When he heard the water turn on he hopped from her bed and went into the living room where Kacy and her laptop sat on the couch.

"So..." She said not bothering to look up because she could feel his presence.

"So..."

"You kiss her yet?" She asked looking up and he rubbed the back of his neck as his cheeks turned crimson, "Uh, maybe?"

She smirked, "Didn't think you had it in you, Franceschi."

"Yeah, well, I'm not losing her this time around."

"Blaine basically told her you are the reason she's acting like she is. That you bring out the worst in here."

He stifled a laugh and fell beside her, "Do you think that?"

"No. I think you bring back the girl we loved in high school."

"Was she really that different? She seems normal to me. Never seen her cry so much, but you know..."

"I mean, when it's just us she isn't different, but around him, her mom, it's different. It's like she just gave up fighting and what they wanted she just agreed with. But you're back so it's different..." she said typing away on her computer as he processed her words.

"She needs you more than she leds on. You were always the one who supported what she wanted no matter what. That's what she needs right now. Someone to believe that she isn't messing everything up. There is only so much I can do because well, you know me." She said giving him a smile which he returned, "Yeah. Well, I'm here now and I'm not going anywhere again. Not in that way anyways."

"I hope that's true, Josh."

"It is. I love her too much to lose her again. By the way, Max likes you." He stated and she instantly blushed as her eyes widened, "What?"

"Yeah, an since I know you, you should ask him out. He's too much of a pansy to do it, but if I keep hearing about how much he likes you I'll shoot both of you because it's obvious you like him."

"I uh, well..."

He gave her a stern look and she sighed, "Ok I do. So what?"

"Lovely. Well get on it." He said smiling as he heard the bathroom door open.

"Could say the same to you."

"I'm working on it. You have done nothing but flirt shamelessly." He said with a smirk as he got up from the couch.

"Yeah you better walk away." She grumbled and he laughed as he walked to Greyson's doorway.

"Ready?" He asked watching her put makeup on quickly.

"Does it look it?" She asked and before he could speak she cut him off knowing he'd say she looked fine, "Don't answer that."

"But you're beautiful. No need for all that shit."

She blushed thanking the fact that he couldn't see due to how she was standing.

"Shut up."

He chuckled as she quickly slid on some flats. He couldn't help but watch how delicately she did everything.So gracefully. For some reason he found himself wanting to kiss her. He grabbed her hand as she reached him and he flashed her a smile as she held on to his arm.

Something about how he held her hand made her feel safe from everything. Like no one could come between her and her happiness. That he would protect her from all things bad in the world including her ex fiancé and mother.

"Where to?" She asked once they hit the sidewalk. He smiled down at her, his arm now loosely around her waist.

"I dunno love. The diner I assume. It's close and plus, it's a bit colder than I thought." He said pulling her closer to his side.

"Well, let's drive."

"To our coffee shop." He suggested and she smiled, "Perfect." She responded grabbing his hand and pulling him to his own car.

"A bit of a drive though, love." He added and she batted her eyes at him causing him to bite his lip.

"Please." She begged as she leaned against the car door, his hand still in hers.

He sighed and placed his free hand behind her, leaning closer to her face as he did so. She didn't think that would work so easily on him, but apparently so and it caused a grin to hit her lips.

"You're so evil." He said smirking and she couldn't help but laugh.

"What?!"

"You know what you did." He said kissing her nose.

"So we're going?"

He chuckled, "Trust me, we were never not."

She smiled and he kissed the corner of her mouth, "Get in, love."

She wrapped her arms around him and he found it hard to keep his lips off of her.

"Greyson." He cooed as his lips trailed down her jaw. He was scared to kiss her lips for several reasons. What if what happened minutes before hand was just her mad at Blaine? What if it was only something acceptable behind closed doors? His mind wonder before she pecked his lips herself, "Let's go."

A grin hit his lips and they got into the car. Maybe he was wrong.

She couldn't help but study him as he drove. She had missed him more than she thought possible. It felt like time between them didn't exist though. Like they picked up right where they left off. He felt her eyes on him and a grin hit his lips as he shot her a look, "What?"

"Nothing. I've just really missed you." She responded honestly and he reached over grabbing up her hand, "I've really missed you, love."

He kissed the top of her hand before linking their fingers, "Has your mom called yet?"

"No. Only a matter of time."

"It'll all be ok, Grey. I promise."

She nodded with a sigh before looking out the window. She hoped he was right because she was mentally exhausted.

Once they arrived at their spot, he held her hand and walked inside to the small place.

"Well, well, Josh Franceschi makes an appearance." The guy known as Brandon, at the counter said with a smile. They older guy had worked there since they started this trend and Josh laughed, "Nice to see you too, mate."

"Where have you been hiding?"

Josh chuckled as he leaned against the counter, "Where haven't I been? I've been on tour a lot."

"Oh right. Big time celebrity now." Brandon teased causing Greyson to laugh, "He wishes."

"Oye." Josh responded shooting her a look.

"Are you the bloke who put that ring on her finger? I noticed it last time she came in." Brandon said with a smirk.

"Unfortunately not, mate, but I am however the reason why it's not there anymore." Josh responded confidently and Greyson shot him a look causing Brandon to laugh, "Yeah well, doesn't surprise me. Been wondering when you two would get together." He said as he made there coffee without asking what they wanted.

The girl instantly blushed at his words and Josh flashed her a smile before he gave her a wink.

"I mean, come on mate, it's been years, are you that daft to not ask a lovely bird out?" He teased sitting the cups in front of them.

Greyson couldn't help but laugh and Josh shook his head, "Yeah, yeah Brandon..."

The guy laughed as Josh paid him before they went to sit at a table. He looked up at the now giggling girl and a smile hit his lips, "What?"

"Nothing. That was just amusing."

"For you."

"For me and him."

"Fine. For everyone, but me."

she smiled and before she could speak her phone went off causing her smile to fade as she grabbed it from her pocket.

"It's my mom..."

"Just answer it. Get it over with. It'll be ok, love." He said grabbing her hand for support as he watched her hesitate as the phone rang softly.

She breathed in as she answered, "Hello?"

Greyson winced and Josh moved closer to her, disregarding his coffee waiting on him. He could tell this wasn't going to go well.

"What do you want me to say?" She said into the phone and he simply started at her.

"That you're marrying Blaine." Her mom said in a snappy tone.

"I can't do that." She said softly and Josh wrapped his arms around her waist to comfort her. He didn't know what was being said, but it was upsetting her regardless.

"Is this because of Josh? If he left once he'll leave again then you'll just be hurt and alone." Her mom said harshly and Josh kissed her cheek. Her mom was wrong about Josh. She knew him better than anyone. He wouldn't do that again.

"You don't know him like I do mom. Blaine isn't right for me."

"Why? Because he's not throwing his life away by being in a rock band?" She snapped and Greyson sighed, "That doesn't matter! I don't love Blaine! You seem to though!"

"Oh and let me guess, you think you love Josh?" Her mom said and Greyson's eyes locked with the blue eyed boy next to her.

"Not guessing, I do. I always have. You knew that."

"Greyson Blake, you're marrying Blaine. Josh isn't right for you. He can't provide for you!"

With Josh confidently by her side she was able to be stronger than she would be on her own and she knew that as she chose her words carefully, "Mom, I will not marry Blaine. That's final. It has always been Josh and always will be, so there is no point in lying about it anymore." She said causing the boy to grin. Hearing her say that sent his heart into a frenzy. Even if those words were to her mom instead of him it meant a lot.

"You will regret this."

"No, I won't. You wouldn't get it I assume. I mean, after three marriages love isn't even a word to you." She said now getting angrier and angrier at her mother yet she continued, "Well, I'm not a child and you can't tell me what to do.

I love Josh and nothing you do or say will change that." She added before she had enough and hung up the phone with a sigh. Josh just stared at her processing her words and once she realized what she said a blush hit her cheeks like no other.

"You love me? Like, real love?" Josh finally spoke and she groaned placing her face into her hands.

"Do you?" He asked pulling her closer to him. He wanted to hear her say it to him. He sure as hell felt that way, but he had to know what she was thinking.

"Maybe." She mumbled and he chuckled, kissing her jaw in the process.

"I've always loved you Grey. Always." He whispered to her and she looked up at him. Tt seemed to come so easy to him, but that could be because he had always felt that way.

"My mom is going to probably kidnap me and have me married off."

"Ha! I would never let that happen. Trust me."

She shrugged and fiddled with the cup in front of her. He knew she wasn't happy about everything going on, but he didn't know how to make it better.

He gently grabbed her chin so she'd look at him and once her green eyes came in contact with his he spoke softly, "I love you, ok? I'm not stupid enough to let you go twice, so you're not making a bad decision unless you really do want to marry him."

"I don't." She whispered and he nodded, "Good, because I want us to have a shot some day."

She gave him a weak grin and he kissed her cheek, "Don't be upset, love. Please. You did nothing wrong."

"I know..." she whispered and he pulled her close, "It'll be fine. Just wait, you'll see."

"I hope you're right."

She spent the rest of the day with Josh. Laughing and talking like they had always done. The only thing new was the several kisses he placed on her throughout their time together, but she found herself growing more and more fond of them with every passing hour.

"See you tomorrow?" He asked swaying their hands as they reached her door. A smile hit her lips, "If you want."

"If I want...ha." he said with a grin, "Of course I want to see you."

She smiled, "Then you will."

He grabbed her waist and pulled her to him until their noses touched.

"See you tomorrow baby girl." He whispered before pressing their lips together.

"Sweet dreams." He added running his hand into her hair finding it hard to move away from her. He just wanted to take her home with him.

She bit her lip in debate about asking him to stay. It would have been nothing to do so if they were just friends but now she didn't know what was acceptable or if they even had to change any of it.

A grin hit his lips and he let out a chuckle, "I'm finding it hard to leave without you." He said rubbing the back of his neck nervously. He didn't know how he could be so comfortable with the girl and yet she could still make him feel this way. She laughed and hugged him which he instantly accepted.

"I would let you stay, but I really don't want to have Kacy harass me for the rest of my life..."

He laughed, "Didn't think about that."

She looked up at him and he pecked her lips, "See you tomorrow."

"Goodnight Josh."

"Goodnight Grey." He chuckled as he let her go and he waited until she was inside to leave. The smile he now had would be on his face as long as she was around.
