Bruises Heal (Damage Control)

Eric's the gorgeous new guy in 11th grade that even the popular senior girls would dump their desirable boyfriends to get a chance with. But, strangely, he doesn't want anything to do with popularity. He's athletic, gentle, funny, and smart. While everyone in the school is fighting to be his friend, his goal is to become friends with the one girl in the entire school who won't give him--or anyone else--the time of day.

Cassey's the girl that's the popular kids' favorite target, she's sweet, caring, headstrong, and doesn't believe in fairytales. She's the one that sits in the back of the class and doesn't talk much. Not because she's shy, but because she's got secrets she can't trust anyone with. When she's partnered with Eric for a science project that will last the rest of the semester, she's curious at how easily he's frustrated when she deliberately answers him without speaking. She's constantly fighting the urge to open up to him and let him into her life, but...it's starting to get harder as they grow closer. Can she trust him or is she right not to believe that happily-ever-after can exist for her?
