The InkShop Day Two

The next morning Olivia waited outside just she did the previous day. Her damp hair in tight bun with a black headband holding back her bangs. Today she wore her dark denim short shorts and a dark blue tank top, same black flip flops and her tote bag slung across her shoulders. Olivia checked the time on her phone, it was a few minutes pass nine so she knocked on the door. Who answered wasn't Zola, it was Olivia's look a like. Same height, small frame, the same skin tone as an almond. A second closer glance you could point out the differences. This woman was slightly shorter and weighed more. She had dyed red hair

"Hello" Olivia said happy she could actually have a conversation someone her height. It got frustrating having to look up to talk to people.

"Hello, can I help you?"

"Is Zola here?"

"Oli? Oh I'm sorry were you waiting for me?" Zola appeared behind Olivia look alike

"Yeah"

"Come in, I'm running a bit late" Zola said speed walking back inside. Olivia look alike moved back to welcome her inside "Is ue" Zola came back brushing teeth "ue eat li" she went back

"I'm Rue" Olivia look alike introduced herself "Zola's roommate/baby sitter"

Babysitter?

"Mommy?" a little boy came out of the hallway in spongebob pajamas

"Braiden" Zola came out then knelt down to Braiden "Mommy has to work"

"I don't want you to leave. You at work all day" Braiden pouted

"You're going to stay here with Aunt Rue, ok?" Braiden shook his head "Please" Zola begged, he nodded and gave his mother a hug and kiss "See you tonight" Zola got up and was out the door

"How old is your son?" Olivia asked on the way to the InkShop

"Six, he's a good kid. It hurts me to leave him sometimes like this morning"

Olivia couldn't think of a response to what Zola just said. She didn't have a bond like Zola had with her son so there was no comparison. Just a understatement.

Day two of the Inkshop started out better than yesterday. Aaron, Sircie, Marcus and Paul were waiting outside not Fighting, but they also weren't speaking. Sircie was wearing her same big sunglasses and floppy hat. Aaron was sporting a new pair heels. Marcus and Paul were facing complete different directions. There was no sly condescending comment that escaped Marcus lips as Zola opened up the doors. Aaron went to his 'secretary' desk and everyone dispersed to their station. It was apprehensively quiet. At that point Olivia thought, []what could be worse. Everyone at each other throats or everyone just not speaking at all? I'll take the silence

"Set up for me, I have a client coming soon" Zola ordered then walked away. Olivia carefully went over the steps she learned to yesterday.

"You're doing that wrong" Sircie pointed out motoring Olivia's every move. Staring at her intently with her pink eyes.

"How?"

"When you spray the germicide you have to wait three minutes before wiping" Sircie said then left to her station.

"Don't mine ol' Sirce. You guys will warm up each other" Paul called out across from his station. That didn't seemed likely. Olivia sprayed more germicide to let sit then wiped down.

"Good job you did everything right" Zola was back "I'm going to make this stencil. Come" They walked over the drawing nook. Olivia watched closely as Zola explained her every step. Halfway through a tattoo Zola was doing Olivia was still speculating everything for the past hour "You don't have to sit here the entire time, ya know"

"What else do you want me to do?"

"Ask everyone else if there's anything they need help with. If not you could help Aaron at reception.

Everyone else looked busy doing tattoos. Only one not doing anything at the moment was Marcus great

"Hey Marco?"

"Oh hey Olive" Olivia rolled her eyes not bothering to correct him.

"Need any assistance?"

"Um, you can breakdown my station if you want too" Marcus had already finished one of his appointments.

"I don't know how too"

"What? What tattoo apprentice doesn't know how to breakdown a station?"

"Hey I've only had like three hours of training" Olivia deafened

"Oh yeah you couldn't handle us yesterday so you bailed on us?"

"No, Zola wanted me to leave"

"So you must've been so bad that Zola didn't want you"

jackass Olivia thought along with a list of sarcastic comeback. Instead of tearing in the guy like she wanted to she simply started to leave, like the better person.

"Wait now," He playfully nudged her arm "You could assist me with something after all"

"What's that?"

"Assassinating to me to lunch by letting me take you out" Marcus smiled. It was that point she thought he was repulsive. If thought he could insult her then ask her out!? Hell no. While turning on her heels Olivia sneezed. "God bless you, Olive"

"Why thank you, Malcolm" Olivia sarcastically thanked Marcus purposely getting his name wrong then left and went up to Aaron's desk. He sat there at reception in a computer chair with no computer in front of him. Just his appointment book.

"Hey Aaron, or...Aro?" he couldn't her or the phone ringing. He had earbuds in his nose buried in a book that didn't have his appointments in.. Olivia tapped him on the shoulder, he glanced up from his book calmly and yanked out his earbuds then went to answer the phone

"InkShop Aro speakin', how my assist you today?" after three minutes of Aaron's "Mhm-m"'s and "Yes"'s his scribbled in his appointment book with his purple sparkling gel pen "Well you just gunna stand there, hun?"

"I just wanted to know I'd you need any help?" Olivia offered

"Does it look like I need help?"

"It looks like you could use someone to talk to"

Aaron smiled "Pull up a chair" Olivia rolled over a stool. Finally someone she could talk to in this place. They conversed. Aaron was a sweetheart and funny. They talked about boys, makeup, and concerts

"Oh-oh hottie alert, 1 o'clock" Aaron warned, he glanced at his reflection fixing strays hair from his long extensions. Olivia shook her head the looked for said 'hottie" through the shop doors. The top of the door ringed, in walked Ronnie. "Good afternoon!" Aaron loudly welcomed before Olivia could say anything "Welcome to the InkShop, I'm Aro" he batted his long fake lashes. Amused Ronnie played along

"Afternoon Aro" Ronnie politely replied

"Can I assist you with anythang, handsome?" Aaron's southern drawl was getting thicker by the syllable.

Oh god, Olivia thought holding back her laughter.

"No, thank you"

"Aro this is Ronnie, my boyfriend"

"Boyfriend? He's yours!?"" Aaron exclaimed.

"Is it that hard to believe?"

"Sorry"

"When's your lunch break?" Ronnie asked leaning over the desk

"I don't know. I'll have to ask Zola real quick" Olivia got up

"Oh sugar, go head I'll tell Zoe you left on break" Aaron

"No I should ask" the phone rang

"InkShop, Aro speakin'. How may I assist you this evening?" 'go!' mouthed

"Come on" Ronnie pulled on Olivia arm, she glanced back. Zola was still tattooing as well as everyone besides Sircie and she definitely didn't want assist her so she left. As soon as they were out Aaron's sight

"Oh my god! Ronnie, you are my savior"

"What's wrong?"

"Everyone in there!" Olivia was talking about the InkShop. They walked in to Smoothies King. Ronnie chuckled "This isn't a laughing matter, Ronald!"

"Of course not" Ronald took Olivia's hand and ordered some smoothies, a wrap for Ronnie and oven baked Fries for Olivia.

"So, how's work?"

"Kind of boring, but then again I am working with a crew of nut cases"

"What do you mean?" Ronnie asked after he was done laughing.

"The place is a loony bin!" Olivia exclaimed

"And you're the only normal one huh"

"I'm the only sane one" Olivia corrected sipping on her strawberry and banana smoothie, Ronnie was eating his wrap.

"How so?"

"Well we have the douche bag brothers Marco and Polo"

"Is that their real names?"

"No, it's Paul and Marcus or something. Then you have this girl with red eyes that's just mad at the world"

"She wears red contacts?"

"Ok so I was exaggerating. She has pinkish eyes but they aren't contacts, she is albino" Olivia smashed her fries with her finger, before she could even put them to her mouth a series of coughs and sneezes adjourned

"Slow down before you choke!"

"I didn't even eat any yet" Olivia sneezed once more, she waited then took another sip of her smoothie "Oh let's not forget we have Jeffree Star's black cousin as a receptionist oh, I mean 'secretary'"

"He seemed nice"

"He was only nice to you because he thinks you're a 'hottie' his words not mine. You know that"

"Laugh Olivia. You'll live longer"
