Chapter 11
X Mesly’s p.o.v. X
“Andy! How much more paint are you going to put on me?!” I screamed
He chuckled and applied a little more on me and I ran off, but then he came after me and tackled me onto the couch.
“Get a bunk!” Jake said
Andy pulled up his middle finger and showed it off, proud, to Jake.
Jake rolled his eyes and exited the bus laughing.
Then from the corner of my eye I saw Matt glaring at me, so I quickly shoved Andy off of me and I sat up straight.
Andy’s face scrunched up together, and then looked at Matt and then at me, but then he shrugged off whatever thought he just had and walked away.
‘No! Turn around and look at him!’ I wanted to scream at Andy
Matt gave me a look and then pointed in Andy’s direction.
I then got up and ran over to Andy, and then bumped into somebody.
“I’m so sorry, I wasn’t looking and-“ I said
“Don’t worry about it Mes, I’m okay.” Nick said
I tried to smile at him, but I failed completely since I was still scared of what Matt would do.
Nick studied my face and I looked away so he would see that I was panicking.
“Um… are you alright there Mesly… you seem kind of jittery.” He said
“Me… jittery, pssh no, why would you say that?” I asked
“Are you on drugs or something?” He asked
I laughed, a little too loudly.
“Noooo.” I said
It looked like Nick let it slide, and then he grabbed my shoulder and squeezed it before he left.
God, I would have to lie better than that if I wanted to survive through Matt’s clutches.
By the time I finally made it over to Andy’s bunk, he was already gone, along with everyone else on the bus except for Matt.
He swiftly walked over to the door and locked it before turning around and glaring at me.
My heart started pounding faster and I stayed where I was, with fear to move.
I gulped.
“I thought I made it very clear to you last night that I didn’t want you to be around Andy, but apparently I didn’t make it clear enough.” Matt said
He moved forward as I took a few steps back.
“Please, don’t I didn’t mean to, please!” I begged
“Why are you running away from me, I thought you liked it last night.” He said
“No please don’t hurt me.” I said
I tripped over something and sprawled onto the floor, and Matt climbed over me and kissed me while I kicked and screamed.
Then there was a knock on the door and Matt put his hand over my mouth and cursed.
“Get up and go sit by the couch, and pretend you were reading a magazine.” He commanded
Matt then walked over to the door while I scrambled up and walked over to the couch and struggled with looking for a magazine.
“Hey Matt, what’s up buddy?” Andy asked
Help me Andy!
“Oh nothing just relaxing here with Mesly, you?” Matt answered innocently
“Cool, would you mind if I stole her for a minute do you?” Andy asked
“No, not at all.” He said
I got up and all but ran to Andy, when Matt grabbed my arm and gave me a look that said, “watch yourself”.
Andy wasn’t paying attention because he was texting.
When he looked up Matt let go.
I walked off the bus and followed Andy.
“So what were you and Matt doing back there?” Andy asked
He was about to freaking rape me, again!
“Nothing, just… hanging out.” I lied
“Interesting… listen I been thinking… well you made it very clear that you didn’t want to be dating me … right?” He asked
I nodded.
“That’s correct…” I said
“So is it okay if maybe we started seeing other people?” Andy asked
“Yeah… but what are you trying to tell me?” I asked
“The other night, while you were with Jinxx I uh-“ Andy said
“Hey Andy, I need you and the rest of the band members out in the studio pronto!” John (Andy’s manager) said
“Okay, I’ll get them right away.” Andy said
Then he turned to me.
“Mesly we will talk about this later I promise.” Andy said
“It’s okay your band thing is more important, go.” I encouraged
“Are you sure?” Andy asked
“Yeah, totally… I guess I’ll see you tonight then at your show.” I said
“I’ll look around for you then.” Andy said
He gave me a hug and then ran off after John.
My heart immediately ached as soon as he ran off.
I knew that his band thing was more important right now, and I wasn’t jealous or anything, it just I missed him, but I knew that I couldn’t be around him because of Matt.
All I wanted to do was go scream at the top of my lungs and maybe hit something, and then hopefully things would go back to normal, but I knew that, that wasn’t going to happen anytime soon.
“Mesly!” Someone shouted
I turned my head and snapped at whoever it was.
“What?!” I asked
Then I saw that it was Nick, a very hurt Nick.
“Oh, Nick I’m sorry I didn’t mean to snap at you it’s just-“ I said
“You’re having a cruddy day, it’s okay I understand that. Um I spotted a mall about a few minutes back and I was wondering if you would like to join me and the rest of the guys?” He asked
“Sure… who’s all going?” I asked
“Me, Johnny, Craig, Aaron, Michael, and Donnie… I think?” He said
“Yeah, I’d love to go.” I said
He smiled and wrapped his arm around me as we made our way back to the bus to meet up with the other guys before we all walked back out and piled into the rental car.
“Hey, I don’t think I’ve ever talked to you before, my name is Michael, what’s yours?” Michael asked
“Mesly, it’s nice to meet you.” I said
“No, the pleasure is all mine.” He said
“So um, what band are you in?” I asked
“The best one, Vampires Everywhere.” Michael said
“No way D.R.U.G.S. is way better! I’m Craig by the way!” Craig said
I smiled.
“Hello Craig.” I said
“Our band is the best of course, we scare people.” Johnny said
“Dream on dude, we totally kiss your as-“ Donnie said
“Guys!” I said
They all stopped arguing and looked at me, which then made my blush.
“I’m sorry to say that I’ve never heard of you guys… like ever, but tonight I will have the opportunity to see you all perform, so I will decide tonight who’s the best… okay?” I asked
“Deal!”
“Done!”
“Alright!”
“Whoo!”
“Yeah!”
Those were all their responses.
“Good, now that we are all on the same page… Nick would you mind turning up the radio?” I asked
“No problem cousin.” Nick said
“Cousin?!” They all asked
We looked at each other and laughed.
“Yeah, it’s the truth, Nick is my long lost cousin.” I said
“Really? No wonder you guys sort of looked alike… it was starting to freak me out,” Aaron said
I laughed.
“Wow, thanks I guess.” I said
“Take is as a compliment Nick is very sexy, I’ll admit.” Michael said
“Ooo do I hear a bromance coming on?” Craig said
“Oh hell no!” Nick and Michael said at the same time
They looked at each other and then Nick shuddered while Michael gave him a evil grin and “blew a kiss” at him, then winked.
“Hey babe, call me.” Michael said in his “gay” voice
“Okay… enough homo stuff for right now please.” I said
Everyone started laughing.
“I’m just messing with you bro, I’m totally straight,” Michael said
“I hope so, dude I like girls.” Nick quickly responded
“Yes, we all know that.” Johnny said
Nick flipped him off.
“Alright darlings we are here!” Nick said
All the guys groaned.
“Can we please lay off on the gay-ness? People are going to look at us weird.” Craig said
“Dude, have you seen the way we dress? Of course they are going to stare.” Michael said
Everyone turned to me and I shrugged.
“I don’t know I thought that you guys acting gay was pretty funny.” I said
“I’ve got a great idea!” Aaron said
“What?” I asked
“Why don’t two of us, not you Mesly sorry, pretend to be gay and start a rumor? Let’s see how fast it will hit the media!” He said
Michael, Nick, and Craig all looked at each other.
“I’d rather there be rumors spread about me and a girl.” Nick said
“Fine then, Michael and Craig you guys be the couple.” Aaron said
They looked at each other and smiled.
“Okay, but dude I’m not kissing you!” Craig said
“Awesome!” Aaron said
All the guys and me gave each other high fives before we watched Craig and Michael link arms as we all stepped into the mall.
“Oh darling would you like me to get the door for you?” Craig said in a British accent
“No my love, I’ll get it.” Michael said
“Whoa… let’s see how long they actually last.” Johnny said
I laughed.
“Who knows.” I said
“I want to make a bet, I say that Michael is going to break it off first.” Johnny said
“No way Craig is.” Nick said
“Five bucks?” Johnny asked
“You’re on.” Nick said
They shook hands and then we finally made our way to the entrance of the mall.
“Maybe-“Aaron said
“No, no more talk of this, let’s get inside the mall or I’m going to scream.” I said
“Touchy.” Nick said
I gave him a f- u smile and then we all made it in.
“Okay what store first?” I asked
“Duh, the only store we ever visit!” Johnny said
“Hot Topic?” I asked
“Yes!” They all said
“Alright then Hot Topic it is.” I said
We all walked to Hot Topic and all the guys bought some things, but since I didn’t really get anything Nick forced me to buy one thing or he said that I wasn’t allowed to leave the store, so I just bought some more makeup and a few band tees.
As soon as we left the register we heard some girl scream.
“Oh my God, it’s Craig!” She said
Suddenly a few heads turned and realized their favorite bands were standing right in front of them and a huge crowd surrounded them, asking for pictures and autographs.
They all seemed pretty happy and shocked at the same time, while I felt claustrophobic.
I pushed my way out of the crowd and made my way toward some benches in the corner.
A girl, around my age came up to me.
“Are you Mesly?” She asked
“Um… yeah…” I said
“Mesly it’s me Noelle.” Noelle said
