TAYLOR POV

I thought it was funny that Chris couldn’t tell me what they really were running interference for. I wasn’t really mad at him, because I thought it was kinda cool that he was trying to keep the peace between my brother and Tammy. I guess I’ll tell him later that I already know all about Miami and Keri, and that I haven’t said a word to Tammy about it either, I know how my brother feels about her, and vice versa, and I would never do anything to ruin that, but I WILL talk to J about it! Just as we were coming out the DJ both, I saw Keri headed our way, but no Terrence. Boy this chick was too much for me, here she is with Terrence and still trying to get at my brother. Uhhh no ma’am, she needs to stick with Terrence, and back off my brother.

“Hey Keri! Girl, you look awesome” I said moving around Chris to give her a hug

“Me, girl look at you” she smiled “That color is pretty on you” she finished

“Thanks. Sooo, where’s Terrence?” I asked looking around her shoulder

“Oh, he went on up to VIP, I thought I’d come say hi to Justin” she smiled

“Oh, girl, you don’t want to go up there now, he’s in a mood, you know stressing a lil; GT hasn’t come in yet. and it’s almost time for his set to start. Just come with me and Chris to VIP, he’ll be over in a minute, once he gets things situated and GT gets here.” I smiled causally turning her in the opposite direction.

“Oh ok, yeah, if he’s busy then I’ll just see him when he comes to VIP then” she smiled turning around. I turned to Chris who was almost literally sweating bullets and gave him a quick wink. He smiled back at me as if he could read my mind.

“Hey Barbz” Nicki said as we entered the VIP area. “Keri, its nice to see you” she smiled

“Hey doll face” I said giving Nicki a hug! “You look HOT tonight”

“Me? Check you out in that Barbie pink” Nicki laughed, “I told you that was a pretty color on you” she finished “Miss Keri Baby, girl you are working that lil black dress” Nicki turned to Keri

“Oh thanks girl, its just a lil something that I had in the closet” she laughed

We went and took a seat on the couch. There were bottles of Rosay already chilling in some ice on the lil coffee table in front of the couch. Terrence walked over to us to speak

“Hello ladies” Terrence smiled

“Hey Terrence” me and Nicki said in unison as he leaned over to give both of us a hug

“Tay you looking pretty night, as do you Nick” Terrence smiled

“Thanks” I smiled back

“Hey babe, did you want anything to drink?” Terrence leaned over to Keri and giving her a quick peck on the check.

“No baby, I’m fine” she smiled back

“Umm, will you guys excuse me real quick” I said getting up and heading over to where Chris was standing talking to Trey, Drake, and Tyga

“Yeah sure barbz, like we don’t know where you’re going” Nicki laughed

“Hush Nicki” I laughed walking past them. I walked up to Chris and snaked my arms around his waist, causing him to turn around with a smile and wrap his arms around my waist.

“Hey guys” I smiled as Chris turned me around to face Trey, Drake, and Tyga.

“Hey Tay” they all smiled and said literally one after another

“Do you guys mind if I still him away for a minute” I said smiling up at Chris

“Naw, babygurl, you good” Tyga smiled

“Cool, we’ll be right back” I said winking at the guys and leading Chris out to the patio

“What’s up baby?” Chris said pulling me close and kissing my forehead

“I think it’s cool how you want to have J’s back and all, but you could have told me what you guys were really doing” I said leaning my back against his chest as we over looked the city and street below

“Babe, how you know about Keri and J? “

“Well, for starters I have friends in Miami, and one of them saw the two of them all hugged up with each other a few times that weekend, and called and asked if I knew that they were talking. J doesn’t know that I know, nor have I told Tammy. I know how my brother feels about his girlfriend, and I also know that whatever happened in Miami, was just a weekend fling thing, nothing serious, but I don’t want to see my brother get hurt, nor do I want to see Tammy get hurt. I’m going to talk to J about it later, but as for right now, I’m going to run as much interference as I can, but at the same time, I intend to show Keri that my brother love Tammy and that whatever happened in Miami was a one time thing” I explained

“Taylor Rochelle Martin, you never stop amazing me” Chris replied turning me around and pulling me even closer than what I already was.

“I have to keep you on your toes” I smiled leaning up to Chris and giving him a soft , sweet, passionate kiss and wrapping my arms around his neck. We slowly pulled out of our kiss and just looked into each other eyes for what seemed like hours, but was really only a minute or two before the door opened letting out all the musical sounds from within the club.

“Hey Tay, I don’t mean to interrupt ya’lls special moment, but can I talk to you for a minute?” Tyga said shyly

“Oh ok it’s cool Ty, sure you can talk to me. Babe, can you give us a minute, I’ll be right in” I smiled

“Yeah babe, no problem. Tyga, don’t be trying to steal my girl” Chris laughed leaning over and giving me a quick peck on lips then giving Tyga some dap before walking back in the club.

“Naw bruh, you don’t have to worry about that, she’s all yours” Tyga smiled dapping Chris back before he walked in the club.

“What’s up hun?” I smiled rubbing his arm

“Nothing really…well actually it’s about Lauren and Wayne” he started

“C’mon, you look like you really need to talk about this” I said slightly pulling his arm in the direction of the over sized round couch so that we could sit down.

“Well, it’s like this. I’m really feeling her, and we have fun when we’re together. She makes me smile and whenever I know I’m gonna see her, I actually get excited and try to look my best. But I know I need to tell Wayne that me and her have been kicking it, if for nothing else but out of respect for him. I mean she is his baby mama, and I don’t want to step out of line, you know what I mean?” he explained

“Yeah, I know what you mean, but have you tried to sit down and talk to him about it. Wayne is a really sweet and cool person, I think if you go to him man to man, he’ll respect you for that rather than if you went behind his back and did it. Is he coming tonight?” I asked

“Yeah he’s supposed to, and so is Lauren” he replied with a worried look on his face.

“It’s okay hun, just text him to find out where he is, and do the same with Lauren. If he’s closer than she is or whenever he gets here, then you need to go ahead and pull him to the side and talk to him about it. The sooner the better hun” I said gently rubbing circles on his back. “especially if you’re feeling her like that and want to take it to the next step, then you need to talk to him ASAP” I finished

“Yeah, you’re right Tay. Thanks for listening and for the advise. I swear you like the big sister that I never had” he smiled giving me a hug

“Aww, hun anytime, you’re like a lil brother to me, so anytime you need to talk or anything, you can always call or come over. By the way, I didn’t thank you for making listen to what Chris had to say, and for having his back” I smiled hugging him back.

“Well, you better get back in before his ole big headed ass comes out here looking for you, plus I need to see where Wayne and Lauren are” he smiled as we stood up.

“It’ll all be work itself out, I promise” I smiled holding his cheek in my hand then giving him a hug before walking back in the club.

As I walked back in I surveyed the VIP area just to see if anybody had arrived while I was on the patio, and to make sure that Keri didn’t have J cornered somewhere. As I looked around, I noticed that Nicki had gotten up and was standing by Trey and Chris talking. I could tell something was wrong by the look on Chris’s face. He looked a lil annoyed. I looked around to see if something had happened, when my eyes landed on Kae sitting next to Keri talking and laughing. I could feel myself getting frustrated, but I refused to let her upset my night. How did she get in and who the hell invited her in the first place? Just as she made eye contact and gave me a nasty look, I rolled my eyes at her and walked over to where Chris was talking to Nicki and Trey. I walked up to Chris and wrapped my arms around his waist, causing him to look down and give me his million dollar smile.

“Did you miss me” I smiled up at him

“You know I did baby” he smiled back leaning in and softly kissing my lips.

“Hey doll, you okay” Nicki said nodding in Kae’s direction

“Oh yeah girl, I’m good, I’m not worried about her, he’s going home with me as usual” I laughed slightly squeezing Chris.

“Yep, you already know” he said kissing my forehead

“Well, heads up ya’ll here comes trouble” Trey smiled nodding behind us where Kae was walking up.

“Hi Chris!” Kae smiled “Taylor” she said giving me the stank eye

“Sup Kae” Chris replied dryly smacking his lips and tightening his arms around my waist as though he was holding me back from something

“Karrueche” I replied giving her the stank eye and a smirk back

“So I guess the rumors are true that the two of you are a couple” she said rolling her eyes at me.

“No, he’s just standing here keeping me warm” I replied sarcastically as Chris gave me a soft pinch on my side for being rude and Trey and Nicki giggled behind us. “I apologize for being rude, but yes we are” I replied smiling up at Chris.

“So I was right, it WAS all about Taylor” Kae said giving me the stank eye AGAIN. I swear that heffa was starting to piss me off.

Chris clinched his jaws, stepped to the side and moved in front of me and replied “NO, I told you it was about you tryin to sleep with my best friend behind my back, Taylor had NOTHING to do with us breaking up; YOU did that. She makes me happy. She’s not full of all the drama” he finished stepping behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist.

“Mm, well whatever you have to tell yourself Chris” she replied “All I know is that if he left me for you, he DEFINITELY leave you for somebody else” she said giving me a devilish smirk

As I started to move closer to her, Chris pulled me back and Nicki stepped between us “Ok Picachua or whatever your name is, it’s time for you to leave. How your skanky ass got up here in the 1st place I don’t know, but I think if you know what’s best, you NEED to leave” Nicki said looking Kae dead in the eyes.

“And you would be who again?” Kae replied all up in Nicki’s face and giving her a stupid look.

“Oh no this bitch didn’t” Nicki said getting ready to step closer just as Trey grabbed her around her waist, and J came walking over to us seeing the whole thing.

“Is there a problem?” J said stepping up behind Kae

“No, there’s no problem J” she turned around and smiled at my brother

He gave her a stern look “Good, then you should leave” he said stepping to the side so that she could walk by.

“I think I’ll just go sit with Keri for a few minutes” she replied glaring at me.

“No, I think it’s best if you leave all together” J looked at her.

“Whatever” she said rolling her eyes and walking off. We all watched her as she went grabbed her purse and walked down the stairs.

“I’m sorry about that Tay” J looked at me with pleading eyes.

“It’s okay, it wasn’t your fault babyboy” I replied rubbing his arm.

“I’ll be back, I need to see whose at the door and let them know what’s up” he said turning and walking toward the stairs.

“Hey baby, you okay” Chris said turning me around to face him.

“I’m just fine babe” I smiled wrapping my arm around his neck and leaning up to kiss him. He leaned over and planted a soft kiss on my lips, smiling into it.

“My girl’s got my back” I smiled coming out of our kiss then turning to smile at Nicki.

“You know I do doll” she smiled “but thank you Trey for holding me, because I was about to stomp her ass” she finished smiling at Trey.

“We wouldn’t have let ya’ll get that far” Trey smiled taping Chris on the arm.

“Hell naw” Chris smiled squeezing me around my waist.

“Babe, I’ll be back, while I’m in the mood, I have something else that I need to go take care of” I smiled at him, then grabbed Nicki’s arm “c’mon Nick, you’re coming with me” I finished, pulling Nicki off with me.

***********Meanwhile***********

TYGA POV

I felt much better after talking to Taylor, and I took her advise and texted Wayne to find out where he was. I needed to talk to him before Lauren gets here so things aren’t too awkward.

Tyga: Hey bruh, u comin to the Spot tonite?

Weezy: Yeah, just got here, walkin in now

Tyga: oh aight, cool, we in VIP

Weezy: Aight

Now I need to see where my future girl is. So I texted Lauren to see where she was.

Tyga: Hey beautiful, u comin to the Spot tonite?

MsLauren: Hey cutie, yeah we’re getting ready to leave

Tyga: Ok cool, who u with?

MsLauren: oh just my girl Malika

Tyga: Ok sweetheart, be careful see u when u get here

MsLauren: ok hun, see you in a few

I smiled at her text, then locked my phone and went back in the club. As I walked in, I could see Kae walking towards the stairs. This could not be good. I walked over to Chris and Taylor to see if everything was alright.

“I’ll be back, I need to see whose at the door and let them know what’s up” J said turning and walking toward the stairs just as I stepped up. Chris checked on Taylor and Nicki, then Taylor grabbed Nicki’s hand and walked off towards the couches. Taylor said that she had to take care of something. I figured she was going to go see what was up Keri and J, and knowing Taylor, she was going to nicely put Keri in her place. I looked up and Chris and Trey as Chris watched his girl walk away.

“Man, what the hell I miss?” I asked

“Man, Kae came over here on her bullshit, trying to start shit, talking about she knew that I broke up with her because of Taylor, and then she tells Tay that I would leave her too in time” Chris said, his voice filled with hostility.

“Yeah, and when Taylor got ready to go off on her, Nicki stepped in, and Kae acted like Nicki wasn’t shit, talking about ‘And you are WHO again?’” Trey explained imitating Kae

“What the hell she say that to Nick for, she must’ve wanted to die tonight” I laughed causing Trey and Chris to laugh too.

“Naw man, I grabbed Nick before she could get it, and that’s about the time that J walked up and told her that she needed to leave” Trey replied.

“So, what’s up with you?” Chris asked nodding to the patio from where I came in.

“Aw nothing, I just needed a females pov, that’s all. Taylor’s like the big sister that I never had” I smiled

“Yeah, she’s great Chris, you picked a good one this time” Trey chimed in

“Yeah, I did. Soo, what did she say?” Chris asked me

“Pretty much the same thing that ya’ll said earlier today, that I need to go ahead and tell Wayne”

“I hate to say I told you so, but …” Trey started

“Well then don’t” I chuckled interrupting him.

“Well, whatever you’re going to do, you better do it fast, Wayne just got here” Chris said nodding to the entrance door where Wayne was coming in with Lil Twist and Jae Millz.

“Yeah, well, I guess it’s now or never then huh?” I scoffed.

“Dude, just calm down, I’m pretty sure he ain’t gonna trip, and if he does, it’s not going to be too much” Trey said giving me a pat on the back.

Wayne made his way through the crowd of people, even being sweet to those ladies that would stop to speak and give him hugs. When he got up to the VIP he stopped to speak to everyone, giving Nicki , Taylor, and Keri hugs and kisses on the cheek before making his way over to where we were chilling.

“What’s up ya’ll” he nodded giving all of us dap

“Man, you already know how it is” Drake said giving him dap

“Man, it’s crazy in here, J got his place popping” Wayne said looking around at all the people in the club “So, Chris, where’s this new chick of yours that everybody’s been talking about?” Wayne smiled at Chris

“She’s over there sitting between Nicki and Keri” Chris smiled nodding towards where she was sitting

“Oh ok, yeah man, she fine” Wayne dapped Chris up with a smile. We stood there and chatted for few minutes, taking in the atmosphere and had a few drinks. Wayne had his back turned to the door when Lauren walked in. Hell I didn’t know that we had been standing there chillin for so long. I need to get this over with like NOW!!!

“Say bruh, can I hollatchu for a second” I leaned over to Wayne

“Yeah, lil bruh” he said heading towards the patio. He opened the door and walked outside as I followed closing the door behind me

“What’s on your mind homie?” Wayne said

“Look, you know you like a big brother to me and I respect you. I just needed to talk to you before making any kind of moves.” I started

“Man, you bet not be trying to tell me that you want to move to a new label or some shit like that” Wayne interrupted clinching his jaws.

“NAW man, HELL NAW, YMCM is my home, ya’ll are my family. Which is one reason why I need to talk to you.” I started “ See, it’s like this. I’ve been really feeling Lauren, and I want to respect the fact that ya’ll have a history and a son together. So I want to know if you would be okay with me asking her out. If not, I’ll stand down and continue looking at her as just a friend” I finished

Wayne stood there for a few minutes just looking out at night skyline before speaking. “Look I’m glad that you came to me first, and I can respect that too. But me and Lauren are just friends. I love her because she’s the mother of one of my kids, but that’s all. I don’t have a problem with you going out with her, just don’t mistreat her, or WE WILL have a problem” he replied

“Never that, my intentions are never to mistreat or hurt her” I replied

“Ok then, we’re good” he smiled giving me dap. “Now let me get back in here, and see what I can get into tonight” he laughed as we headed back inside.

Just as we walked in, I spotted Lauren and her friend Malika talking to Nicki, Taylor and Keri. She looked over at me and gave me pretty dimply smile causing me to smile back. Just her smile alone made my day. I was glad that I had talked to Wayne about the situation and that he was cool, now all I need to do is see if she’s willing to take it to the next level with me!

**********MEANWHILE**********

TAYLOR POV

I knew I had to talk to Keri while I was still the mood of confronting people, but the situation was Keri was different, it was touchy. Keri was now a client of mine and from what I could tell a really nice person. I didn’t want to step on any toes or offend her in anyway as well. I had to approach this one carefully. I slowly walked over to Keri, I needed to let Nicki calm down because she was still pretty hot from the whole Kae situation, plus I knew Chris was probably watching me. I turned to look back at him and just as I thought, he was, I gave a wink and a smile and turned back around. As we approached Keri, she was sitting there talking to Terrence and Bow Wow.

“Hey ya’ll, what’s up?” I smiled as we walked up

“Hey girl, is everything okay? Things looked a lil tense over there” Keri smiled back

“That? Oh yeah, everything’s fine” I said waving off the thought of Kae

“I’m right now, but I will be” Nicki chuckled

“Well, I know when 3 chicks get together, it can never be good for a guy, so I’m just gonna go holla at Wayne and ‘em” Terrence said standing up from his seat

“Yeah, I’m right behind you dawg” Bow Wow said following him

“So, what was that all about?” Keri asked

“Oh nothing, she thinks that Chris broke up with her to get with me, plus we’ve never really just liked each other. I can see right through her, and she’s knows it too” I said with a frown at just the thought of Kae

“Oh girl, she needs to stop tripping then, because everybody knows she’s a gold digging hoe. I’m not too fond of her either, I’m just polite, that’s all” Keri laughs causing me and Nicki to laugh too and kind of helping me to feel at ease

“Well, I tried to be polite to her, but when she started looking me up and down whenever she would come with Chris to J’s house to hang out and I was there, which was all the time, polite went out the door” I told her

“Yeah, you can only be polite to a person like that for so long” Nicki chimed in “but she got one more time to test me, and I’m gonna stomp her ass” Nicki laughed. Me and Keri laughed too.

“Keri, I wanted to ask you something, but I’m not sure how you’re going to take it” I said tryin to hide the worry in my eyes

“What’s up girl, you can ask me anything you want” she replied

“Ok, well it’s like this” I started “last year I know that you and my brother hooked up in Miami, I guess I’m just wondering if you’re still feeling him like that?” I questioned

“What? Girl, no, that was a weekend thing and I’ve been trying to tell him that but he keeps avoiding me” she laughed “I don’t know if he thinks I want to try to get with him or what, I just want to tell him that it was just a weekend fling and nothing more. I’m with Terrence and I really like him, so I just want to be friends with J, that’s all” she finished with a half smile

“Ohh ok. I just wanted to know, because I don’t like to go by what I’ve heard or what other people’s perception maybe. Plus, I guess you can say that I’m just being a protective sister too. I love my brother and Tammy and I just don’t want anybody to come between them, me included. If it was just a fling, then we’ll drop it and it stays in Miami.” I smile “I’m sorry if I was being nosey or if I offended you in any way, I was just wondering, that’s all” I finished

“Oh girl no, you’re good, I completely understand wanting to protect the people we love. And with that being said, don’t you break Chris’s heart. He’s been through a lot in the last few years, and by the way he talks about you, I can tell that he’s crazy about you” she smiled

“Noo, you don’t have to worry about that, I wouldn’t dream of hurting him, he’s my heart” I smiled looking over at him chatting with his boys. He caught me looking at him and flashed me that pretty smile making me blush and look away.

“ Yeah I can tell that” Keri said laughing at me and Chris flirting with each other from across the room “I’m just glad that he found someone that makes him smile and that has her own, if you know what I mean” she chuckled

“Yeah me too. I mean don’t get me wrong, I’ve worked with Rihanna on some tracks before, but Chris is like fam to YMCMB, Wayne’s been down with him since day one, we all show him love, so to see him actually really smile is nice, and Taylor you do that to him. Just look at him watching you from across the room” Nicki added with a smile.

“Well, ya’ll don’t have to worry about me being a gold digger or breaking his heart. I’d have to want to be heartbroken to break his, and the gold digging thing, yeahhhh not my style, that’s why I have my own company” I laughed causing them to laugh too. We sat and talked and sipped our drinks for a few more minutes until GT started playing Fabalous’s KILLIN ‘EM.

“Ooo, that’s my song, c’mon lets go dance” Nicki squealed grabbing my arm and pulling me up off the couch.

“Ok, Keri, you coming?” I asked

“Of course” she smiled as she took my hand and let Nicki lead us down to the dance floor where we found our spot in the middle of the floor and started to dance and sing along to the music. I couldn’t help but to look up at Chris standing in VIP chilling with his boys who were all watching us as we danced. He gave me a wink and a smile, I just blushed and went back to dancing with my girls. Keri was turning out to be a pretty cool chick. I would love to have her hang out with me, Nicki, and Tammy sometime, but I still needed to be sure that things with her and J were in the past. We danced for about 2 more songs before Chris, Terrence, and Trey came down to dance with us. The 6 of us danced to about 2 songs before we headed back up to VIP. As we got up the stairs I spotted Tyga and Lauren all hugged up sitting in a corner. I guess he talked to Wayne and made sure that everything was cool. I looked around and spotted J standing by the balcony that over looked the dance floor talking to Wayne and Drake.

“Hey babe, I’ll be back” I said slowly pulling away from Chris

“Ok” he nodded back

I walked over to Wayne, Drake, and J were standing.

“Hey ya’ll what’s up?” I smiled

“Hey Tay” Drake said leaning over and giving me a hug.

“Sup lil mama” Wayne said stepping to me to give me a hug “Man, Chris better watch out, as good as you looking girl, somebody might steal you from him” he laughed

“You are so silly Wayne, but thank you for the complement” I smiled

“What’s up Tay? You okay?” J asked with a somewhat concerned look on his face.

“Yeah, I’m good hun. Can I talk to you for a minute? Excuse us guys” I said slightly pulling him by the arm heading towards the patio. My dad taught him well, he opened the door for me as I walked out.

“What’s up sis?” J asked

“I know you’ve been trying to keep it from me, but you know I know you better than anybody else, so you know I know when you’re keeping something from me. I know about you and Keri, and before you even ask, Chris didn’t tell me, he was surprised that I knew about to. Don’t worry about how I found out, just know that I haven’t told Tammy about and I don’t intend to either, but I did talk to Keri, and she said she’s not trying to get things started with you, she’s cool with just being friends, and that she’s been trying to tell you that, but you keep avoiding her. I know you hate when I but in your life, but I’m just looking out for you and Tammy because I love you.” I explained

“I know sis, and I’m not mad. Thank you for being so over protective, but I can take of myself ” he laughed.

“Yes, I know you can Justin, but it’s my job to watch out for you, it always has been” I laughed giving him a hug. “ But I really think you need to talk to her, just so that the 2 of you are on the same page” I finished pulling out of our hug. “and the sooner the better babyboy”

“Ok Tay, I’ll talk to her, but if she tells me anything different than what you’ve told me, I’m keeping her at bay” he replied giving me a contagious smile

“Ok babyboy, that’s a deal”
