Christmas
-Jen's POV-
It was Christmas morning and I wasn't surprised when Hannah and Tyler ran down the stairs at five in the morning to open presents. I did the same thing when I was their age.
I had spent Christmas Eve with the members of Avenged Sevenfold. They always had an annual Christmas party and we all exchanged gifts. From Zacky I got an ipod that was pre-loaded with everything that I had on my cd's. From Jimmy I got a Louis Vuitton purse. I had been eyeballing it for a while. Brian must have told him that I wanted it. Matt got me a brand new laptop and Johnny got me a gift certificate to the spa.
Brian had spent the night and when we heard the kids run downstairs we got out of bed and followed them. They had huge smiles on their faces and like every year we made piles. One by one we took turns opening presents. I was surprised to even have a pile but was told I had to wait before I could open them. That was fine with me. Brian and I had gone a little crazy buying presents for the twins anyway.
"Open this Jen." Tyler said as he ran over. He picked a present up from my pile and handed it to me.
"This is from you?" I asked as I glanced at the name tag. He nodded with a huge smile on his face. I tore off the paper and my jaw dropped over. "Ty.. you didn't have to get me anything." I said as I pulled him in for a hug. "Thank you."
"You're welcome."
He insisted that I wear some of the perfume so we opened the box and I let him spray me once. It smelled so good. Hannah ran over next and picked up another present from my pile. She held it out to me and I smiled as I took it. Again I tore off the paper and noticed a black velvet box. I opened it and gasped at what I saw inside. It was a gold necklace with a Minnie Mouse bow pendant. I knew this wasn't cheap and I couldn't help but wonder how they could afford these gifts or when they had gone to the mall to get them.
I hugged them both tightly and thanked them for the gifts. It brought tears to my eyes that they thought to get me anything because I never expected them to.
I put the necklace on while the twins finished opening their presents. I looked over at Brian and noticed he hadn't opened anything yet.
"Aren't you going to open anything?"
"I will." He smiled kissing my cheek. "You still have a pile to open too little lady."
"I know." I smiled and reached down for a present. "This is from you." It was a pretty big box and I had no idea what it could be as I tore off the paper.
"Holy shit." I mumbled as I looked inside the box. "Louis Vuitton luggage?"
Brian licked his lips and smiled. "I couldn't help but notice you stare at it every time we walked passed the store plus your luggage is shit. Merry Christmas baby."
"Thank you Bri. Open one."
I watched as he reached down and grabbed one of the presents from his pile. Hannah and Tyler wanted to get him something so I had taken them shopping. They told me they didn't have any money so I paid for them.
"Oh wow. Thanks guys." Brian said giving the twins a hug. It was a bottle of his favorite cologne.
We continued to open presents until we were both down to two. I insisted that Brian go first. He grabbed one of the boxes and tore off the paper. His eyes widened as he stared down at the Gold Pocket Watch.
"This was my Dad's. He had a whole collection of pocket watches. So many that Hannah, Tyler, and I each have five of them. I want you to have this one. Dad always gave one to people he thought were deserving and I think he would want you to have this."
Brian kissed me deeply. "Thank you baby. I promise I'll take good care of it."
"I know you will."
"Alright. Open this one next." He said handing me a small box.
I tore the paper off to reveal another black velvet box. This one smaller than the one I received from Hannah. Opening it I gasped and looked up at Brian with tears in my eyes.
He smiled as he took the ring from the box and slipped it onto my right middle finger. Only then did I notice an identical ring on his hand.
"This is a promise ring. A promise that I will love you and be there for you through anything."
"It's beautiful." I whispered staring down at our hands.
"Not nearly as beautiful as you."
I smiled and kissed him deeply. We still had one present each to open and I prayed he'd like the one I got him.
Brian opened the large box and chuckled softly as he took his custom made floor mats out of the box. I had got in touch with a company that would put any logo on anything you wanted so I had them put a Deathbat onto 4 cloth floor mats with the word Syn underneath.
He loved them.
"Thank you babe. These are awesome."
"You're welcome."
"Alright, one left." He said handing it to me.
Tearing off the paper I noticed it was a CD. A burned CD at that.
"Put it and let's listen to it."
"Okay." Getting up from the couch I walked over to the stereo and put the cd in. Grabbing the remote I sat back down next to Brian and pressed play.
My jaw dropped at the sounds coming from my speakers. It was me!
"It's why Jimmy stayed behind that day at the studio. To put your songs on a CD for you. Merry Christmas baby."
I couldn't even speak I was so shocked. We continued to listen and I noticed a song I had never heard come on.
"What's this?" I asked.
"Just wait."
I nodded and a few seconds later I heard my voice again. "What the.."
"The first three were just you on piano. Demo's so to speak. These tracks are album versions. We played on them and mixed the for you."
Tears fell from my eyes as I looked over at this wonderful man. He smiled and wiped my tears away.
"Don't cry baby."
"I can't help it."
I couldn't get over how good my songs sounded but there was still more to come. After Lost In Paradise ended another song came on and it wasn't mine. It was Brian's. He had not only put his Demo of So Far Away on the disk for me but also an album version that the guys had just recently completed.
This had to be the best Christmas I ever had.
Brian had left to spend time with his family and I was in the kitchen making food. Tyler and Hannah were in the living room playing with all of their new toys. I hadn't told them they were leaving yet. I honestly didn't know how and I was not about to do it on Christmas.
I had already gotten dressed as well as the kids. I made sure to wear the perfume I got from Tyler, the Minnie Mouse necklace I got from Hannah, and the promise ring from Brian. It was something I was never going to take off. He was my angel and I didn't know how I'd be able to survive without him.
The ham was in the oven and a lot of the sides were either finished or just about finished when the front door opened and Brian walked in.
"Hey babe, can you come here for a second?"
I set down my spoon and wiped my hands off on a towel before making my way towards the front door. I noticed someone standing behind him and stopped dead in my tracks.
"What's going on?" I asked as Brian took my hand in his.
"I have one last surprise for you."
The man's back was to me so I couldn't see his face until he turned around. My jaw dropped once I realized who was standing in my doorway.
"Jenna baby.. I'd like you to meet Johnny Depp. You're father."
