It's Called Warped Because Hell Was Already Taken

Fallen Angels

“Fucking hell.”
I groaned loudly as I opened my eyes. The sun was shinning brightly, too brightly.
“Hangover’s suck don’t they?” I heard Andy laugh softly.
“Shut up.” I grumbled, placing a pillow over my face.
“I’m sorry.”
I felt the mattress bend as his weight was added to my bunk. A second later the pillow was removed from my face.
“You doing okay baby?” he asked, trailing his fingers down my cheek.
“As good as you could expect after drinking god knows how much whiskey.” I let out a half hearted laugh.
“I’ll get you some aspirin.”
A minute later Andy returned with a bottle of pills and a glass of water.
“Thanks babe.”
I took a few of the small white pills hoping this headache would go away soon.
“Come here.”
Andy crawled into bed with me, wrapping his arms around my middle. He rested his head against my chest, listening to my breathing.
Pretty soon, I fell asleep again.

“Morning baby.”
I sat up slowly, not wanting to hit my head on the bunk above me. I’ve done it before, and I wasn’t about to do it again.
“Hey.” I smiled, pulling him in for a hug.
He seemed uncomfortable as he sat back to look at me.
“What’s wrong?” I asked, suddenly feeling worried.
“Aren’t you still mad at me?” he seemed hesitant.
“Why would I be mad baby?”
He tugged at a white bandage that had been placed around his wrist.
Oh, right.
The memories came flooding back. How I had walked away, pissed and drunk. I felt a wave of guilt as I thought of the blonde chick I had banged later that night.
Last night.
I couldn’t remember who it was, aside from the fact that she seemed vaguely familiar.
“I’m…not mad.” I spoke slowly, trying to think.
“You seemed mad.”
“I was, when I found you. You didn’t tell me, and I didn’t know how to react. I’ve calmed down, and realized I shouldn’t be mad at you for slipping up once. You’ve been doing great baby.” I kissed him.
“I’m still sorry, but I’m glad you’re not still angry. I thought I had fucked up our relationship pretty badly.” he admitted in a small voice.
I couldn’t help but laugh. “Andy, I fucking love you. It’s going to take more than that to ruin our relationship.”
“Thank god.”
“Mhmmm.”
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
I leaned in to kiss him, hungrily moving down his neck.
He moaned beneath me as my teeth sunk into the soft skin on his neck.
“You’re too easy.” I smirked.
My fingers danced down his back; he wasn’t wearing a shirt. Teasingly tugging at the band of his pants, I earned another moan.
His lips reattached themselves to mine, pressing firmly. His lips parted slightly, hinting what he wanted.
My tongue entered, letting a battle for dominance begin.
“A-Ashley.” he sighed, arching his back as I rubbed him through his pants.
“Andy! Ashley!” a new voice called out and the curtain was pulled back.
Just in time I let go of Andy, keeping an arm around his waist.
“What?” I sounded a little bitter, but come on! Christian just ruined our moment.
“Dear god, I don’t want to know what I just interrupted. Anyway, we’re going out…” he trailed off, averting his eyes.
“CC, we’re not naked. You can look. Secondly, is that all?” Andy smirked.
“Yep.”
He turned, streaking towards the front of the bus. I couldn’t help but laugh at his reaction.
“Now,” I turned towards Andy. “Where were we?”

We had roughly an hour before our set, and I had chosen this time to just walk around.
I was ready, war paint on. All I had to do was grab my bass and start playing.
Walking around the venue in whatever city we happened to be in, I signed autographs for anyone who asked.
“Ashley?” someone called out to me.
“Yeah?” I turned to see Ronnie walking towards me.
“What’s up man?” I asked, completely aware of the anger radiating off his body.
“What the fuck was that last night?” he demanded.
“What?”
“Don’t play dumb with me Purdy. I saw the girl you walked off with.”
Oh, that’s right. We were standing near the stage where they were playing.
“I still don’t get what you’re going on about. I walked away with a girl, so what?” I asked nonchalantly.
“Ashley! You have a fucking boyfriend!”
“I know. It doesn’t mean I did anything.” I lied.
“So you didn’t fuck her?” he asked carefully.
“No.” I kept on lying. “I turned her down, because I actually love Andy.”
“I’m sorry man. I didn’t mean to jump to conclusions, Andy was worried when I talked to him yesterday.
Great.
Ronnie had seen me walk off with a girl. At least I had been able to convince him that nothing happened.
And nothing did.
Until we reached the hotel she was staying in…
It was a one night thing! I was drunk and upset, it’s not like I’m ever going to see her again.
Right?
“It’s okay. Hey, I have to go. Our set is about to start.” I bid Ronnie goodbye, half running back towards the stage we were playing.
Boyfriend or not, Andy would kill me if I was late.

“There you are!” he hugged me from behind.
“Yep. Alright, let’s get this show started.” I smiled, taking my guitar out of it’s case.
“Arizona!” Andy yelled out to the screaming crowd. “Let’s set this place on fucking fire!”
No need to Andy.
Remember when I said I couldn’t wait to leave for a different state? Arizona was not what I had in mind.
I’m pretty sure it was fucking hotter here.
“Our first song is called Fallen Angels!”
We started playing the intro, and I watched as Andy walked across the stage slowly.
“Scream! Shout! We are the fallen angels! We are the in-between, cast down as sons of war. Struck to the earth like lightning, on this world we’re torn.”
Judging by his slow, forced movements, I have a feeling Andy forgot to take his pain medication again.
Great.
This show was going to drag forever for him. For me as well, having to watch him.
Not soon enough we had played through all of our songs. We had shortened it by two songs though, I didn’t want Andy to have to keep dealing with his fucked-up ribs.
“Thank you Arizona!” I yelled into the microphone, shoving Andy out of the way.
“We have been Black Veil Brides! I hope you had a good fucking time, and we’ll see you at the signing tent later!”
I pulled Andy off stage with me, followed by the other guys.
“What was that Ash?” Andy complained. “We weren’t done. We still had Die for You and New Religion.”
“I’m sorry Andy, but you didn’t take your pain medication did you?” I asked.
“No…”
“Exactly. I couldn’t see you walking around stage in pain any longer. I had to stop there.”
“Aww, you’re so sweet.” he hugged me.
“I noticed that too, but I didn’t know what to do.” Jinxx spoke up.
“I was behind the drums. I couldn’t just stand in the middle of a song to say goodbye.” Christian pointed out.
“I know, that’s why I did.” I said.
“Hey, where’s Jake?” Andy suddenly asked.
He had followed us offstage, but now he was nowhere to be found.
“I don’t kno-” I was interrupted by a loud crash.
“Fucking shit!”
That was definitely Jake’s voice.
“Jake?” I called out, following the sounds of clattering metal.
We found him on the other side of the stage, crumpled on the ground near the 8-steps that led to the actual stage.
“Shit, are you okay?” Jinxx asked, leaning down.
“No.”
“What’s wrong.”
“My ribs.” he was grasping his right side.
“Jake, I know you’re jealous of all the fan attention I’m getting from having MY ribs broken, but that isn’t an excuse to go break your ribs.” Andy smirked.
“I didn’t know Andy was your secret role model.” I added.
“Guys, seriously. He’s hurt.” Jinxx spoke up.
“I see. You come to my house laughing your asses off at the video of me falling, but reprimand me when I comment on Jake?” he muttered under his breath.
“Yeah, but that was after we found out you were okay.” Jinxx pointed out.
“Does this look like I’m okay? My ribs are shattered.”
“Well you’re on pain medication.” Jake muttered.
“No, I’m not!”
“Okay, okay! Enough arguing!” I interfered. “Jake, what happened?”
“I got off stage with you guys, but I left my cell phone up here so I went back to get it. I got a call from Ella, so I started walking over here.” he gestured to the top of the stage.
“Then someone pushed me down.”
“Did you see who?” Christian asked, cracking his knuckles.
“No. when I looked up, they were walking away.”
“Okay, what did you see?” I prodded.
“He was tall, and insanely skinny. Dark brown hair cut really cool, but strange at the same time.”
The description seemed familiar…
No, it wasn’t possible. I thought I saw Andy pale, but his skin is already milky white it was hard to tell.
There are a lot of people here, someone’s bound to resemble Zack’s appearance right?
Jake didn’t even see who it was properly. At a place like Warped, practically everybody had dark, long hair.
“Okay Jake, let’s get you to the hospital.”
"What about the signing?"
"Looks like we're missing it. Andy and Christian can cover for us."
I helped him up, and walked him towards the tour bus with Jinxx on the other side of him.
Déjà vu, anyone?
♠ ♠ ♠
People were asking what happened with Ashley; it was kept secret.
Jake is now broken.

Is Zack plotting his revenge already? Or is it all just a coincidence?
