When Toya's brother died the relationship she had with her mother did too. Her brother Jamal was there only hope of getting out of the hood. Jamal had skills on the court like no other, after he finished his first year in college he was going straight to the NBA. Well, he was until he got mixed up with a group of older hustlers , that led to his demise. And now Toya's mom blames her.
