I'll Always Be With You.

Once the police had finished asking me questions and the doctor had discharged me, I was out of that hospital in a blink.

“Whoa! Slow down.” Gerard said, chuckling slightly.

“Sorry, I just hate hospitals but I’m pretty sure you know that.”

“Yeah I do actually.”

“Hurry up!” I yelled out to the 4 who were taking the time, Mikey had the keys.

“So if you are all in a band and Frank doesn’t sing…Will you sing for me please?” I begged.

If they were in a band and had this hot guy as there singer, I’m pretty sure they were fucking awesome.

“When we get home, I promise.” He reasoned with a reassuring smile.

The words ‘I promise’ rang through my head, I felt as if I had heard those words like they had been said to me before. When I suddenly saw a picture of a beach flash into my head.

“You alright?” Gerard asked I blanked out.

“Yeah, fine.” I reassured.

“Okay, you know if you need to talk I’m here.” He replied with a smile.

“I know.”

Once we reached ‘the way’s house’ as Gerard put it we all hopped out and walked into the house.

“We’re back!” Mikey called out, everyone slipping past me, whilst I stood in the doorway blocking everyone’s way.

“You can go in you know?” Gerard spoke up.

“Oh yeah, sorry!” I apologized, waiting for him to step into the house, I then followed him into the kitchen where everyone was eating brunch since it was now 1 in the afternoon.

“Hey guys.” Gerard greeted walking into the kitchen.

“Your back! How is she?” A familiar voice asked.

“She’s here.”

“Where?”

Gerard peeked around the corner to see me standing there not sure of what to do.

“Come on, everyone has been waiting to see you.” He said lending me his hand. I looked at it for a few seconds before I took it and followed him back into the kitchen.

I slightly looked up at everyone not sure of what to say, they all looked shocked. I don’t know if it was because of the stupid bandage that made me look like a fucktard or if it was because they weren’t expecting to see me home so soon.

After greeting everyone, I decided to rest for a little while since everyone was still a bit gob smacked.

“Did you want to sleep in my room or Mikey’s?” Gerard asked.

I didn’t know where Gerard’s room was so I chose his.

“Sorry about the mess.” He chuckled slightly.

“It’s fine.”

I wasn’t expecting someone like him too be Mr. Tidy anyway.

“Okay, so the bed’s there and bathroom through that door.” He pointed to each one.

“Okay, thanks.” I replied, sitting down on the bed. as he was about to walk off.

“Ummm, Gerard?”

“Yeah.”

“Ummm, could you stay with me…?” I asked “just till I fall asleep?” I quickly added.

“Sure.” He smiled walking back into the room and over too the bed.

I don’t know why, but I just felt safer with him near me then away from me.

I lay down in the bed, as he crawled in next to me his back leaning against the wall.

“Gerard?”

“Yeah.” He replied looking down at me.

“Thank you.”

“No problem.”

“Oh and Gerard?”

“Yeah.”

By now I thought he would be getting annoyed with me but by the looks of it he didn’t mind at all.

“You promise me you would sing.”

“Yes I did and Gerard Way never breaks his promise.” He replied, as he lay down next to me in the bed but was on top of the covers.

“Any song you want me to sing?” He asked.

“Any, I don’t mind.” I yawned.

**GERARD’S POV**

I watched as she slept, still softly stroking her cheek.

She didn’t know that, that song was for her and always will be.

“I promise you Chantelle, one day, one day we will escape this place just you and me and we will live like a fairytale, like the ones we use to read and I swear if you’re father ever tries to lay a finger on you again I will protect you even if that means taking my life for you I will do it. I promise you. I’ll never let them hurt you.” I whispered to her as I too eventually drifted off to sleep.
