Three Cheers

"That's because you're easy."

At the park, Busy played in the sandbox with Happy, Frank played with them, and me and Gerard sat at the edge, on the concrete. Gerard had his sunglasses on, with his hand was holding mine. Internally, I was feeling happy, but I knew that it wouldn't last.

"What's going on?" Gerard whispered in my ear.

I furrowed my brows a moment, "What do you mean?"

"You're deep in your head, Sugar." He answered.

I shook my head, "Just... Thinking."

He wrapped his arms around my shoulders, "Stop it, we're suppose to be having fun." Gerard smiled against my cheek.

"Can't help it, Gee. I have a feeling that I know who did it." I replied, shaking my head.

Gerard moved back to study my face, "Who?"

"You're going to think I'm crazy." I mumbled.

"No I won't." He said this with conviction, "Tell me. I'm gonna kill them."

I smirked at him, "You aren't going to kill the person."

"I'll do something." He threatened, "Tell me."

I exhaled, "I think it was Eliza."

He furrowed his brows just as her name died on my lips, "What? Really?" He seemed so curious, "How and why? She doesn't even know I'm with you."

"She's friends with your brother."

The whole thing dawned on Gerard. His face clued in, "No shit. She went looking for your store when we did that show."

"Gee, do you think--?" I asked.

He shrugged, "Shit, I wouldn't put it past her..." He sighed, "October, I'm so sorry, if it was her, I... I don't know what I'll do."

"Don't worry about it, isn't your problem." I said softly, "I really..." I trailed, "Forget it. If its her, I don't give a fuck--"

I was cut off, "Mama!" Busy called to me, "No say that!"

I smiled at her, "Sorry, B."

"It's 'kay." Busy returned to playing with Frank and Happy.

I looked back at Gerard, "If it's her, there isn't anything I can do. Ignoring her is the best thing." I replied.

"October, she should go to prison." Gerard said incredulously.

"Gerard, I believe in karma." I said quietly, "She'll get hers."

Gerard looked at me with uncertainty, "You ain't gonna file charges?"

"I can't tell the officers that it's her without solid proof." I coursed my hair back, "I'm just gonna rebuild... Star over."

Gerard pulled me closer to him, "I'll be right here to help."

"Thank you."

"Never thank me. I love you."

Gerard kept me close as we watched Busy jump around with Happy, all around Frank. Frank himself was tired out from running around with her. He sat out with Gerard, I got up and let her go down the slide, leaving Happy with the guys.

I watched and caught her the few times she went down the slide. Then she wanted to go on the swings; Gerard had come over, "Hey, want me to push you?" He asked Busy.

She nodded, "Please!"

Gerard chuckled, I stepped back, leaning against the steel pole of the swing-set, "Where's Frank?"

"He took Happy to poop." Gerard grimaced slightly.

I chuckled, "Good."

Gerard began to push Busy on the swing, going slow. He looked over at me, "You look pretty today, Sugar."

I raised my brow, "What?"

"You look pretty." He repeated.

I rolled my eyes slightly, "Okay. What do you want?"

He smiled, "I want you to come over here."

I crossed the short distance, "Alright."

He turned his head to me as I stood beside him, "Gimme a kiss."

I huffed a soft laugh as Busy came and went with small giggles. I leaned up and kissed his cheek.

He frowned slightly, "Not that kinda kiss."

I crossed my arms, "Nope. I don't think you deserve one."

He shook his head at me, "C'mon, I'd give you one."

"That's because you're easy."

He laughed, "Easy? You wish."

I shook my head and continued to watch him push Busy. I looked at her, stepping towards her; she had a big grin on her face, "Hey, baby. Are you havin' fun?"

She nodded, "Yes!"

I turned back to Gerard, he had a content smile on his face, "I love you." I said to him.

A bigger smile broke out on his face, "What was that for?"

"You make Busy happy." I told him.

"Do I make you happy?" He asked with a small smirk.

"Don't get cocky." I kept my arms crossed, "But, you make my B happy, I'm happy."

"I love making you guys happy," Gerard smiled still.

All I could do was smile and shake my head. It didn't matter how angry I felt inside, Busy and Gerard always made me feel better.

Busy passed out after Gerard fed her dinner. Her and Happy fell asleep in her bed; Happy curled up beneath her arm. I kissed the top o her head before leaving her room, closing the door only half way.

I returned to my living room, where Gerard was, "She loves that dog, don't she?" He asked softly.

"Yep." I replied, sitting beside him.

"She's got a little one to watch after now," He said.

"I can only hope she'll never get bored of the poor dog, she has a tendency to do that to her dolls." I said with a soft chuckle.

"I don't think she will." Gerard pulled me onto his lap, then kissed the side of my neck. "Y'know, we gotta talk about something."

I looked back at him, "What?"

"I live out in New York..." He said softly.

I tweaked my lips, "Yeah, so?"

"I have to go back soon..."

I gave a small huff, "Can you finish your sentence? What're you getting at, Gee?"

He gave a shrug, "Just that... How will this work?"

"Just as its been." I told him.

I had a feeling Gerard was getting at something. I just didn't know what.

"That's my home." He said softly.

I swallowed thickly, "Gee, it's too early to be thinking about things like this. Home is here, my family is here, Busy loves it here."

"I know, I know... But it's gonna be such a hassle to fly and visit."

I felt myself becoming angry, "If you love her, you'll do it, she's your daughter."

"I don't want to fight," He squeezed my waist, "Maybe... You think about it?"

I hung my head, "There's nothing to think about. I don't want to move."

He sighed, "October, I don't want to upset you, alright? I was just saying."

I sighed, "I get it. Let's not fight about it."

He pressed his lips to my jaw, "Yeah."

I moved a bit, to stand, but Gerard held me firmly. I sighed, "I want to go to bed." I told him.

"Can I come with you?" He asked almost shyly.

I giggled, "Yes, Gee."

Gerard let me go, then took my hand as we stood to head to my bedroom. Once in there, I changed my clothes, while Gerard just took his jeans and shoes off, he climbed into bed with me, his arms wrapped around my middle and buried his head in the crook of my neck. "'Night." He said softly.

"Goodnight, Gee."
