Things Will Never Be the Same

Feel The Sunshine

“Get up! It’s hot outside and we are going to the beach!” I jolted awake. I looked at Dan wide eyed. After the pack dinner I wasn’t alright with my shoulders bare. Telling a person you love them and acting on it can take a lot out of you.
“Uh, no.” He narrowed his eyes at me.
“Why?” I smirked.
“Oh god, ew.” I laughed. I flipped my blankets and threw my bathing suit on anyways, I put and off the shoulder shirt on with some blue jean shorts. We got in his car drove to the beach and started walking down to the sand.
“The sun feels so good!” I jumped on his back as he laughed.
“What I could fall and tragically hurt myself.” It was true, I was uncoordinated when it came to walking down hills. He set me down and I dug my feet into the sand, it felt good.
“Guess who is meeting us here.” I groaned our cousin Lena.
“Sierra!” Claire came running up to me arms wide open I picked her up more than willingly. She eventually ran off to play with Quil, it was kind of odd that he imprinted on her.

Jacob’s Point of View

“Honestly you two need to control yourselves.” Paul was laughing. I rolled my eyes.
“Oh leave Jacob alone Paul, you’re just jealous he’s getting more than you.” Kim spoke up from Jared’s side. Paul glared at her while I smiled triumphantly.
“Would you shut up, seriously you shouldn’t be saying that to me.” Dan stopped towards us.
“Hey, you’re the one who barged into my room. I could have been naked for all you know.” Paul and Dan choked on the air. Sierra came up beside me and wrapped her arms around my waist. I placed my arm around her shoulder.
“Hey Kim.” Her and Kim said their greetings. Then everyone got quiet. Paul was intently staring at Sierra.
“What! Do I have something on my face?” She started wiping her face off.
“No, I’m just wondering how you don’t have a hickey.”
“Okay, seriously Paul why are you so interested in my sex life? It’s almost like you want to have sex with me god. And if it’s really ground breaking news I do have a hickey, happy now?” He stared at her in awe.
“I, I’m sorry. I was just bugging you Sierra.” She smiled slightly.
“S’okay, just stop alright?” He nodded.
“That’s my girl.” Everyone laughed.
“Hey Sierra, Kim can you come play with me?” We all looked down at Claire, she look almost scared to ask.
“Of course.” The girls left us and took Claire into the water. I just watched Sierra with Claire, she made watching a kid look easy. I smiled, she’d be a great mom.
“What are you smiling about?” Paul asked standing by my side.

Sierra’s Point of View

“That was quite the flip out.” Kim laughed as Claire played with the sand.
“I’m just tired of it. What happens between me and Jacob stays in the bedroom.” She laughed.
“Well the love bites are proof enough.” I rolled my eyes.
“It’s not like we are covered in them, that’s gross. We keep it light.” I couldn’t help but laugh at myself. Kim and I sat and played with Claire, I love kids.
“You do seem on edge though.” I sighed and looked up, Lena was walking down with Dan. I couldn’t help but glare at the air.
“Our cousin is here. I really don’t like her, I mean she always puts me down, and to top it off she always try to steal the guys I like.” Kim looked up and scoffed.
“She’s way too skinny she should eat more and her hair is extremely damaged.” I laughed as we watched Paul and Jared back away from her.
“Come on let’s go, can’t stay down here all day.” Claire walked over to Quil and we walked to the boys.
“Sadly, I wish we could.”
“Oh Sierra! How great to see you.” Lena pulled me into a hug, I just stayed still. Once she let go I backed up into Jacob’s arms.
“Why is she so skinny?” He whispered in my ears, I shrugged I honestly didn’t know.
“Oh is this your boyfriend, Aunt Lily said you two were the cutest.” I glared as Dan as he shrugged.
“He is quite the looker, better keep hold of him.”
“Yeah or else you’ll rape him.” Dan spoke up. I laughed.
“Daniel, don’t make me tell your mother.” He sighed, Lily would give him so much hell if he was mean.
“Well it’s almost lunch let’s go start the fire.” Sam called us over and we sat around the fire.

Jacob’s Point of View

Sierra had been awfully quiet since Lena got here, you could grab the tension that’s how thick it is.
“Sierra what’s wrong?” I pulled her to the side.
“I just don’t feel comfortable with Lena around.” I was confused, she can’t be that bad of a person.
“Why?”
“She always puts me down and whenever I like a guy well she sweeps in.”
“Are you worried about me?” She blushed slightly. I pulled her into me. She rested her head on my chest.
“You have nothing to worry about. She’s not my type, does she have an eating disorder?” A small laugh erupted from her lips.
“Oops, eating disorders aren’t funny but no I don’t think she does.”
“Uh, Jacob Sam said you show me where I could change.” Sierra stiffened in my arms.
“It’s okay, go talk with Kim.” I reassured her and lead Lena to the top of the cliff.
“So Jacob how long have you and Sierra been together?” I just kept walking ahead.
“Lena, I don’t think that really concerns you.” Lena pulled me to a stop and pushed me into the tree.
“No you’re right. You are my concern, because you make Sierra happy. I can’t have that.”
“Uh, can you stop? You’re not my type.” She looked shot down but quickly regained her composure. She pressed her lips sloppily against my, her lips were dry and felt nothing like Sierra’s. I tried pushing her away but this girl would not have it.
“Oh, I’m sorry.” I finally pushed Lena away and Sierra was standing there with tears in her eyes.
“Uh, lunch is ready.” She wiped her eyes and started walking back.
“Sierra wait!” I ran up to her, she wouldn’t stop.
“Please, you have to hear me out.”
“Jake, please I just want some space.” I stood there as she continued to walk back down.
“Well here is my number, call me when you get tired of her.” Lena handed me a paper, in return I crumpled it and threw it on the ground.
“You know you are a horrible person. Doing that to your own cousin, that’s just low.” She looked down but shrugged. I walked back slowly.
“Paul, can you take me home?” Sierra and Paul were standing by the table. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
“Yeah, if you need me too.” They started walking away.

Sierra’s Point of View

“You want to talk about it?” Paul spoke quietly from the driver’s side. I shook my head as I watched the trees go by. I sighed facing him.
“When I went to go tell Jacob and Lena lunch was ready, I uh found them kissing.” I spoke softly, I didn’t really know what to do. Paul was gripping the steering wheel.
“Paul, I don’t actually know what happened, so it might not be what we think.” He glared at me, sunk back against the door.
“How can you be so nice? I mean if my girlfriend was kissing another guy I’d be livid.”
“That’s cause you have a temper Paul.” He laughed.
“I’m Sierra, when do I ever actually get mad. Besides, I’m his imprint right? That can’t just fade away. I just need some space and time to think.” He sighed as we pulled up to my house.
“Okay, we’ll have a Paul and Sierra afternoon.” I smiled. I changed into my pjs which consisted of well a baggy shirt because all my bottoms needed to be washed.
“Paul I’m gonna put my clothes to wash.” He muttered something as I walked to the basement.
“Okay! So what’s first on the agenda?” Paul was setting up The Hangover. We got comfy on the couch and started our movie marathon. We watched movies until well we fell asleep.
“Hey, Paul.” His eyes opened sleepily, it wasn’t the same as Jacobs.
“Can we talk now?” He sat up, I blushed lightly noticing that he had no shirt on.
“Sorry, it got really hot.” I smiled nodding.
“So what happened?”
“I walked up and bam, they were kissing. That’s it. I should have known this would happen especially with her. I mean she’s always had better looks and she’s sociable not awkward and shy like me.” Paul frowned.
“Sierra, the bitch doesn’t even have a soul. You are one of the sweetest people in the world. Jacob did say she wasn’t his type.” I nodded that’s true.
“Just let things cool off, but I should go.” I frowned.
“I have patrol tonight with Jacob.” I smiled.
“Spy for me? Don’t tell him we talked about it though.” He smiled and said his goodbye. I trudged up to my room and fell back to sleep. I’m probably over thinking everything but hey, Jacob has enough strength to push her off.
