The Real Story of Heaven and Hell

Unwanted Visitors

I couldn’t believe Lil had done it. I was the one bonded yet I was the only virgin in this place. I looked up at Brian and couldn’t help but think of how many women he must have been with. I studied his strong profile as he watched the pirates make their final stand against the East Indian Trading company via Pirates of the Caribbean III.

He was so handsome, perfectly sculpted to be a woman’s dream. I snuggled further into his side causing his strong arms to hold me tighter to him. Chocolate brown eyes were suddenly looking down at me with worry. “Everything okay dashuria ime?”

I nodded laying my head on his chest right above his heart. The steady beating began lulling me to sleep as sure as his fingers making their way through my short locks. This was the side of Brian no one but me saw. He could be extremely gentle and tender when he wanted to be, which was normally when it was just the two of us.

Even as I sat here watching one of my favorite movies with the man I love I couldn’t help but wonder if he regretted our bonding. I reached over placing my hand in his much larger one. Without thought he curled his hand around mine intertwining our fingers.

When I was here, in his arms, it felt like everything was perfect, like everything was right in the world. With a smile on my face to match the one in my heart I lifted my face to place a kiss on his strong jaw line.

Brian’s eyes immediately left the tv, returning to me. After a second a grin graced his perfect lips. “You have horrible aim.”

I raised a brow at him. “That so?”

He smiled at me, one of the rare real ones, and my heart about stopped beating. “Yeah it is.”
He leaned down towards me, his eyes heating as he did. “These are my lips.”

I couldn’t think when he pressed his lips against mine. Like always the kiss didn’t stay innocent for long. His hand captured the back of my head tilting it as he licked his way along my bottom lip. He nibbled it next seeking entrance I for some insane reason was denying. With a growl of impatience he moved his kisses along my jaw scorching a path along it and down my neck.

My breath caught in my lungs when he swirled his tongue over the exact spot he had bitten me during our bonding. Lust filled me with the remembrance of what his bite had felt like. Good grief what was happening to me?

“Seraphina…” He growled in need against my neck, causing goose bumps to cover my flesh.
He moved so fast I didn’t realize I had moved until I was looking down at him. Instead of being beside him I was now straddling his lap.

His gaze held me captive. I had never seen a look of such pure love and longing before. I leaned down pressing my lips to his. This time when he sought entrance I opened for him. He kiss devoured my senses, scattered my thoughts until I could only feel. This was right…this is where I belonged.

Neither of us had realized we were no longer alone until Zacky cleared his throat. I immediately pulled back turning 20 different shades of red before settling for the beautiful shade of fire engine.

“Johnny wants to see you.” Zacky said looking past us both obviously uncomfortable. At least that’s what I thought until he glanced at me. I hadn’t expected the amount of hurt I would find in his emerald green eyes. It made me feel horrible and I suddenly wanted to do something to make him feel better.

I tried to climb off of Brian but he wasn’t having it. Instead he stood up so that I had to slide down his body. Of course he made sure this happened almost as slow as the kiss that was currently stealing my breath. My feet finally hit the ground but I wasn’t sure my legs could hold me up thanks to his kiss. How in the world did anyone learn to kiss like that?

Brian chuckled as I wobbled slightly when he let go of me. “I’ll be right back.”

I smiled up at him. “Okay.” He kissed me one last time and then left the room leaving me with Zacky. The awkward silence stretched out between us reminding me we hadn’t really talked since I had come back from hell.

I sat down on the couch calling out to Zacky as he turned to leave. “Can we talk?”

He stopped but didn’t turn around. “What’s there to talk about?”

“Everything?”

I heard a sigh leave his lips as his shoulders slumped slightly. “It won’t change anything.”

“It’ll make me feel better.” Yeah I was fighting dirty but I had a feeling it was the only way I would get him to talk about this.

Wordlessly Zacky turned and sat down on the couch with me. The barely veiled hurt in his eyes was killing me. I reached over placing my hand on his face. “I’m so sorry.”

His eyes closed for a second as his hand reached up holding mine to his face. After a second he moved it to his lips, kissing my palm. He gave me a small smile when he opened his eyes. “I should have known you would say that.”

My voice was a little on the weak side. “Because it’s true. I’m horrible. I’m causing you pain.”

“You are anything but horrible.” His eyes softened as he looked at me. His free hand lifted to run his knuckles down my cheek. “You are beautiful, kind, smart, and generous, just to name a few.”

I blushed. For the millionth time I wished I could love the sweet angel that was sitting in front of me. But my heart belonged to Brian, plain and simple. “You’re going to make someone very happy some day.”

“I wish it was you.” He whispered so softly I barely heard him.

“I’m sorry.” Lame I know but what else could I say? I couldn’t say it back to him, it would be a lie. I loved Brian and always would.

After a second he let go of me. His eyes were guarded keeping what he was feeling to himself. “Does he make you happy Sera?”

“Very.” I replied trying to hide the smile that wanted to break out on my face.

He nodded and leaned forward placing a gentle kiss on my cheek. “That’s all that matters to me.”

I wrapped my arms around him hugging him tightly. Things weren’t perfect but I had a feeling they were on their way to getting better. I made my mind up right then and there to find Zacky his perfect girl when this was all over.

Of course it was during this embrace that Brian walked back in looking severely pissed. “Take her to her room. NOW.”

His tone left no room for argument which is why I found myself being ushered back to my room by both men. They were talking to each other low enough that I couldn’t make out what they were staying.

“What the hell is going on?” I asked getting irritated with being kept in the dark.

Brian walked over to me pulling me into his arms. “We have visitors.”

I blinked looking from a pissed Brian to a worried Zacky. “Who?”

“It’s just some angels. Seems they’ve come to join our side.” Zacky answered.

“Don’t fucking trust them. I can’t believe Johnny’s letting them stay here.” Brian all but growled.

“Lil!” I squeaked in panic.

“Is going to be protected by Matt and I.”

I looked up at Brian. I couldn’t have heard him right. What about me? As if reading my mind Brian continued. “Johnny thinks its best until we figure out exactly what they’re up to if we keep up the appearance of demons vs. angels.”

“So I’ll be back with Lil?” The look on his face told me that wouldn’t be happening. “So where will I be staying?”

I swear I saw Brian forcibly swallow his growl of anger. “You’ll be staying with Zacky and Jimmy.”

My mouth opened and closed again and again as I tried to think of something to say other then no! “There has to be another way.”

Brian leaned down kissing me. “It won’t be for long babe, promise. We just need to make sure we can trust them before we let them know the truth.”

I pouted, stupid and childish but I did it regardless. “So Lil’s sleeping in Jimmy’s room with you and Matt and I’m in…?”

“My room.” My head snapped up at the sound of Zacky’s voice.

“Oh.” Yeah my ingenious response, I know.

“Don’t sound so happy about it.” Zacky said trying to make me smile.

I couldn’t smile. This felt bad, very bad.

Only time would tell if I was right.

I found myself praying to my father that I was wrong.
