Call Me Hopeless, But Not Romantic.

You are something else.

When I pulled up at her house I didn't even have to get out of the car she was already walking out books in hand. I chuckled as she hurriedly got in shivering from the cold.

"Good mornin'." I said with a grin and she rolled her eyes, "morning."

"What's tha matta?"

"I don't want to go."

"Don't."

"But they will think they won." She mumbled as she rubbed her hands together.

"Then go and pretend like nuffin happened."

She sighed as she let her head hit the seat, "it's exhausting."

"I know. If yeh need me 'gain. Call me."

"I feel bad for constantly calling you."

I chuckled, "don't, love. It's fine. Honestly, don't hesitate ta call meh. Yeh know I'll come get yeh." I said as we parked at the school.

"I know. Thanks Matty. Have a good day." She said leaning over and kissing my cheek before she hopped out of the car.

I watched her quickly walk inside and I sighed, a part of me hoped she would in fact call me. Messed up I know.

Unfortunately though she made it the whole day and I waited patiently at my car for her. She finally emerged from the crowd of people and a grin instantly hit my lips.

"Yay, yeh survived. How was yeh day?" I asked as she stepped in front of me.

A grin hit her lips, "not so bad."

"I don't wanna say it's cause of me, but it sort of is."

She laughed, "oh I see."

She smiled and I grabbed her hand, "let's go get coffee."

"Hot chocolate." She said and I laughed as I opened the passanger door for her, "right. I forget yeh a kid."

She frowned at me and I laughed, "get in love."

"So did they say anyfing ta yeh today?" I asked once we began driving.

"No. Well, Sarah informed me that my boyfriend was a jerk."

"What? Who's yeh boyfriend?" I asked quickly. I couldn't stop it from sounding the way it did.

"They think you are." She said with a grin and I managed to laugh as my heart calmed down.

I don't know why I almost had a mini heart attack...well, I guess I did.

"Oh. So I'm tha jerk?"

"Yep."

I stifled a laugh, "good. Juss what I wanna be."

"She said, what kind of guy do you date that yells at girls! I responded, the good kind. She then said that you must yell at me all the time. I said yes, he's pretty violent."

"Yeh did not..."

She laughed, "just kidding about the violent part."

I chuckled, "yeh also didn't deny that I was yeh boyfriend." I said as we arrived at the coffee shop.

"Well, I was going to but she kept going on and on and then I realized in fact her and Jacob are scared so I couldn't." She said as I held the door open for her.

"Oh is that so? Well, I guess I don't mind bein' yeh pretend boyfriend."

"Oh thanks. Now everyone is going to think I like old men." She teased as we went to the counter.

I laughed as I looked at the menu and the girl behind the counter spoke, "what would you like?"

"Two hot chocolates." I said holding out my card for her not bothering to hear the total.

I glanced over at Macy who gave me a funny look.

"What?" I asked through my laughter.

"And yet I'm the kid." She said as the girl handed me our cups.

"Yeh bring it out of meh." I said with a smile as we took a seat at a table near the window.

She gave me a grin before sipping on her hot chocolate.

"Guess I'll take yeh ta school everyday since I have a rep to keep up now."

She shrugged, "you don't have to."

"Maybe I want to."

"Do you?"

I smiled as I leaned back in my seat, "I mean, like spendin' time wif yeh. So yeah."

A blush hit her cheeks and she quickly looked out the window. A grin hit my lips as I watched her shamelessly.

"Yeh reallah prettah yeh know that?" I said before I could even stop myself.

Her blue eyes quickly moved to me and she shrugged, "Thanks."

"Yeh are."

"If that was so Mr. Nicholls, don't you think my life would be different?" She asked placing her hands on her cup.

"Yeah it would be. Yeh so prettah people are jealous of yeh and makin' up shit. I mean, yeah if yeh weren't so prettah fings would be better. But why would you try and be like them when yeh were clearly born ta stand out?"

She looked down at her cup fiddling with the lid nervously.

"I just think it would be better if I did."

"Macy, yeh won't see any of these idiots afta what? 5 months? It's not worf it."

"Yeah, you're right." She said softly, "some times I just think I've forgotten what happy feels like."

I frowned, "are yeh happy now?" I asked resting my arms on the table.

She smiled, "more than I have been that's for sure."

"Good." I said softly as I stretched my hand out and placed it on hers.

"Yeah, you're kind of fun to hang out with."

I smiled, "oh yeah?"

"Yeahhh."

"Even though I'm old?"

"I know. Shocks me too."

I chuckled and squeezed her hand before bringing it to my cup, "yeah well good because since we are taking some time off you've become the highlight of my day now."

"That's sad."

I smiled, "Yeah a high schooler makes my day. Kind of pathetic I guess."

She chuckled, "well if it makes you feel any better, you've been the highlight of my day since you saved me."

"That does make me feel betta." I said with a grin. Actually, that made me feel amazing.

She chuckled as she brushed her hair behind her ear as she looked back out the window.

"Ready to go?" I asked knowing if I didn't I'd spend all day just watching her.

She nodded and I got up from the table, holding my hand out for her. She gently grabbed it and stood up, grabbing her cup with her free hand.

I figured she would drop my hand seconds later, but instead she held on to it as she pulled me to the trash can so we could throw our cups away.

"Am I takin' yeh home?"

She shook her head no and I laughed, "where am I takin' yeh?"

"To Oli's or Tom's I guess."

"Why don't yeh wanna go home?"

She shrugged, "it's boring there. My parents are never home so yeah, kind of lonely."

"Do yeh want meh ta come sit wif yeh lil bird?" I teased and she rolled her eyes, "I actually need to do homework."

"Yeh fink I can't help wif that?" I asked as we reached my car.

"Fine Matty, if you are that pumped to help me with math homework be my guest." She said and I laughed as we got into the car.

Of course I drove us to her house. I had never been so excited to help someone with homework. Then again, I couldn't tell you the last time I was this intriqued by a girl.It even weirded me out that I wanted to spend this much time with her.

As I waited on her to unlock her door, I wrapped my arms around her waist causing her to laugh, "cold?"

"It's propa freezin' today." I said and she chuckled as she opened the door and we were hit with warm air. I honestly didn't know if that was the truth or just some excuse to touch her.

I closed the door behind us as she sat her books on the couch.

"I'm starving." She said as she walked I assume to the kitchen.

"Why didn't yeh tell meh?!" I asked following behind her.

"Um, you already bought me coffee."

"So?"

She chuckled as she pulled a bag of chips out of the cabinet, "it's ok."

I rolled my eyes, "let meh orda pizza unless yeh know how ta cook and by tha looks of it I'm gonna say no. Yeh probably malnourished!"

She laughed, "am not."

"Still orderin' pizza."

"Do you live off that?"

"Prettah much." I said patting her cheek and she narrowed her eyes at me. I chuckled and pulled my cellphone from my pocket.

"Get ta doin' yeh homework lil bird." I said with a grin as I dialed the number.

She shoved me lightly as she walked into the living room.

Once the pizza was ordered I joined her and sat across from her as she sat with her legs crossed and a book in her lap.

"I can't concentrate with you staring at me."

I laughed, "sorrah. Juss funnah watchin' yeh study."

"How so?"

"Yeh look so serious." I said mimicking the look on her face and she rolled her eyes, "do not."

"Do so." I responded with a grin and she threw her pen at me.

"Oye! That isn't nice lil bird. Now how yeh gonna write?" I said sliding her pen behind my ear.

"You're going to give me my pen back."

"Ha! Yeh fink so love?" I asked crossing my arms.

She nodded as she sat her book down and got up causing me to laugh as she made her way over to me.

"Then I'll take it."

"Reallah? Mhm. Try it." I said with a smile and she crossed her arms. I reached out and grabbed her side causing her to squeal.

I couldn't help but start laughing and she glared at me.

"Ticklish?"

"I hate you."

"No yeh don't."

"I'm about to."

I chuckled and held out her pen for her, "here love."

She rolled her eyes and reached for it as I pulled back.

"Matty!"

"Yes?" I teased and she stomped back to where she was sitting.

"Yeh cute yeh know that?"

She rolled her eyes and went back to her book. I chuckled and got up moving next to her.

"Here yeh go. Juss teasin' yeh." I said placing the pen in her hand.

I kissed her cheek and she didn't look up from her book.

"Macyyyy. Don't be mad at meh." I said wrapping my arms around her.

She chuckled, "I'm not."

"Betta not be."

She kissed my cheek and I stared at her as she gave me a grin. I couldn't help but bring my hand to her cheek.

"Yeh somefin else yeh know?" I said softly, my fingers tracing her soft skin. Before she could speak the doorbell rang and I quickly removed my hand and went to the door.

I don't know what was taking over me, but this wasn't me at all, yet I couldn't seem to stop.
