Your Love Is My Oxygen

After Corrie left I went back in the house to see Jacky standing in
the hallway, his arms crossed over his chest, “Just friends eh?” I
rolled my eyes, “I don’t need this right now. It’s none of your
business anyway.” He laughed and stood in front of me, “How is she
going to handle it when we go on tour? It’s not like she’s going to
get all comfortable with you being her boyfriend and then just be ok
with you leaving to go tour?”

I sighed, as much as I hated this, he was right. I don’t want to be
happy with Corrie and then just have to run off and go touring with
the band, but I can’t leave the band, it’s my life. Jacky looked at
me, putting his hand on my shoulder, “You’ll figure it out my friend,”
with that he walked away and left me alone in the living room. I fell
back on the couch and sighed, “Why does this have to be so difficult?”
Derek walked in, “What are you talking about?” I picked my head up,
“Corrie, the band, life.” He laughed a little, “What’s going on?” I
hate talking to them about this, he’s known me since we were in high
school and he knows Corrie, “I’m dating Corrie now, and I-,” Derek cut
me off, “No! Since when?” Now it was my turn to laugh, “Um…since
earlier today. Before she left for work we kind of made-out in the
kitchen.”

Derek gave me a high-five, “Talking to Corrie again for only a few
days and you’re already close to getting in her pants!” I groaned,
“No, Derek. My relationship with Corrie is too special for me to do
that to her. She’s been my best friend since…hell since I can
remember. I don’t want to be stupid and mess this up.” He nodded, “You
know, Corrie got hot.” I smacked him upside the head, “Don’t even
think about trying anything Jones or you will regret it.” He held
his head, “Ow! I wasn’t going to! Come on, I have some respect for
your happiness, and just judging by the way she looks at you, she’d
never go for me.” I'm pretty sure I gave him a what the hell are you talking about look, "Derek, just shut up."

I pulled my phone out and sent Corrie a text. hey, come back over to the house after work? We can have another movie night? "Let's go Ronnie! We need to get to the studio!" I heard Jacky yell, I groaned and shoved my phone in my pocket before running out the door, we were sittng in the car when I finally got a text back from her.

Smiling I put my phone away and followed the guys into the studio, Derek turned to look at me, "Ronnie's smiling like he's gonna get laid!" I rolled my eyes, "No, I just get to spend the night with my girlfriend after we get done here, so let's get it over with, ok? Unlike you I have someone I'm excited to see that isn't my hand." Ryan, Derek, and Jacky all glared at me, "Shut the hell up." I laughed and was the first one into the recording booth, after I was finished Jacky, then Ryan, then Derek. Today was gonna be one long ass day...
