Silver Ring

Everything started with a ring…just a silver ring led me here. I am Silver and this is a small part of my life that I’ll never forget.

“Silver!” He called loud enough for me to hear as I was about to take a step closer to the house.

“What?” I asked. I was so angry with him.

“Just close your eyes for a minute, please!” He said and I was wondering what was wrong with him. Just one hour ago I was crying because of what had happened.

‘’What do you want Kyle?’’ I asked feeling angry more with myself than him. He came behind me and his arms where around my waist. I could feel him breathing on my neck and I wasn’t able to resist him. I loved him so much…Oh God…

And then he whispered, ‘’for just a minute, please, close your eyes…’’ I wanted to get away from his strong arms and forget everything about him but I just wasn’t able to do it. So I did as I was told and closed my eyes. He turned me around caressing my cheek.

His hand was so soft against my skin sending waves all over my body. My heart was beating so loudly I thought it would burst out of my chest, I even thought he might have been able to hear it and a blush made its way to my face. He put something in my hand and before he left it there, he whispered in my ear once again saying, ‘’Now open them!’’

I looked down at the object in the middle of my palm. I stared down and looked at it oddly. It was a small box of rose wood with my name on it. I opened it up slowly suspicious of what the box contained till I saw that it was a ring.

My mouth dropped and my eyes widened at the sight of the silver ring with a diamond in my hands. I had no idea what to make of the ring before me as I stared at it. My mind was completely blank. I had no idea what to think and I didn’t even realize that I was suddenly on my knees on the grass with Kyle. His hands were around my waist again as he lifted my chin up and made me look up at him instead of the ring.

“Surprised you, didn’t I?” He grinned softly with a gentle expression that I never expected his face capable of making.
