I saw it happening, but I couldn’t move, it was almost like I was standing outside of my body. Here I am on one knee asking the girl I’ve been in love with for almost 2 years to marry me. I remember buying the ring a few months back and I’ve been carrying it around in my pocket for the last month or so, just waiting for the right time to pop the question. I could hear all the ooos and awwws around the room, but the only thing I couldn’t hear was an answer, I could see her nodding her head yes, and that’s all I needed. Tammy had just given me the best birthday present ever. Everyone was coming up to us to give us hugs and say congratulations, and Tammy was showing off her ring to her girls. My parents came up and hugged the both of us before leaving. I looked around and there was no one left but the regular crew, just enjoying ourselves as we usually do.
I never saw Karrueche approach Taylor and Chris, so I’m not 100% sure how it all started, all I know is that I looked up ,Taylor was whipping her ass, while Caitlin was goin in on Seiko, followed by Nicki getting her licks in on Karrueche. The funny thing was, no body was stopping it, I think everybody saw it coming, but didn’t know how to react when it actually happened. I knew my sister, and she’s only going to give you 3 warning, that 4th time, you’re out, like in baseball. 1,2,3 strikes you’re out! The next thing I knew, Taylor and Caitlin were throwing Karrueche and Seiko out on their ass!
“What the hell just happened?” Tyga walked up to Chris with a look that was half amusement, half shock.
“Man, Karrueche just got her ass handed to her on a platter” he chuckled
“I bet she’ll think twice before fuckin with Taylor” Jermaine said standing next to Chris.
“HELL YEAH” Chris and Tyga laughed in unison
“Did I just see what I thought I saw” I asked a lil confused
“Aww bruh, I’m sorry about that, I should have stopped it” Chris said looking over at me
“Naw man, it’s cool, not many niggas can say that had front row seat to a chick fight on their birthday” I laughed
“Man, I’m the one that should be apologizing, I shouldn’t have brought her” Jermaine said
“Naw cuz, you had no idea what the situation was between Tay and Karrueche, plus it was bound to happen soon” I assured him
“I better go check on Taylor, I know she’s upset, I’ll be back” Chris said heading towards the ladies restroom
“Naw, let me check on her, I know she probably thinks she ruined my party”
“It’s your party man, stay out here, I’ll check on her” Chris said touching my shoulder
“Dude, I know my sister, let me handle this first, then she’s all yours. How about you and Tyga get the party started again, I mean I know it’s just the crew, but still” I shrugged
“Ok that’s a bet” he smiled and dapped me
“I’ll text you when I’m done, then you can have her” I smiled dapping him back
I walked over to the ladies room door, I could hear the girls in there talking. I could tell that they were trying to fix Taylor back up and assure her that she only did what she had to do. I lightly knocked on the door as they all stopped talking at the same time. A few seconds later Caitlin came to the door, peaking her head out
“What’s up?” she smiled
“Can I talk to Tay for a minute?” I asked
“Sure, lemme get everyone out so you two can talk” she smiled pushing the door open a little more, then turning to walk back into the ladies room “Hey ya’ll, lets give them a few minutes alone” she smiled as I slowly made my way into the restroom full of ladies, feeling a lil subconscious about being in the ladies room, but I owned the club, I could go into any room I wanted to.
“Thanks ya’ll” I smiled as they headed out of the bathroom, one by one.
Tammy stopped by my side before walking out “Baby don’t blame her” she smiled kissing my cheek before leaving out
“Hey Tay, you okay sis?” I asked slowly approaching her. Her head was hanging low as she flexed her hand open and closed.
“Yeah, I’m fine. My hand just hurts a lil. I’m a lil pissed off at myself too, because your birthday is ruined” she said, as I took a seat next to her on the cushioned bench that was set up in the ladies room. I could hear the music start back up.
“No you didn’t Tay, you just took care of a pest, you did what you had to do babygirl. We were taught when a person steps to you the wrong way, you put them in their place, and that’s all you did. She came into our establishment starting shit, and you just finished it” I offered a small smile, making her smile too
“Thanks Jus” she smiled leaning her head on my shoulder as I wrapped my arm around her. “Chris must think I’m some crazed ghetto girl” she scuffed
“I doubt that” I chuckled “Look at you, barely even a scratch on you, I hate to see what she looks like in the morning” I said squeezing her shoulder making her laugh a little. “Thank you for the awesome party sis, I couldn’t think of a better way to end it, you definitely started it and ended with a bang” I teased
“I’m glad you enjoyed it then. And I’m so happy for you and Tammy, congratulations babyboy. Looks like I’ll be the last one walking down the aisle, if I ever do” she laughed wrapping her arms around my neck
“Don’t worry Tay, you will, and when that day comes, I’ll be standing there with you just like you will with me. You got a dude that’s crazy about you, who knows what might happen for the two of you”
“I guess we’ll just have to see huh?” she smiled.
There was a light knock on the door, causing both of us to turn our attention in that direction. “I bet I know who that is” I smiled getting up to go to the door. “Tay, enjoy the rest of the night, don’t let that ruin your night” I kissed her forehead “I love you sis”
“I love you too babyboy” she smiled as I headed to the door.
CHRIS POV
I went to the DJ booth and told GT to get the party started again. He let DJ Khaled’s Welcome to my Hood play which set the crew off. I went over to the bar and asked Amber for 2 bottles of water, one for me and one for Taylor. I probably should have gotten her a shot of something, but I didn’t know if that was a good idea.
“Say Chris, dude, I didn’t mean to ruin the party, I…”Jermaine started as he leaned up against the bar next to me
“Dude, it’s not your fault, stop apologizing, that had been brewing for a while now, since they first met when me and Karrueche were together. Don’t trip over it, if it didn’t happen tonight, it would have happened on another night, so it’s all good” I replied giving him dap “Amber, get my homie something, whatever he wants” I smiled at the bartender
“Thanks man, I hate to see that side of my cousin, she’s too beautiful a person inside and out to let that side of herself show, or to allow someone to bring that side of her out” he finished “Can I get a Hennessy and Coke please” he smiled to Amber, she smiled back and got his drink
“Its cool, I’m going to go check on Taylor. Enjoy yourself, it’s a party, go talk to Cai, I’m sure she’ll make you feel better” I smiled before walking off. He just shot me a grin
I walked over to the ladies room door and lightly knocked on the door. I waited a few minutes before going to check on my girl, giving her and her brother a few minutes alone to talk. I waited for either Taylor or Justin to answer the door. I needed to see my girl though, I needed to know for myself that she was okay, to put my arms around her and let her know that everything was okay. I was proud of her, she handled her business though, she was definitely a hit first ask questions later type of chick. Justin pushed open the door, gave me dap and came out as I went in.
“Hey beautiful” I leaned over trying to look into her eyes, offering her a small smile “I brought you a bottle of water” I said handing her the bottle
“Hey Chris, thanks” she whispered, barely even audible taking the bottle as I took a seat next to her
“Heyyy, baby what’s the matter?” I said in a low tone, gently lifting her chin with my index finger to see a tear rolling down her cheek
“Nothing” she replied almost lower than her first answer
“C’mon Taylor, I know you better than that baby, talk to me” I said gently wiping her tears with my thumb, then pulling her close to me.

“All of your friends had your back, they were on your side, not hers. Hell Cai beat down Seiko for trying to get at you. And as for me, I don’t think or love you any less than before the fight. In fact I’m proud of you for not letting her get away with all her bullshit that she’s been causing lately. They way I see it, it’s not like you didn’t warn her to step off” I smiled gently pulling her back to wipe her tears away, offering her a small smile
“Can we get outta here baby, not just the bathroom, but the club itself?” she asked

“Ohhh well, shiiittt, we can take care of that right now” I said standing up reaching for my belt buckle
“Noooo, silly, that’s dessert. I want Waffle House first, you owe me remember” she smiled standing up straightening out her skirt.
“Yes I remember, lets go tell everybody bye first, and see if Cai wants to leave with us” I said wrapping my arms around her waist, pulling her close. She wrapped her arms around my neck.
