Sugar Rush

15

Allison stepped back from her neatly displayed dinner with a smile. It was a romantic looking set up with a low fat high carb diet that she hoped would work with his hockey diet. She knew he was on some form of diet but didn’t know what it was just that Jordan always complained that everything was too high in sugar or fat in the house. She would then tell him dessert chef to which he would mock her and go complain to Lorain.

Slowly the door opened and she looked up to find Sidney sheading his winter coat slowly. His brow was a furrowed in thought and she bit her lip at the look. He brought his deep hazel gaze to her and watched her carefully as he worried his bottom lip, still thinking.

“Hi.” Was all she could whisper. He looked good in a simple grey V-neck shirt that spanned tight across his torso and simple blue jeans his thighs and ass consumed.

“Hi.” He whispered back. She waved to the dinner nervously.

“I didn’t know what you…can eat…” Slowly backing up as he made his way across the kitchen to her with a heavy look in his eyes she swallowed. “Everything okay?” She whispered. Panic swarmed her system thinking what she’d said in her bakery, without thinking, had made him mad.

“Perfect.” He whispered as he caught her pinned between the counter and him. Placing his hands on either side of her he rolled his jaw. “I saw your…interview…” He trailed off as he caught her stunned gaze. “If you could call it that.” He clicked his tongue.

“I just… Umm…” Stumbling over her own tongue she wondered if that would be the end of this. One night and her big, stupid mouth ruined it.

“It was…hot.” He breathed against the side of her neck. Peppering kissed along her neck he snickered as she let out a deep breath and relaxed against his tongue. “I recall this being a bakery, a shop, one in which Mr. Sidney Crosby does not work.” He quoted easily. “But if I recall, this is a kitchen in which I am standing with full intentions to have my ways with you since you so sweetly told press to…if I recall,” he smirked at her, his nose touching hers as he looked her in the eyes. “To fuck off.”

“I just…” She stuttered once more at the devious smirk painted across his lips. “I didn’t think before I spoke.” She whispered slowly, now thinking about her words.

“I don’t care what that was.” He smiled. “I liked it.” Pressing his lips to hers, he wrapped his strong arms around her thick middle and pulled her in close. Working his lips against hers, she melted into his touch and gripped his strong arms, pulling him closer. “I really, really liked it.” He admitted when they broke for a breath.

“Well then, Mr. Crosby, I firmly believe in dinner before dessert.” She stated. Sidney pursed his lips and pushed his hips into hers. His thick length pressed to her thick thigh telling her he’d been thinking about this moment the whole drive over. In completely honestly he’d been thinking about it from the moment he saw it on the five-o-clock news. “Dinner first.” She pointed to the meal.

“You’re such a tease.” He pouted. Allison giggled.

“Always save the best for last.” She whispered in his ear. A soft moan left his lips as he dipped his head to catch her lips, in hopes to change her mind. He only found her cheek as she giggled at him.

“Someone’s feeling ballsy today.” Sidney snickered. She could only manage a nod, if she looked him in the eye or if he even kept kissing her cheek she’d bend to his will.

Sighing he moved to the table despite what he wanted to do. Allison followed on shaky legs wondering if she just want him. Sitting at the table felt awkward with the dark gaze he was burning through her. She could only timidly point at his plat while she lifted her own fork. Like an irritated child he turned his gaze to his plate as he began shoveling food into his face.

“So.” She drew in a deep breath. Sid’s eyes snapped up to her so fast with hope in them she thought it would’ve given him whip lash. “Anything fun happen today?” She asked to direct tension away from the sexual kind.

“You mean besides your amazing interview?” He teased.

“Yes.” She sputtered, choking on her food slightly. She swatted Sid’s hand away knowing what it would lead to if he touched her. He laughed.

“Not really.” Sid sighed. “In the middle of practice Mario came down from his office howling with laughter as he called me over. It was…confusing until he showed the video.” Sid hummed. “The whole team loved it…not as much as I did thought…” He reflected.

Hiding her face in her hands she could feel the burning blush of her cheeks. She’d made a complete fool of herself for the whole city to see. Hell the whole hokey community. She jumped as he touched her hand gently.

“Don’t be ashamed. They deserved.”

“I know they did but…now…” Groaning she pouted at the thought of people only coming to her shop for her, not for her baked goods. “Now I feel like my shop, hell myself, are just going to be this huge joke.” She breathed honestly. “It’s embarrassing.” She sighed.

“You’re not going to joke. Yes, people will probably come by the show to see if they can see you, but they’ll also get hit with that smell and buy something and keep coming back for your desserts.” He hummed. “And if need be I can set people straight. No one goes against the golden boy.” He stated. Allison laughed at his choice of words.

“Cocky much?” She giggled, grinning at him. Sid smiled back at her, his hand still warmly wrapped around hers.

“Made you smile, didn’t it?” He asked. She flushed at his words and leaned across the table to kiss him gently. “Don’t start that if you actually want me to finish dinner.” He growled. She rolled her eyes at him.
