Chapter Four

John’s POV

Wow I don’t think I’ve ever been this mean to anyone before, Emily Lovisa is bringing out the worst in me! She’s ruining my life well her mother and my mother are. However when mom said she would find me a nice young girl to marry I thought she was joking well apparently not! Emily is beautiful but probably vain just like Carrie, John though bitterly as he drove to Kennedy’s house. Carrie-Anne Lynn was his last girlfriend she was tall, straight blonde hair with beautiful blue eyes and they had been together for about 2 and a half years but then she left him for someone else and when that guy didn’t want her anymore she thought she could have John back and John like a fool kept taking her back. Emily was the opposite of Carrie, she was beautiful still but he was more into blondes and Emily had black Curly hair and olive skin not that there was anything wrong with that it was really attractive just not his taste. He thought as he entered Kenny’s house,
“John’s here!” he heard Pat yell and John laughed,
“Late as per usual” Garrett said raising an eye brow.
“Guys I had a valid reason this time” John said and all his friends scoffed.
“That reason would be?” Tim asked he was their manager,
“I met my fiancé today...” John said and all his band mates looked at him wide eyed,
“You did what john?” Jared asked moving his ginger hair away from his eyes.
“Yea I don’t think I heard properly” Pat said and they all nodded,
“Fiancé the girl I’m engaged to...” John said casually like it was the most normal thing in the world.
“Since when are you engaged!!??” they all yelled
“Today okay I met Emily today!” John said dryly,
“Who the hell is Emily and why haven’t we heard of this! Oh Geez John is she pregnant!?” Tim exclaimed,
“NO! My mum arranged for me to marry Emily! I met her today” John said loudly and they all looked shocked, silence settled in.
“Is she pretty?” Garrett asked,
“Yea... I suppose she’s Spanish but not really my type” John shrugged.
“Ouu Spanish is she, nice” Kenny said flirtatiously.
“I want to meet her!” Pat whined like a little boy,
“You guys will soon enough” John mumbled,
“Bring her to my house tomorrow! Austin is coming as well!” Jared exclaimed and John’s stomach sank he didn’t want Emily anywhere near his friends.
“PLEAASSEE” they all begged,
“Fine if I have to...” he sighed
“Can we practice now?” he asked sarcastically wanting to erase of the encounter from earlier, he liked the way Emily’s dark brown eyes sparked as she got angry or how she would bite her lip when she didn’t want to say something. John shook his head why would I want to think this way for my fiancée ugh I must be sick.

Emily couldn’t stop staring at the rock on her wedding finger; there goes all my dream of romance she thought sadly. Her mother had had the ‘It will all be alright’ talk ‘just give him some time’. While the rest of the time Melissa talked about how lucky Em was to have a handsome, rich, famous fiancé. All Emily could think of was you want him take him! She had spent the rest of the night with John’s brothers and immediately fell in love with Shane and Ross they were awesome siblings. Now Emily was physically and emotionally tired, and she just wanted to crawl in bed. John was handsome alright and he probably made every girl’s heart flutter by his crooked smile, ugh there’s more to a person than the physic. Emily grabbed her phone and dialled the all too familiar number,
“Emilie finally you call me!” Talia’s voice broke through.
“Hey Tay, sorry it’s been a hectic day...” Emily coughed slightly at the understatement.
“So... How’s Mr. Cornelius?” she asked,
“His last name isn’t Cor- Conichua!” Emily said quickly she was about to tell Talia about John’s real identity when the man himself walked in. John gave her the weirdest look as he walked past her and into the wardrobe.
“He’s there isn’t he?” Talia laughed,
“Yes, I do like that dress” Emily said to make it appear she wasn’t talking about him.
“Is he hot?”
“You could say that how about coffee?” Emily kept the really random topics.
“You’re trying to make it appear as though you’re not talking about him are you”
“Indeed, deep fried chicken and coleslaw is awesome!”
“What the heck, really Millie chicken and Coleslaw?” Tay asked laughing so hard she could hardly speak.
“Tay I have to go, I love you and I promise everything will make sense tomorrow” Emily sighed as John walked out; she grabbed a change of clothes and rushed into the shower. She had a t-shirt and long pants, she brushed her curly hair and brushed her teeth and got out John was already on the bed. She cleared her throat and he looked at her bored,
“Do you need an invitation?” John said and Emily flushed, swallowing her pride she walked towards the bed slipped under the covers. She had never felt more aware of a man’s presence even if she’s only ever had one boyfriend; she had never ever slept with anyone and needless to say John’s presence was unnerving.
“So...” John said,
“Are you really trying to initiate conversation?” Emily asked in disbelief.
“No, I just wanted to say that you’re meeting my friends tomorrow whether you like it or not” John said,
“Oh and according to my mother we apparently have to look like a couple so the media doesn’t get a whiff of the fact that we hate each other” He added.
“Anything else sweetheart” Emily said sweetly but her voice dripped in sarcasm, John laughed loudly.
“Not at all baby” he replied near her ear and she jumped up,
“Okay ground rules come near me and I will sever your manhood, yes I will act like your doting fiancé but behind closed doors it’s not happening and we can drop the act okay O’Callaghan?” Emily said her voice stern.
“Whatever you say Lovisa” John smirked and looked incredibly handsome, shut up Em! She chided herself.
“Goodnight O’Callaghan” Emily said lying back down on the bed and felt John lie down a big gap between them.
“Goodnight Lovisa” John chuckled.
