Who would be a mermaid fair,
singing alone, combing her hair,
Under the sea, in a golden curl,
with a comb of pearl,
On a throne?

Caja is obsessed with the sea, it's wild personality and ferocious beauty. She wants nothing more to be able to live in the endless water; to be able to submerge into it's great depths never to return.
Perhaps there is some truth in the phrase 'be careful what you wish for'.
