Spiraling Downwards

Two hopeless are people taken and captured, only to be tossed alone in an empty, dimly lit room. They stay there for who knows how long, and all they can really do is sit and wait. They think about who's hurt, who they're affecting with their disappearance despite the fact that they hadn't even chosen the path, and these two souls search for a way to console one another. Thinking is inevitable, but a distraction - a distraction can fix the problem faster than the speed of light. Of course, each action bears a consequence, but is it worth it in the end?
