Understanding What We Have Grown to Be
Chapter 2
I just gotten home and Lou decided to come over to my house and we could help each other with homework since he lived right next door to me and we would just go to practice from my house. We went up upstairs to my room passing my mom in the kitchen and said a quick hello and how are you and we were on our way. As soon as we got my room I shut the door behind and saw Lou threw his backpack on the floor and grab his ipod out of his pocket and start on his math homework and I just sit on my bed thinking about what Kyle said to me earlier and thought if I did the right thing or not.
"Are you okay?" Lou asked concerned.
"yeah I'm fine"
"No your not!" he continued "What happened today?"
"Okay you can't tell Josh or he is gunna have hissy fit!"
"Okay I won't tell me!"
"Well on our way home from school when Kyle and I were by ourselves he said he liked me a lot"
"Okay? Is that all?"
"No I ignored him and ran up to you"
"Oh ouch!"
"I know now he's probably gunna think I'm a jerk"
"I know what will make you feel better"
Lou always knew how to cheer me up so he ran downstairs and grabbed some brownies and chocolate milk from the fridge. Of course it worked because chocolate was a girls best friend.
"Well what are you gunna do?" he asked.
"I have no idea. I can't date him because Josh will kill him and feed him to the dog I don't wanna ignore him cuz everybody in the band will probably hate me" I replied.
"Well I won't hate you"
"I know and thanks for the brownies! I'm gunna work on my homework"
"anytime!" He gave me a big hug and continued on his homework. Every once in a while I would get tired and lay my head on his lap and put the book on top of me and continued to read and he would rub my head or he would get tired and I would do the same for him. By the time five o'clock rolled around it was time for the bands practice and as much as I wanted to go I had a lot of homework and a lot of it was due the next day so I told Lou to go on without me and tell the guys I was sorry and I'll be at the next one. When Lou left my phone blew up with messages from all the bands members especially Josh 'Where are you? Are you okay?' and 'I'm coming over after practice to check on you' and one from Lou 'Everybody is freaking out cuz your not here' and some from everybody saying the same thing except I got non from Kyle which didn't surprise me from how I treated him today. When ten o'clock finally came I knew Lou would be walking through the door any minute to ask to stay over because his parents got into a bad fight again, but when the door opened I saw Josh standing there looking at me like he was lecture me but he came over and made sure I was okay,
"Why weren't you at practice?"
"Um I had a ton or homework and most it is due tomorrow and I needed to finish it" I replied.
"Okay as long as your okay" he kissed me on head and was on his way.
A few minutes later Lou came in and got bed ready on the floor after grabbing about ten blankets from the closet and we both said our good nights and don't let the bed bugs bite and feel asleep.
