Monster of Me
After listening to the song 'Romance' by BUCK-TICK, reading the lyrics and watching the video, I was inspired to write a story based upon it.
Basically the singer Atsushi Sakurai is a nobleman who fell deeply in love with his childhood friend, Maria. This affection developed and developed until it grew into an obsession.
He confesses his feelings to her one night, hoping that she would reciprocate them so that they may be lovers, but he discovers to his dismay that she is already in a relationship.
On the night of her wedding, he becomes so enraged at the thought of her marrying someone else that he ends up murdering her. At this, he is tormented by his grief and guilt and begins to regret having killed her. He begins to miss her and realises how much he really loved her. He decides to take his own life in order to follow her to the afterlife.
