Field of Shadows

"Finally home." I said, getting out if my car.

Matt came home with me after we dropped Mikaela off.

He got out of the car too.

"Your home is really nice." He said.

"Thank you." I said, smiling at him.

A light is on, so the neighbor must be here still.

Matt was a total gentlemen and got my bags for me.

I unlocked the door and the dogs started barking.

"Hello?" I called out.

My neighbor, Larry came around the corner.

"Hi Anna." He said, smiling at me.

"Hello Larry. How were the dogs? Not to much trouble?" I teased.

"Nope. They were perfectly fine."

"Good." I said.

I looked at Matt.

"Oh how rude of me." I said. "Matt this is my neighbor Larry. Larry this is my boyfriend Matt."

"Hey." Larry said.

Matt just nodded.

"Well, I'll leave you two alone." Larry said, going to the door.

"Bye Larry. Thank you so much for helping me out."

Larry left and shut the door behind him.

"Matt, what time is it?" I asked.

"Umm, it's exactly 6." He said.

"I don't know about you, but I'm pretty hungry." I said, laughing.

"Me too." He said.

He came over and hugged me, resting his head on mine.

"I can make us dinner." I said.

"Are you sure?" Matt asked. "We can order a pizza."

"I don't mind cooking." I said.

"Well okay." He said.

"Lets go into the kitchen and see what I can make."

He nodded and we went into the kitchen.

The dogs really surprised me.

Usually, they'd be barking and barking.

But they weren't.

"What's wrong?" Matt asked.

"The dogs aren't barking. Usually they'd be going crazy." I said.

"Hmm." Was all Matt said.

"I can make spaghetti?" I suggested.

"Yes!" He said, like a little kid.

I laughed and got all the ingredients.

"Spaghetti is my favorite food." Matt said.

"No way." I said. "It's my favorite food too."

I starting cooking dinner and Matt was just looking at me the whole time.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing." He said. "You're just so beautiful."

"Thank you Matt." I said, blushing.

I finished dinner and we sat down to eat.

"This is the best spaghetti ever!" Matt said.

"Thank you."

After eating, we both cleaned the kitchen.

When we finished, it was 8:20.

"Matt?" I called to him.

"Yeah?"

"Do you want to just spend the night?" I asked.

"Yeah babe." He called back.

"Okay."

I feed the dogs, locked the house up, and went back to the kitchen.

Matt was finishing up the last of the dishes.

"Alright. You can sleep in my bed if you want?" I asked.

"I can sleep on the couch." Matt said and laughed.

"Matt. Seriously?" I asked. "We've already had sex and you honestly think I'll let you sleep on the couch. That's a joke."

He laughed and can over to me.

"Okay. I'm beat, I don't know about you."

"I'm exhausted." I said, hugging him. "Let's go up to my room and get ready for bed then."

Matt nodded and I checked the dogs one last time and turned of all the lights.

Matt and I went upstairs.

We went to my room.

"Wow. Your room is really nice." He said.

"Thank you." I said.

I went to the bathroom and got ready for bed.

Once finished, Matt went in there and I turned down the bed.

Matt came back out and I couldn't help but stare at him.

He just had his boxers off.

"So something you like?" He asked.

"Everything." I said, winking.

He laughed and we got into bed.

"Here." I said, handing him the T.V. remote.

We watched a movie that was on HBO.

My eyes soon became heavy and I fell asleep.
