Cover Girl
Texts
“Kendall, are you even listening?”
“Huh?” I looked up at an annoyed looking Carlos and smiled innocently.
We were getting together to plan some songs; we had another day off.
“Dude where is your head at?” James laughed.
“Sorry I was just-“ before I could finish my phone beeped signaling a text message.
Nothing much just relaxing, what are you up to? I smiled at Dallas’ text and returned it immediately.
Chilling with the guys, planning songs. :)
“Dude!” Carlos shouted and I looked up with a confused expression.
“Huh?”
“What are you doing?” James asked again, joking tone now gone.
“He’s talking to a girl,” Logan smirked.
“How do you know?” Carlos asked.
“I think I know the look a guy gets when he’s flirting with a girl,” he answered.
“She’s just an old friend,” I mumbled.
Sounds cool lol, I wish I had enough talent to be a star :/
I frowned at the text. This Dallas was defiantly different from my best friend.
“Ohhh,” all the guys teased.
You have talent; brains :) You were always the smartest person I knew.
“Okay what did you guys want now?” I looked up at them confused.
“We want you to actually pay attention,” Carlos sighed.
“Sorry guys it’s just-“ my phone buzzed cutting me off.
Hey, I gotta go, I’ll text you later bye!
I frowned.
“Oh, someone got turned down.” Logan teased.
James slapped him in the back of the head and he muttered “ow” before rubbing it.
“She must’ve had something urgent come up,” I said more to myself then anyone.
“Yeah probably, can we get back to work now?” Carlos sighed.
“Yes mother! We can,” I smirked and he rolled his eyes.
We went back to discussing songs and I pushed the uneasy feeling aside for the moment. Dallas had changed a lot…
