Skipping Stone.

“Get your ass up!”

Parker watched as Josh groaned and rolled his body over. She sighed before pulling the blanket away from his face. He let out another loud groan only making the girl chuckle louder.

“My god!” he winced pulling his body closer as he laid in the fetal position.

“Josh”, she said with a sigh not getting an answer.

She pulled her leg up on the bed moving it slightly, but she got nothing. Finally she jumped up on the bed, her body jumping up and down. She watched his body flop slightly around, but she got nothing. She threw her head back as she watched the boy snore softly. She kicked her legs over his body before slightly sitting down on his body. He didn’t move one bit as she sat on his body. With a sigh she rolled over to the side. She grabbed his hand and placed them on her chest, squeezing his hand slightly. Soon her lips were pressed against his neck, kissing the skin softly. He groaned a bit but continued to let his eyes shut tight. Her lips trailed up his neck before it got to his lips. She kissed him tenderly; it didn’t take long before Josh’s lips moved with hers. She felt his hand caress her face as he deepened the kiss. Parker instantly pulled away to see his bright blue eyes staring back at her.

“Now you’re awake?”

“All of me”, he said as her eyes traveled to the tent being pitched.

Parker rolled her eyes before nudging him slightly. “Get up; I thought you were going to run with me.”

“It that why you woke me, PJ?”

She nodded her head with a wide smile. “Baby girl, it’s three in the morning”, he spoke staring at the clock, well more like glaring. “Are you mental?”

“Very much so”, she said with a slight pout.

“What do I get out of this?”

“Me not being killed”, she spoke with a shrug.

“You need to sweeten the pot, darling.”

Parker immediately shoved at his side causing the boy to groan in pain. “It was a joke, love.”

“Whatever asshole”, she spoke rolling off the bed and standing on her bare feet.

Josh couldn’t help but to smile, there she stood with a pissed off look as she shoved her feet into a pair of running shoes. He kicked his legs over with a sigh as he gripped at his hair.

“Where are my shoes?”

“Don’t do me any favors, Josh”, she spoke with a hint of a smile on her face.

“Oh come off”, he spoke standing up in just his boxers stretching his arms up. “I said I’d go running with you and I will”, he said grabbing a pair of basketball shorts and a shirt and hoodie. “Now stop being a pain in my ass.”

Parker just rolled her eyes as she fixed the shoes on her feet. She reached over grabbing her IPod placing the two ear buds in her ear. She took a seat on the bed watching Josh mop around the room, dragging his feet as he got ready. With his IPod in hand, he turned to Parker with a grin.

“I thought you forgot your IPod?”

Josh grinned at the girl before shrugging his shoulders. “I found it”, he said as Parker nodded her head holding back laughter.

“I’m sure”, she said as he wrapped an arm around her shoulder. “So I saw a park just up the way”, she said as Josh nodded his head.

The two walked out into the cold morning and walked to the park, and as soon as they got there they threw their IPod’s on full blast before starting off with a jog. Josh had to push himself to keep up with the girl. He was breaking a sweat breathing heavily while Parker was simply strolling. Soon he found himself trailing behind her but it wasn’t as though he didn’t mind the view. His eyes were constantly on her bouncing ass in those small shorts of hers. He grinned to himself as he continued his jog. He watched her every move, looking out for anyone in sight only a few other runners were out. He had finally caught up to Parker as the girl grabbed his hand and rushed off to the dark side of the tree. She grabbed his hoodie and pushed him against the tree, her lips were instantly met with his. Josh kissed back furiously as he gripped her waist. The two collapsed on the grass bed as their lips continued to dance with one another. When Parker pulled away she smiled up at the sweaty boy.

“Thank you.”

“For what?” he asked with the same cheeky grin on his face.

“For coming with me, not just the run but here”, she said with a shrug. “I know you barely get days off and I know you would rather spend them with people that mean more-“

And Josh stopped her right there. He brought his lips to hers taking her by surprise. Parker couldn’t help but to close her eyes and as she opened them back up his blue eyes were staring directly into hers.

“Parker, you mean a lot to me.”

She didn’t let him finish his small speech before placing her lips against his. “We should head back, I have work soon.”

Josh nodded his head before jumping up from the ground. He placed his hand out for her to take. Parker instantly took his hand letting the boy pick her small frame up from the floor. She smiled up at him as he wrapped his arm around her pulling her into his body tightly. Parker felt odd by the situation. She didn’t care for the feeling inside her stomach and she most definitely was digging the thumping of her heart. Josh was just supposed to be fun, just a mate that she found attractive but she was afraid that it had turned into something much more. She had feelings for Josh, there was no doubt about it and she was just going with the flow.

“I’m going to take a shower”, she announced ripping the clothing from her body.

“Care for company?”

Parker turned to Josh before rolling her eyes. “I really would, but I have to be ready and out of here in like twenty minutes”, she said pecking his lips quickly. “Be a dear and wake up Georgie for me, yeah?”

“And have her kill me, no thanks.”

“Please”, she begged kissing his lips. “Then when we get home we can take a long nice bath together.”

“You’re killing me woman.”

She gave him a wink before disappearing into the shower. Soon she walked out to see that Josh was already fast asleep. She rolled her eyes as she got dressed and soon she and Georgina were out. When Josh woke up hours later, he walked into the living room to see Chris sitting there his eyes focused on the game.

“The girls are still not back?”

He let out a laugh before shoving the slice of pizza into his mouth. “Not yet mate.”

Josh nodded his head before leaning back into the seat enjoying the silence, but he would much rather be around the beautiful girl. The girls were in another environment. It was hectic as naked models rushed by them all. Georgina watched as Parker dealt with all the stress blissfully. She organized it all while the others were rushing franticly.

“So this is how it is behind a show.”

Parker nodded her head with a chuckle as she sipped her beer softly. “This is nothing darling, the bigger the show the crazier it is.”

“Wow.”

Parker nodded her head before slapping one of the girl’s shoulders. The model turned to her with a raised eyebrow.

“Put some bloody Visine in your eyes”, Parker spoke with anger. “My god, she needs another touch up!” she yelled grabbing the girl away from the opening to the small cat walk. “Especially around the nose area”, she announced loudly making the girl turn to Parker with anger. “Shame on you, snorting some blow minute before you go on”, she said shaking her head in disgust.

She knew drugs were a big thing, especially in fashion as well as music, two things she was very passionate about. But she hated both with a great passion. She found it all disgusting. She got the girls name before walking back to Georgina.

“What was that all about?”

“Bloody twat was as a high as a kite.”

Georgina nodded her head before nervously looking out at the crowds of people outside clapping as every stick figure walked out.

“Do you ever get sick of this?”

Parker looked away from the disgusting girl before looking up at Georgina, she nodded her head softly.

“I do.”

“I love fashion, but I don’t know if I could handle this as gracefully as you.”

“Love”, she spoke with a grin. “If you love something, it doesn’t matter how hard or disgusting it might be it’s worth it in the end”, she said with a grin. “Besides, I was planning on starting a little something soon and I want you on my team or at least helping me.”

“Thank you so much for taking me on this, it means a lot.”

“Darling, thank you for coming”, she said throwing an arm around the girl. “I really hope you lot had fun, considering most of the time I was busy.”

“Chris didn’t mind it, he loves being lazy most of the time”, she said as Parker nodded her head with a laugh. “And Josh, well Josh is probably excited that he got to sleep in the same bed as you.”

“Not as excited as me.”

Georgina noticed the bright grin on her face; she looked up at her with a raised eyebrow. “We’re mates, right?”

“I like to think so.”

“So you won’t get mad or rather hurt if I tell you something.”

“Darling, I’m the queen of being blunt.”

Georgina nodded her head swallowing back the nervousness. “Chris begged me not to say this or question it, but what is exactly going on between Josh and you?”

“I figured this would be asked sooner or later”, she said with a chuckle before looking down at her new friend. “I honestly don’t know. Josh is a mate and this is all fun for me.”

“Do you like him?”

“Of course I do.”

“But in a way other than friends?”

Parker sucked in a breath before shrugging her shoulders. “I don’t think Josh and I would ever work. He’s a mate and we have fun but he’s with Hanna or at least will be and I know better than to get involved in a guy that has an on and off again relationship with the same girl for years”, she said as Georgina nodded her head. “But with Josh, I don’t know. I like the bloke, he’s funny and passionate and we just click you know?”

“Don’t you think it’s going to end terribly wrong?”

“Do you think so?”

Georgina shrugged her shoulders. “I love Josh, he’s like my brother and I love Hanna”, she said as Parker nodded her head. “They were good together or at least I thought, but when you and he are together it’s different from when he and Hanna were together.”

“Why is that?”

“Because I see you two fucking up this whole friendship thing, I see you two having this whole dramatic fairy-tale story that ends in heartache.”

“And how could I not get that ending?”

“By not having a beginning.”
