Private Universe

I was pumped for the Colorado date. I really wanted to show Alex some of my favorite places in the state. Like my book store and the best place for food. If any of the other guys wanted to come along they were welcome. I was doubting Jack wanted to come at all. He had continued to be moody and angry towards anyone that tried to talk to him. He wouldn't talk to me or Alex.

Rian and Zack let us have the morning to ourselves and Jack hadn't even left the bus. Alex and I made our way downtown holding hands. We kept looking at each other and grinning and each time he would squeeze my hand or push me to the side a little. Each time it made me giggle.

"Quit it!" I said after the fifteenth time.

"Why?" He grinned and pushed me again.

I giggled. "Because you're making this take longer than it should. You have places to be later and we have to see two places before you go frolicking around the state."

"Fine." He said. I heard him distinctly say 'kill joy' under his breath before grinning at me and I gave him a nice shove. "What was that for?"

"I'm not a kill joy."

"Debatable." I slapped his arm and he laughed. "So where the hell is this market? I don't see it anywhere."

I pointed to a building that read 'The Market' and grinned at him. "It's not an outside market like you would see in the streets. It's a restaurant. But super casual."

"I see."

We walked in and I saw his eyes get slightly larger at the sight of all the pastries as we walked in. I held back a giggle and walked to desk. Further back in the store there was more to eat but it was more lunch food.

"Pick something out." I said grinning.

He scanned all the pastries and finally decided on one with lots of chocolate. I picked something along the same lines and then ordered a few coffees. I was about to give the woman at the counter the money when Alex stepped in and handed her a twenty.

"That's not fair." I said smiling. "I'm suppose to pay for this. It's my home town so I should pay for the food here."

He scoffed and grinned. "As if." The woman handed him his change. He didn't see the way she was looking at him but I did. And I didn't like it.

"Did you see the way she was looking at you?" I whispered as we found a seat in the back past the lunch food.

"No. I was busy looking at you." His cheeks went slightly pink and I couldn't help but smile as I took a sip of my coffee. "This is the most amazing pastry I've ever eaten." He said with a full mouth.

I grinned at his puffy cheeks. "I know."

"I can't believe we've never come here before."

"I used to come here just to hang out. I used to be really good friends with the workers. I've no idea where they are now." I said looking around.

"Really? That's cool. Oh my god. I'm never going anywhere else for food when we stop in Colorado."

I rolled my eyes and smiled at him. We ate and drank slowly while we people watched. I nearly snorted out my coffee a few times at some of the things Alex was saying about people. When someone looked over at us and gave us dirty looks I decided we should probably get going. I dragged him down the street a few blocks until we were stopped by some fans. He immediately let go of my hand and part of me was hurt.

He started talking to the group of fifteen-year-olds and I walked off across the street to one of the many pianos on the street. I didn't know how to play but I had always enjoyed just listening to the sounds that pianos made. I felt Alex sit next to me about ten minutes later.

"I wish I knew how to play." I said not looking at him.

"I'm sorry." I looked at him and smiled.

"Don't worry about it. I get it." He raised his eyebrow at me. "You're in a band. And just about every girl that listens to you guys loves either you or Jack. I get it. Comes with the territory." I smiled and kissed his cheek.

He placed his head on my shoulder as I attempted to play the piano again. After a minute he took my right and held it in his. I smiled at him as he looked at me. "Show me the book store." He whispered pressing his forehead to mine.

I smiled at him and we walked across the street to the old looking building. As soon as you open the doors you can smell fresh made coffee and sandwiches. I got in line and ordered a few chocolate chip cookies because they had the best cookies in the entire universe. Then I drug him around and showed him the red couch in the children's section that I loved and the chair in the teens section that was super bouncy.

We headed upstairs where there were less people and more places to sit. I showed him the place you could see the Union Station sign and then we walked around holding hands and not talking. Out of nowhere he pulled me to a part of the store that looked like the bathrooms should have been there. But it was for employees only. We were hidden behind walls with railings. I saw him grin mischievously at me and then before I knew what was happening he had picking me up and set me on one of the railings.

He leaned close and started kissing my neck. I tried to hold in my giggles. It felt wrong in a book store but it felt so good because it was Alex. Eventually his lips found mine and I no longer cared that we were secretly making out in my favorite book store. One hand was kept firmly on my waist to keep me from falling off while the other found the side of my face where he pressed himself closer to me. My hand rested on his shoulder while the other tugged at his shirt and pulled him closer.

The passion and heat between us was so intense that when it was broken by an employee coming from behind the 'employees only' door and giving us a dirty look, all I wanted to do in the moment was attack him. Alex grinned at me and then kissed me lightly before letting me down.

"We'd better get back. We need to stop by one of the high schools and I'm kind of in the mood for a tattoo." He laced his fingers with mine as we headed for the exit.

The ride back was shorter than the ride there. Part of me wanted to spend the rest of the day with Alex. Not having to worry about the show and the signing at the Independent Records store. I was not looking forward to that part. Too many crazy ass fan girls. We grabbed Jack and Zack on our way to the tattoo shop. Rian had food poisoning so he wasn't feeling up for much. Jack came along for something to do but didn't really talk to anyone. Alex sat in the chair and watched as they inked up his left hand with a rose and the initials of someone I didn't know.

He also wouldn't talk about the initials and I figured he would let me know eventually. By the time the guy had finished the tattoo we were already a half hour late to the signing. I rolled my eyes and headed for the bus as the guys walked across the street. You could already hear the screaming fan girls and I couldn't help but smile.

When I was finally called for tech duties I was only too grateful. I was bored in the bus without anyone to talk to. Rian had been hanging inside the venue with a real bathroom. I didn't blame him. The crowd was crazy by the time We Are The In Crowd came on. But they did well and everyone was jumping and going crazy. I could tell that people were slammed together and uncomfortable.

I was excited for The Cab. I had looked up their entire story and I was so excited to see them performing on stage. And after the first new song I was obsessed. I couldn't stop grinning and I was excited to purchase their new CD in a few days. Mayday Parade got the crowd excited and I even I couldn't help from dancing along to a few of their songs. The crowd went insane for All Time Low. Even at the side stage I was dancing to their songs and just having a party all by myself.

After the show the techies and I started packing while the guys showered and went to see all the fans that stayed after. I made a mental note to tell the guys that this show had been my favorite so far. The rest of the tech crew was in a good mood so they didn't bug me nearly as much. We were finally getting along. Well, better than when we started. We finished packing early so I climbed in the tour bus and started playing some Mario Kart while I waited for the guys. They came in, loudly, and I couldn't help but grin at them.

"That was an amazing show, you guys." I got up and gave them all hugs.

"Love Denver shows." Rian said. "Even if I had to shit the entire time."

I laughed and looked at Jack. It seemed his mood had lightened some. "It was pretty intense. So many bras on the mic." He grinned.

"I cannot believe you rubbed your face in those. That is sick." I said.

He faked being offended. "They were full of sex. It needed to be done. And I was hoping someone else would throw theirs on and we'd actually see some boob action."

I rolled my eyes at him. "You're so weird." I smiled.

"That's why you love me. Now, I'm off to bed because you guys suck." He grinned before sprinting off toward his bunk.

"He seems to be in better spirits." Alex whispered taking my hand.

"No doubt." I grinned as we took seats on the couch.

I leaned on his shoulder. Boy, was I tired. It was an exhausting day. His arm reached around finding my waist and I scooted a little closer. He kissed the top of my head and I smiled. He got to see my favorite places and played an insane show. And we had small make out session. It was definitely a good day.
