The Future is Now

-2 days later-

Today was the day Alex was finally coming home, i was so happy he was coming home. Me and Rian picked him up at 9 in the morning while Avery watched the twins. On the way home we picked up Alexs prescription, this is gonna be interesting. We got home and Alex took some medication and fell asleep. He came out to the livingroom not to long after.

"Hey" Alex said sitting on the couch

"Hey. You were sleeping for like ten minutes go back to sleep!" i said amazed that he was up

"Nahhh im good" he said

"You gotta sleep that stuff off" i said

"Im fine. Im gonna make some coffee. No!, im gonna make tea" he said getting up and tripping over himself

"Your like basically sedated plus you just had surgery. Go nap" i said

"I cant function" he said and walked to the kitchen like he was on a boat

"Rian please follow him" i said

"Of course" Rian said and followed Alex

We spent like a hour trying to get Alex to go rest. He was super annoying and acting like he was five, then again everyone acts like that while on morphine. I ended up having Avery take the twins to Zacks so they could play with Charlotte. I felt like i had a third child. I decided to call his mom, she came over pretty quick.

"Hi Sophie" she said as i let her in

"Hey. Hes in the kitchen with Rian" i said

"Okay" she said and i followed her to the kitchen

"Mommy!" Alex said excited, he was sitting on Rians lap

"Hi hunny. You should be in bed" she said

"Well im fine" he said

"But you need to rest. You gotta heal" she said

"But i dont wanna lay down" he said

"You need to" she said

"Nope" he said

"Come on babe you need to. Get off Rian and lets go" i said

"Fine" he said and he went to our room

He ended up falling asleep for like 6 hours. I was surprised at how long he was sleeping, i knew this medicine made you sleepy but i didnt know how much. At about almost 5 he came out of our room and got laid down next to me on the couch.

"Hi babe. Feel better?" i asked

"Mhmm...really really sore" he said

"I bet" i said

"Where are the twins?" he asked

"Zacks" i said

"Really?" he asked

"Mhm. Jacks here though, hes in the bathroom" i said

"He is?!. Damn, i was just thinking of going in there. I dont feel good" he said

"You feel like your gonna puke?" i asked

"Yes" he whinned

"He'll be out soon" i said

"Alex!" Jack said coming back to the living room

"Thank god!" Alex said getting up and pushing past him

"What happened?" Jack asked

"The medicine made him sick" i said

"He was on a strong dose right?" he asked

"Very strong" i said

"Makes sense for him to get sick" he said and i nodded

"Yeah. He was super annoying though" i said

"I bet" he said

"Me and Rian had to stop him from streaking the neighborhood

"Wow!" he laughed

Later that night after the twins were in bed me and Alex were just hanging out in bed, we never really hangout just the two of us. We were watching a scary movie before bed and i was laying with my head on his chest. I tryed to move to get more comfortable and i ended up hitting Alexs stitches.

"Oww" Alex whinned

"Sorry" i laughed

"I cant believe how horrible i feel!" he said

"You'll be fine" i said

"Yeah but it really hurts" he said

"Poor baby" i said

"I think you need to kiss it better" he said

"Its the least i could do for hitting the scar" i said and he pulled the blanket and shirt away and i kissed his hip

"You know. The kids are asleep, you wanna-" he started and i cut him off

"Alex no!. I refuse to ever do that while their home, plus your healing" i said

"Damnit!" he said
