his chest and wrapped my arms around his torso. “Hey there stinky girl.”
I playfully slapped him on the chest and pouted. “That’s mean!”
I felt him kiss the top of my head and chuckle. “You know I don’t mean it.”
“I know but still.”
“Alright, alright I’m sorry. Feel better?”
I shook my head and looked up at him. “Kiss me.”
He smiled and slowly pressed his lips to mine. I seriously felt like I was gonna melt at that moment. I pulled away from the kiss and smiled. “Alright I’m all better now. So what are we gonna do today Jonny Boy?”
“Please don’t call me that.” He chuckled.
“Awh but I think it’s cute.”
“It’s cute when you say it I’ll admit but I’m not a big fan of nicknames. Well except for Square, I really don’t have much of a choice on that one.”
“Oh alright fine I won’t call you Jonny Boy but still what are we gonna do today?”
“We can go chill and walk around the mall for a bit if you want. It’s all up to you.”
“Hmm alright.” I pecked him on the lips and got up off him. “Shall we get going?”
He turned off the TV and got up off the couch. “Yes we shall.”
Jonathan then took a hold of my hand and led me out the front door. He waited till I locked it before finally making our way over to his truck, and heading off towards the mall. During the whole drive to the mall, our hands were laced together that I couldn’t help but smile. When we arrived, we both stepped out of the truck and headed inside. We walked around the mall for quite some time until we stopped in front of coffee shop.
“You want anything?”
I shrugged. “Ok sure, I’ll have whatever you’re having.”
He smiled and placed a kiss on my cheek. “Ok be right back.”
I nodded and watched him walk inside the shop. I sat down at a nearby table and just looked around as people walked by. Suddenly a brunette caught my eye. As soon as I realized who it was, I quickly looked down at my hands that were on top of the table. Oh crap that’s the girl from yesterday! Please don’t see me, please don’t see me!
“Sevie, right?”
Crap!!! I slowly looked up and smiled at the brunette in front of me. “Yep that’s me.”
“I thought it was you, I’m Erika.” She sat down right across from me and smiled.
“Hello.”
“This must be awkward for you after what happened yesterday.”
“Just a little bit.”
“Look about what happened yesterday, it meant nothing. I’m really sorry it even happened.”
I sighed and shook my head. “Don’t worry about it. No need to apologize. It’s all in the past now.”
“But I think I should apologize, it was my entire fault and I saw how badly hurt you were by it.”
“Really it’s ok.”
She then sighed and looked inside the coffee shop. “I’m not gonna lie to you, I was hoping it would mean something more to him.”
I followed her eyes and saw that she was staring at Jonathan, just as he was ordering our coffees. I looked back at her and saw how much sadness filled her eyes.
“Are you in love with Jonathan?”
She slowly nodded. “I never stopped loving him.”
“Wait what?”
Suddenly I remembered what Matt had told me.
“Are you the girl that cheated on Jonathan?”
“He told you about that?”
“Well no but…”
“Then how did you find out?”
“Erika, there you are.”
I looked behind her and saw a dirty blonde standing there, almost out of breath. She stood up from her seat and hugged him.
“Hey there Kent, sorry I was just talking to a friend.”
Friend?!
“Kent, is that you and Erika? What are you guys doing here?”
I turned around and saw Jonathan standing there with a coffee in each hand.
“Jonathan, it’s been a long time.”
Jonathan set both coffees on the table and gave this Kent guy one of those bro hugs. Kent then looked over at me when they broke apart.
“Who’s your friend?”
Jonathan turned to me and smiled pulling me over to his side. “This is my girlfriend, Sevie.”
“Nice to meet you, I’m Kent Garrison.”
I nodded. “Nice to meet you too Kent.”
“So what are you guys up to?” Kent asked Jonathan.
“Just hanging out, what about you guys?”
“Oh well Erika just moved back to Texas so I’m just filling her in on what she’s been missing for the past 2 years.”
Erika then cleared her throat. “Come on Kent the movie is gonna start soon.”
Kent checked his watch. “You’re right.” He looked then looked up at me and Jonathan. “We gotta get going.”
He walked up to me and hugged me. “It was nice meeting you Sevie.”
I smiled and hugged him back. “It was nice meeting you too Kent. See ya around?”
He pulled away and smiled back. “Yea for sure, it’d be cool to hang with the gang again.”
“Again?”
Jonathan smiled and placed a hand on Kent’s shoulder. “Kent here used to be in the band.”
“Really, what happened?”
Kent sighed and smiled. “Long story.”
I nodded. “Ah ok I gotcha.”
Kent and Erika then left towards the movie theater.
“So, what did you and Erika talk about?”
I looked at Jonathan. “Huh?”
“You and Erika, what did ya’ll uh talk about?”
“Oh uh we talked about what happened yesterday.” I said looking at my drink and taking a sip.
“R-really?”
“Yea she told me that she was sorry and what not. I told her it was ok and that it was all in the past.”
“Was there anything else?’
I looked back at Jonathan. “No, that was all.” I lied.
“Oh ok then.”
After a few minutes of pure awkwardness, we stood up from our table and threw away our empty cups. Jonathan then took a hold of my hand and led the way around the mall. I couldn’t find the courage to confront him about what Erika had told me. It was killing me inside to know how things between them really went down but I tried my hardest to push my curiosity off to the side. I didn’t want to lose Jonathan. He’ll tell me once he’s ready, I know it.
