Maybell is the alpha of her spirit (human shape shifters) pack. Her job is to protect her island from vampires and demons. What will she do when a group of assassins come in to claim the islands as their own? The monsters of Melancholy move in and threaten the ones she loves... but what if one of those assassins don't seem so bad? What if she begins to fall for him? Can Maybell's pack chase off the demons and vampires of Melancholy, or will they all die trying?
