Cold As You.

But I cried, cried for you.

We were woke up by someone banging on the door a few hours later and Kennedy groggily got up from the bed and fumbled to the door.

"Where is my sister?" I heard Pat ask and I groaned into the pillow.

"She's asleep." Kennedy responded calmly.

"In here?"

"Yeah. Don't look at me like that. I'm fully dressed and so is she." Kennedy added.

"I don't want you around her none the less sleeping with her in what ever way that is."

"Pat. Chill the hell out." I said climbing from the bed.

"Maybe you should go home." He said crossing his arms and before I could speak Kennedy jumped in, "Maybe you should stop making her decisions for her. She's old enough she doesn't need your permission, Pat."

Pat glared at me and I bit my lip.

"You're going home." He said spinning around and stomping off.

"You're becoming just like dad!" I yelled after him causing him to come to a complete stop in the hall. I knew that would get to him. Our dad was always over baring and demanding.

I slammed the door shut and let out a sigh. Kennedy reached out and grabbed my hand.

"Please tell me you aren't leaving..."

I shook my head no and he pulled me to him.

"All we do now is fight." I mumbled.

"It's ok baby. Things will get better." He whispered stroking my hair and I closed my eyes.

"Maybe I should just go. I mean, there's only a few shows left."

"No. Stay. Please." He mumbled holding me to him.

"I don't want you to leave." He added and I looked up at him, "Why?"

He rolled his eyes, "Because, I don't know, we're just now getting along and I don't want it to end yet."

"Oh, is it going to?"

He chuckled, "Well knowing Pat, maybe."

I grinned before leaning up and kissing him.

"Plus, I'll kind of miss that."

I chuckled and hugged myself to him.

"Ok. I'll stay." I whispered.

"Yessss." He said spinning me around and I giggled.

"Can we go back to sleep?" I asked and he nodded with a grin before carrying me to the bed.

As soon as he laid me on the bed someone began banging on the door and he groaned, "I swear if that's Pat." He grumbled hopping off and opening the door yet again. I got up as well just in case it was.

"Here's your bag. There is a ticket waiting for you at the airport." Pat said in a somber tone as he dropped them at Kennedy's feet.

"She's not leaving." He said seriously.

"Yes she is."

"No I'm not Pat. I'm not 15 you can't tell me what to do anymore!" I said raising my voice.

"Fine. Stay. How are you going to get to our shows?"

"Stop acting like a fucking child, Pat. She's staying. You're not the only member in this band and we say she stays." Kennedy said seriously, "You're such a hypocrite! You're dating her best friend, but you freak when she even looks at me! Do you not realize if she told Kara no you wouldn't even be talking to her?! Get a fucking grip and grow up. Do you like hurting your sister?! why can't she just be happy?" Kennedy asked and Pat just stared at him causing Kennedy to sigh, "Thanks for dropping her bags off. Now go cancel that ticket because she's not going anywhere." He said slamming the door in Pat's face.

I bit my lip as he looked over at me, "You're not going anywhere."

I nodded and he wrapped his arms around me.

"Now. Lets go back to sleep, if anyone knocks on the door again I'm not answering it."

"Ok."

He pulled me down ono the bed kissing me sweetly.

"Everything will be ok. I refuse to let him treat you like that anymore. It pisses me off." He grumbled, "I might punch him if it happens again."

"Kennedy..."

"What? Brother or not, no one is going to treat you like that."

I couldn't help but grin and he gave me a look, "Why are you smiling?"

"Because, I don't know, you're cute."

"I'm cute?"

"Yes. Super cute."

He chuckled and kissed me softly, "Not as cute as you."

"Cuter."

"Ha!"

He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me to him, "This is going to work Cassie. There is nothing else I want more."

At that there was another knock on the door and Kennedy groaned, "Why!?"

I couldn't help but laugh as he stomped to the door.

"What?!"

"Dude, Pat is so mad at me." I heard John say and Kennedy sighed, "Why?"

"Because I gave her that key." He responded walking further into the room.

"Honestly, Cass, I love you, but maybe you should go home early. I don't want him to have a shitty show every night. For our sake."

Kennedy groaned, "No. She's not leaving."

"Dude, I get that you like her or whatever, but it's only a few weeks, she lives down the road from you."

He gave John a look and I sighed, "He's right. I need to just go."

"Whatever." Kennedy grumbled.

"Kennedy, come on man. You two aren't even together. Relax." John said patting his shoulder.

Kennedy shrugged his shoulder before grabbing his phone from the bed, "I'm going to go get my bag." He mumbled before leaving John and I alone.

I sighed and moved my eyes to John.

"Wait. Has he actually admitted to liking you?"

I nodded and he groaned, "This Keeps getting better and better."

"He'll be fine."

"He just hate how Pat talks to you."

"Yeah, I know."

"I'm going to try and talk to Pat."

"Yeah, let me go find my boy." I said as we both walked out of the room.

"Awe, he's your boy now?" He teased and I shoved him before we went seperate ways.

"Kennedy Brock." I called out as I noticed him leaned against the van staring off into space.

He quickly looked at me and I gave him a grin as I walked to him. Before he could speak I swiftly wrapped my arms around him and pulled him to me.

"What is it babe?" He asked softly as my head hit his chest.

"Don't be mad." I whispered into his shirt.

"I'm not. I know you don't like fighting with him, I just, you know, it sucks." He mumbled wrapping his arms around me.

"I'll see you soon. It's not that long. I mean, when is it over?"

"The week of Christmas." He mumbled.

"Well, you'll be home just in time."

He sighed and held me to him which I didn't mind because it was freezing.

"Yeah, and when I get home I want uniterrupted alone time with you."

I chuckled, "I'm sure we can make that happen."

"Doubtful."

I looked up at him and he spoke, "So, are you staying for the show tonight?"

I nodded and he pressed his lips to my forehead, "Good."

"Let's go in. It's freezing."

He nodded and pressed his forehead to mine, "I wanna kiss you first." He whispered and I laughed softly before he did just that.

"Perfect. Now lets get inside before you get a cold." He said grabbing my hand and we sprinted back into the warm hotel.

"Noooo. Don't leaveeee." Garrett said snatching me up as we reached the floor to our room. John must have told him.

"Please no." He mumbled holding me tightly.

"Already tried that." Kennedy stated as he unlocked the door to our room.

"But I'm Garrett. It means more."

I giggled and Kennedy rolled his eyes.

"I can't Gar. I want to but I can't."

He sighed, "Pat sucks."

"Tell me about it." Kennedy grumbled as Garrett dragged me into the room.

"No worries. I'll see you guys soon."

"With presents!" Garrett said and I laughed, "Right."

"Make sure John gets his mother something." I added as I fell onto the bed.

Kennedy chuckled, "I will."

"I'm gonna miss my sleeping buddy." Garrett said pouting as he cuddled up beside me.

I chuckled, "We will sleep together when you get back."

"No she won't." Kennedy said pulling me away.

"I don't like him." Garrett said grabbing me back and sticking his tongue out at Kennedy.

I laughed, "Settle down."

"The nerve of some people!" Garrett said jokingly and I couldn't help but laugh.

Kennedy rolled his eyes an sat in the chair as he picked up his guitar.

"Sing for us Ken." Garrett teased and Kennedy shot him a look, "Get out before I throw something at you."

"Fine. Meanie." Garrett grumbled. He kissed my cheek quickly before sprinting out of the room and I laughed as I sat up, "I love him."

"Mhm." He mumbled as he began to play random notes.

"Ho, ho, hopefully." I said picking up on the song and he chuckled, "Yeah. Think we're playing it tonight and it's been a while."

"I like that song."

"And why is that? I thought you hated Christmas songs?"

"I do, but that isn't a typical christmas song, plus you sing in it and like I said, I love your voice."

He smiled before looking at the strings causing me to grin. I liked embarrassing him for some reason.

He began playing the full song as he stood up and he chuckled as he noticed me mouthing the words.

"We go together like the winter and a sweater and she makes me feel, she makes me feel alive inside." He sang with a grin before leaning down and kissing me.

"And when I look into her eyes I see the blue and green like Christmas lights, like Christmas lights, oh what a sight." He whispered and I giggled as he stopped playing and kissed me again.

"You should play that song tonight."

"I will for you." He whispered sitting his guitar down before laying me back on the bed and kissed me softly.

"I'll miss you." He added as he brushed my cheek, "I mean that."

"I'll miss you too."

He kissed my jaw before locking eyes with me, "Do you trust me?"

"Why are you asking that?"

He shrugged, "I just, don't want you to think you can't because of that whole drunken thing that happened."

"Well, if we were together I wouldn't, but we weren't so..."

"And we aren't, so..." he added and I shrugged not sure what he meant by that.

He sighed, "Be my girlfriend, Cassie. I know we haven't, went on a real date or what not, but I don't want you to worry, and I don't want to worry about some idiot hitting on you."

"You being with me means no one would hit on me?"

"Well, not necessarily, but I would feel better knowing nothing would come from it because you'd be mine." He whispered kissing the corner of my mouth.

"Plus, I want you to be. I want to be with you."

I smiled happily and he kissed me, "So, yes?"

I nodded and his fingers tangled into my hair, "Perfect."

Well, we would see.
